I’ve been listening to the Spotify mix... damn, this will be hard. I’ve already came across 5-6 songs that I’ve thought “oh this is gonna be my #1”. Lol

Question.
Do we still include raylatch98's ranks, even though he is no longer a member of Pulse? I know there has been a few instances in the past of boardiciding members who participated in ongoing rankdowns, so I'm assuming we still include them, even though he left.

He always tanks Sara Evans! I agree. But for less superficial reasons, the deadline hasn't passed yet... it'd be different if we were in the middle of a rankdown and he left, but he left before it started so... I vote that his list gets left out imo.

I agree with gravey actually just because the list was sent before the member boardicided.

My non-snarky take on the matter is that he boardicided before the rankdown actually started, and the rankdown is supposed to be for Pulse members. If the rankdown were hurting for participants then I'd probably change my tune, but this one seems to be doing just fine participation-wise.
That being said, Ray seems like the kind of guy who will continue to come back and watch the country rankdowns as a guest, and I would hate to offend him by everyone immediately deciding to throw out his lists the moment he left... It's a dilemma for sure!

If I were the host of a rankdown and one of my participants boardicided before reveals began, I would still include that list (and after it's all over, I'd do a quick runthrough of how it would've turned out with active participants only).

Just over three days remaining before the deadline. Only a couple heads-ups left! If anyone is planning on getting a list in before Wednesday, let me know in-thread or PM me. On the flip side, if you have no interest and you're tagged, let me know and this will be the final time I will tag you. List received:austin Sambalada Kanenrá:ke someguy bboat11 zaclord 🌈 jtd Thee Stallion kw9461 tim George Strait Junkie rgreen0625 Willow Rinadoobee Breakfast bigfan101 Cody Wants Out... castleoblivion26gardyfan fearlessarrow myself as well (as well as raylatch98, but he boardicided before the deadline, so undecided whether or not to include him as a now former board-member) Tags: jhomes87 , .indulgecountry , Zeebz , Ten Pound Hammer , codyj100 , Markus Meyer , LBTrocks , vann , dm2081 , zjames , 14887fan , Jrod82 , Mr. Thonk Eyes , Leo ✔ , countrymusicjunkie , Dustin J. , Andy , d3vin44 , @adam1995 , Au$tin , Az Paynter , carriekins , carriefan15 , Troublemaker , brinkeronline , The Brazilian Guy 🇧🇷 , dub , @nickv1025 , phil1996 , Kentucky25 , robenglund Also, the way I'll work this rankdown will be fairly simple. Since I've been pretty busy in my real life lately, I'm unfortunately not going to do extended efforts in reveals, like graphs, trajectories, etc. Just simple points, averages and commentaries on every reveal. Also, if you are not planning on participating but still want to be tagged for reveals, let me know via in-thread or PM and I will gladly do so. And finally, a plea for more lists from the official dog of the 2006 Country rankdown, the corgi.

(as well as raylatch98, but he boardicided before the deadline, so undecided whether or not to include him as a now former board-member) I would say if you have his list to use it.

I meant on doing this a week ago (oops) but here are some of the songs that just missed being included (a couple of them because I'm a dum dum and forgot them). All of these made the top 50 on the R&R/Mediabase chart.
Garth Brooks - "That Girl Is A Cowboy" (R&R peak: #30) Hank Williams Jr. (feat. Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson & Van Zant) - "That's How They Do It In Dixie" (R&R peak: #33) Ray Scott - "My Kind Of Music" (R&R peak: #35) Neal McCoy - "The Last Of A Dying Breed" (R&R peak: #36) Dixie Chicks - "Not Ready To Make Nice" (R&R peak: #38) Lonestar - "I'll Die Tryin'" (R&R peak: #39) Bomshel - "Ain't My Day To Care" (R&R peak: #39) Tracy Lawrence - "If I Don't Make It Back" (R&R peak #40) Jeff Bates - "No Shame" (R&R peak: #40) Randy Rogers Band - "Kiss Me In The Dark" (MB peak: #40) Cross Canadian Ragweed - "Fightin' For" (R&R peak: #40) Cross Canadian Ragweed - "This Time Around" (R&R peak #40) John Mellancamp - "Our Country" (MB peak: #40) Chris Cagle - "Wal-Mart Parking Lot" (R&R peak: #41) The Lost Trailers - "Call Me Crazy" (R&R peak: #41) Ashley Monroe - "Satisfied" (R&R peak: #42) Rio Grand - "Kill Me Now" (R&R peak: #42) Sammy Kershaw - "Tennessee Girl" (MB peak: #42) Scotty Emerick - "What's Up With That" (R&R peak: #43) Rockie Lynne - "Do We Still" (R&R peak #43) Ray Scott - "Gone Either Way" (R&R peak: #44) Rushlow Harris - "That's So You" (MB peak: #44) Tracy Byrd - "Cheapest Motel" (MB peak: #44) Steve Azar - "You Don't Know A Thing" (MB peak: #44) Clint Black - "Drinkin' Songs & Other Logic" (R&R peak: #45) Hal Ketchum - "Just This Side Of Heaven (Hal-Lelujah)" (R&R peak #45) Bomshel - "It Was An Absolutely Finger-Lickin', Grits & Chicken, Country Music Love Song" (R&R peak: #45) The Lost Trailers - "Why Me" (MB peak: #45) Jimmy Wayne - "That's All I'll Ever Need" (MB peak: #45) Martina McBride (feat. Dolly Parton) - "I Still Miss Someone" (R&R peak: #46) John Corbett - "Good To Go" (R&R peak: #46) Susan Haynes - "Drinkin' In My Sunday Dress" (R&R peak: #46) Lindsey Haun - "Broken" (MB peak: #46) Mark Wills - "Hank" (R&R peak: #47) Jeff Bates - "One Second Chance" (R&R peak: #47) Hot Apple Pie - "Easy Does It" (R&R peak: #48) Van Zant - "Things I Miss The Most" (R&R peak: #50)
* I'm sure quite a few here have been long forgotten about or even never heard of, but I highly suggest going back and listening to these via Spotify or YouTube, because some of them are stellar songs. When Nielsen bought Radio & Records, they switched it to reflect Billboard numbers and Mediabase started Country Aircheck in August of 2006.
* Even though Garth made the top 30 with "That Girl Is A Cowboy", it only lasted 9 bulleted weeks on the chart and 11 total. "Not Ready To Make Nice" by the Dixie Chicks only lasted 5 bulleted weeks on the chart, 7 total from March to April. It never even reached more than 20 monitored stations on the R&R panel (at the time there was 123 stations on the panel).
* "Easy Does It" would be the third and final single for Hot Apple Pie.
* "Kill Me Now" was the only charting single for Rio Grand. Danny Rivera and Fred Stallcup would later found Sweetwater Rain in 2012 and charted with "Starshine."
* Lindsey Haun's song, "Broken", was off the soundtrack for Broken Bridges, which starred her and Toby Keith.
* "That's All I'll Ever Need" was Jimmy Wayne's first single in nearly two years and first with Big Machine, after DreamWorks shuttered in 2005. Jimmy would later be shifted to BMLG imprint, Valory Music Company.
* I can understand why some of these didn't do better (label, artist) but I still to this day have no clue how "Wal-Mart Parking Lot" by Chris Cagle bombed so bad after "Miss Me Baby."

One more thing. Since the deadline is Tuesday, January 16th at 11:59 PM EST, that means I will try hard to get the numbers crunched by Friday or Saturday (work and family matters might infringe). That's when I hope to start this. If not, then by the following Monday or Tuesday (January 22nd or 23rd) at the latest.
I'll probably be rolling out the usual prediction questions this Monday or Tuesday. :)

It's a lot to ask to rank 101 songs as is though, let alone 140 lol. I plan on going deeper for the 2003 and 2007 rankdowns, which I'll likely do later in the year, in the summer or fall.
