I'm very surprised this has hung on so long and hasn't gotten lost in the shuffle. Although, the chart is very, very weak right now, so this is starting to pick up at just the right time to peak higher than it probably should.
Kip has been one of the most remarkably uninteresting artists I've seen stay at least moderately successful since I've followed country music. Other than his debut era (which I do admit was a fairly good album), everything else has been extremely forgettable, so I'm surprised he's been able to squeeze out a couple minor hits from these songs that I literally cannot even remember any names of. I'd love for this one to throw in the towel soon for this reason, but it has a healthy bullet now and like I said, the chart is so soft right now and several other songs are on the verge of dying so this could easily make a push to the top 10 or even further. Hope I'm wrong and this will leave soon, but that isn't looking as likely to happen now as it did 3-4 weeks ago.

Any reason in particular you want this to be gone off the charts?

That and for me the song has really burned out for me.

Loved his first album. Young Love was a better song than the chart would say. Everything since has been very forgettable.

I’ve liked all of his albums. Up All Night was definitely a different sound but still think his music is better than most. And unique
I would love to see him re release one of those Up All Night album tracks though, someday. Everything But You, Crazy One More Time, Where You Are Tonight, Mary Was The Marrying Kind (somehow flopped), all should’ve been huge.

I will admit that Kip's album tracks are better than the singles they've released, that being said, I love Kip and I think he's pretty great. I find his songs interesting and actually have a story and/or a point to them. Plus, live there's not many that I've seen that I'd put ahead of him. The dude can control a room and his fanbase is rapid. It's amazing to see.

I actually feel like Kip has gotten better every album era. The problem is he’s basically a rock artist, and he’s not really pandering to current radio trends. If he existed in the 80s he could have been a Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen or John Mellencamp type. But sadly that subtype of music doesn’t have a format home these days, so instead he’s being labeled as a country artist because it’s the closest fit. I really don’t see him becoming any bigger honestly, which is a shame but that’s just the way it is now.

He doesn’t put up with people treating his fans like shit, either, which I really like about him.

I’m sure Kip would like more radio success, and while he isn’t an arena headliner, he has played to the large theater crowds that consistently come out every album cycle. His fan base loyalty is much stronger than some artists that have had more number ones.

“Tennessee Boy” is on iTunes. Really catchy, nice and stripped down. I’m excited for this EP. Especially the Worsham co writes

Any shot Last Shot hits the top 5? With this being on Week 44 it's not entirely out of the question but my gut is telling me that this can get Top 10, but not Top 5.

Kip posted on Instagram that in addition to the upcoming acoustic album, a studio album will be getting released probably around summertime.
Which means that after this one peaks (hopefully in the top 10) that in probably Jan 2019 to expect a lead single.

I’m so happy to see Kip get another top ten with this song. I know a lot of people are probably sick of seeing it on the charts still but I’m glad it was able to work it’s way up to where it’s gotten. This has become one of my favourite songs on the album (and it is full of good songs!)
I’m not a very intelligent chart-watcher, so can anyone give me odds on this getting to Top 5?

I hope this can go top 5 and maybe higher. Kip Moore is a great artist with a huge fan base. I love how Moore takes risks with singles and albums, not just putting out the same song over and over or copying the next person. We need more artists like Kip who care about the music. More Kip Moore please.

Thrilling to see this one rise as high as it has. Not sure if it’ll get higher, but still awesome to see back to back big hits.
Next single is VERY important. Acoustic album is doing great, Slowheart era did really well, and radio appears to officially be on board with Kip again. He could really make a dent with a big lead single from album #4 in early 2019.

Was at his acoustic show with Worsham last night. I guarantee that small place was as electric, if not more than your average Chris Young arena show. Wow. What a fan base. He did MAYBE 4 radio hits the whole night.
Also said his record label said “Last Shot” was too COUNTRY for radio. Lol

This song has been on the chart for nearly a year. If Kip is planning a new album and a lead single in early 2019, I think I would be wise if radio tries for max spins for LS next week. The song has virtually no chance of getting to #1 and getting a top 5 peak would be really good and would keep his momentum going into the next album cycle.

If “Last Shot” can make it to #5, Kip would have five Top 5 hits on the Country Airplay chart - and they would have each peaked at a different spot - 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. That would be kind of cool.
I love Kip’s music so I am always happy to see him have success at radio - I just wish it didn’t take so long each time! I do love this song a lot, but I think it’s time for something new in 2019.

So ready for this song to leave. Nearly 50 weeks on the chart, non event as a single, takingbup chart space and this song has really burned out on me. Beyond ready for new music.

The acoustic album is the best music he has put out since Up All Night. Hands down.

MCA Nashville is running a "Power Up" ad in Aircheck this week, so they'll max this the first or second week of January. It won't get to #1 but could get into the top 5.
It went to radio in November of 2017...just another case example of how slow singles move nowadays. Kip's song didn't crack the Mediabase top 30 until mid-July of 2018...

"Last Shot" is appearing to be done!!! Loses 124 spins and very little audience on this morning's update for Mediabase.

Great to see this one hit the top 5. Overall a great album era for Kip. Expecting a lead single from 4th album (which is almost finished) within the month.
