Think one of the biggest mistakes we, as fans, make is equating a person's music/artistry, with who they are as people. Luke is a mediocre artist (to me) but seems like a really good human. Steve Earle is a good artist, but seems like a crap human. One doesn't relate to the other. I mean, to an extent, agreed. It depends on the instance, I think. For example, I really couldn't care less if Chris Brown ended up releasing "Hallelujah 2.0;" I'd still say "f**k him." I don't necessarily agree with separating the artist from their creation entirely, because supporting art means supporting the creator, and I'm not here to support s**tty people. My point was more s**tty people can make good music (and vice versa), not that you have to buy it - that's a different issue.

"Heaven" moves up 9 spots on Mediabase and lands at #55,
This song goes for adds tomorrow and with this song already nearing the Top 50 on Mediabase I expect a solid add week for this song, anywhere from 35-45 adds.

Not as good as What Ifs to me, but this is still very solid and I expect this to be huge heading into the new year.

I would have gone for a different single, as this one doesn't go anywhere. It's kinda pretty but that's it. Grandaddy's Chair would have been my pick :)

"Heaven" enters the MB Top 50 at #49.
After hearing this song, I wouldn't mind if Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina tried to be a duo. His voice has improved since "Used to Love you Sober" (not a hard achievement), but he just does nothing for me as a solo artist as a whole.

Looks like this is having a rough time at radio. Really slow climb.
Also, I'm not sure if anyone else pointed this out... but does this sound like "Die a Happy Man"? The beginning feels like it. Maybe I'm just going crazy.

Maybe I'm just going crazy. This song is actually doing really well if you ask me. This song is at #35 on Billboard after only 7 weeks on the chart. That's really great for a new artist if you ask me. I don't think anyone here was expecting Kane Brown to have a fast chart climb with this song especially since he only has 1 hit song with radio so far. This songs chart climb was always gonna be slow or at least not as fast as a Carrie Underwood, Thomas Rhett, Sam Hunt or Luke Bryan song would climb the chart.

#23 on iTunes all-genre. Unsurprisingly, this looks likely to become one of the biggest country hits of 2018.

Outside of Thomas Rhett and maybe Sam Hunt or Florida Georgia Line if they releases some new music, I think Kane Brown will have the biggest year at country radio. Radio still seems a bit slow to fully embrace him, but the sales/streaming will be too hard to ignore. This one is turning into a mega hit and I imagine it will be followed up by something strong as well, whether its a new lead single or another song from the deluxe version of the album. 2018 will be the year where we say Kane became a huge star.

I wouldn't be shocked if they released the Chris Young duet. As someone who loves Chris Young voice, there are moments there are hard to tell whether Kane or Chris are singing, but it is the kind of ear worm that would likely do well at radio...would just be an issue if Chris' camp wants to release something right now (which I could see them not with the Losing Sleep era in its infancy).

I actually like Kane's voice. It's very distinctive. "What Ifs" had a unique sound that wasn't completely divorced from country, and it had strong lyrics. This one is also very well done lyrically.

Kane's self-titled album returns to the top of the Country Albums chart (the one that counts sales, downloads, and streaming) this week. What's fascinating about this is the fact this album has now been #1 in three different years.

I wasn't really sold on Kane Brown at first -- I liked "Used To Love You Sober" a lot, but some of his other iTunes singles seemed way too bro-country for my liking -- but "What Ifs" was great and I really enjoy "Heaven" as well. I definitely agree with those of you who've said Kane is set up for a big 2018. Aside from "Meant To Be" and maybe "Marry Me", "Heaven" looks like it could be the biggest hit out of all songs currently being promoted to country radio. It's #27 on iTunes even though it's only just reached the top 30 at country radio. In other words, this is already a hit and it's really only just getting started at country radio. I definitely think "Heaven" is going to be a huge hit in the end, possibly even bigger than "What Ifs". I'm pretty sure it had reached the top 20 on iTunes prior to the Grammys, which means that it probably won't take long to get back there. Thomas Rhett's "Marry Me" was also in the 18-28 range on iTunes when it was in the 25-30 range at Mediabase, so I'm thinking Kane will have a similar trajectory, meaning that this could potentially challenge for the iTunes top 10 when it's in the top 10 at country radio.

I'm curious where his next single will come from. Will it be a brand new lead single, will they go back to the original songs from the album before the re-release, or will they pick another newer song from the re-release? The album is still selling extremely well, so I'm not sure if they'd be in a rush to move on from it yet. But at the same time, a brand new lead single from Kane is probably going to explode on the sales and streaming charts, so I could see that working out well too.
If they choose a newer song from the re-release, I'd go with "Found You" or "Setting The Night On Fire". Both sounds like big radio hits. If they return to one of the original 11 songs (the least likely of the 3 scenarios in my opinion), then I'd like to see them take a risk and go with "Learning". It could possibly be slightly polarizing, but I think it would sell like crazy. The production still seems pretty safe for radio, but the song touches on some serious issues that country radio largely avoids in recent years (race, domestic/child abuse). I could see that one being a career type of hit song. "Better Place", "Cold Spot" and "Hometown" all sound like potential big hits as well.

I like Brown's baritone, but outside of that, I'm not ecstatic by well he's doing. This song is becoming a big seller. Nothing about it really interests me. I'll stick with "What Ifs".

They should go with something off the Deluxe edition and uptempo since “Heaven” is a ballad. So that narrows down the options to “Found You” and “Setting The Night On Fire”. My personal choice would be the ladder. Such a catchy tune that would sound good in the summer. Chris and Kane are both on Sony, so label politics wouldn’t be an issue I’d think. That song is definitely selling/streaming the least though out of the 4 new tracks, so realistically, I see the label going with “Found You”. That one is definitely the second best seller/streamer out of the 4 new tracks.

"Setting the Night on Fire" would probably work fine as a choice because Chris Young is a big star as well and Kane Brown is just on fire right now, but the streams/sales difference between that and "Found You" is incredibly steep; fans have clearly latched onto "Found You" while there is little love for the other by comparison. If they don't go with that next, then they have a couple strong options from the original set like "Learning" and "Better Place." It's possible they move on to new music soon, but considering he's still doing really well and this is only the second hit of the album, I think it'd be smart to at least put out one more single from the project.

#23 on iTunes all-genre. Unsurprisingly, this looks likely to become one of the biggest country hits of 2018. Up to #15 on iTunes now, and I think it was even on the cusp of top 10 at one point. #1 streamed country song now besides "Meant To Be", and "What Ifs" is still at #5 on the streaming chart which is almost more impressive. The album is at #2, only behind Scotty's new release, which will most likely fall behind Kane this week. It's pretty interesting to see how much his career has blown up after initially struggling with his first two singles failed to gain much traction at radio.

Hot 100: #30 (+6) Country Airplay: #10 (+2) Country Songs: #2 (+2)
It took a bit for Thomas Rhett to drop from #2 on Country Songs. This probably will peak at #2 as well because of Bebe Rexha.

I am thinking whether this song can make top 20 in Hot 100 chart, maybe a timely discount will do it.

This song just goes down sooo easy. It's so good, and is definitely one of my favorites of the last year. I'm glad to see that Kane has really broken through with two songs ("What Ifs" and "Heaven") that are actually good. "Heaven" might be able to get 2-3 weeks at #1 on the Billboard chart, because I don't see Brett Eldredge, High Valley, or Darius Rucker making it to #1, and Kane is 11 million ahead of Blake Shelton, who's really slowed down lately. After Blake there's Dierks and also Luke Combs, and then we'll have Carrie and Kenny screaming up the chart pretty soon, but they'll all peak long after "Heaven" has wrapped up its run, and honestly this song might end up being a bigger hit than just about everything else that's been released lately, other than "Meant To Be" and maybe "Marry Me". I'd give "Heaven" a slight edge over Aldean's "You Make It Easy"; Jason's song has sold just a little better, but Kane has more than made up for it with streaming, and the result has been "Heaven" at #2 on Hot Country Songs for the last several weeks with "You Make It Easy" at #3.
"Heaven" is sitting at #2 on the Country Streaming Songs chart, with "Meant To Be" at #1 and "Marry Me" at #3. Dan + Shay's "Tequila" is up to #4, and Aldean is at #5. On the Country Digital Song Sales chart it goes Bebe/FGL at #1, then Jason, and then Kane. Additionally, I think "Heaven" would have slightly higher sales if it were a lead single like "You Make It Easy" is.
