If you're interesting in streaming reputation, it can be done so through iHeartRadio's app in a reputation channel they came up with for the occasion.

I'm weary, but I don't doubt the numbers. It's Taylor Swift guys, doesn't matter how badly received the singles have been. It's still Taylor Swift.
There's a lot of salt in this thread, it's kind of amazing. If the album does debut with over 2 million next week I cannot wait to see people on this forum implode, it's gonna be glorious.

I don't doubt the 2m at all, I doubt the 800k from iTunes in an hour.
By that logic she should be at 2m by now easily lol when stores are open and all that and 5m by the end of the week.
Because it's just not possible that from the predicted 2m she had sold almost half in an hour. In comparison, highly anticipated lead single sold 353k IN A WEEK.
If I'm wrong, I'm glad because it's an Earth shattering world record that Adele wishes she had achieved.

Another 1 million opening on lock. REPUTATION : A VERY EARLY READBased on the limited info available today, we believe Taylor Swift’s reputation (Big Machine/BMLG) will land somewhere in the range of 1.3-1.5m on next week’s chart, almost certainly besting her previous album, 2014’s 1989, by at least 100k. This will be Tay’s fourth album in a row to debut with more than 1 million in first week sales, with each of those albums selling more than the one before. Of course, these very preliminary reads precede her Saturday Night Live appearance and a possible tour announcement—and whatever other moves she may have in store for D2C, TV, radio, etc. Stay tuned for one-day projections.

What a perfect kiss off to her detractors. ❤ Personally, those numbers surprise tf outta me.

So right now they are saying 100k more than her previous release. If it wasn't for the gimmicks she probably would have come in a bit lower, as that is only natural with all things considered, but more power to her and her team.

Tbh selling 100k more than 1989 in 2017 is much more difficult than doing the same in 2014. Props to Taylor and her team!

That's amazing. More than 1989 in 2017. And with no Shake it Off.

I have to admit I underestimated how crazy her fans are. I wonder how many of them actually bought 13 copies at 13 different stores to get "Taylor points" on her website. Lots...lol. that was the point of my previous post that she would have come in a little lower, but if she did, it would still be damn good.

She's without a doubt the biggest female artist ever in the US.

I don't understand it but wow. Good for her. Most I can say is that Taylor Swift and her fan base exist outside of the rest of the industry. Much like Adele. Sales/streaming trends do not apply. The number might explode with a ticket bundle.
I still am doubting the album's longevity though. But perhaps that's dumb of me.

If not for Adele, Taylor would be besting the record for biggest opening by a female artist.

Talking about the whole 13 copies promotion, etc. People who seriously believe a "13 copies" promotion could be responsible for a significant portion of her first week figure are seriously deluded IMO. I mean you're talking about dropping nearly $200 just to bolster an artist's opening. Only the most rabid fans would commit to something this extreme. Some, as usual, are just looking for a loophole to smear her accomplishment.

Burning down everyone. I'm curious if this can trend up. Both Red and 1989 did (don't remember the first Speak Now predictions, but it might have as well). SNL is her only proper appearance lined up right now, but it wouldn't be like them to just leave it at that.

Totally agree with the highlighted part.

Unreal. She's a remarkable case study. Taylor vs. Adele showdown for their next albums plz. Lets make it 50 Cent vs Kanye style where the loser promises to retire, eventually backs out, and the winner becomes a narcissistic egomaniac.

Isn't Taylor technically already a narcissistic egomaniac? In all seriousness, super surprised she is down these numbers... I was expecting it to be shy of 1 million. Good for her.
