I probably won't participate in this one, I've got way too many rankdowns on my plate atm and most of the songs I know off this list aren't all that good imo
Going for Lake Michigan to win it all!

Another great looking chart. Yes. "Sorry" made the cut, tho I'm pretty sure you all gonna rank it right where it appears on this list. LOL! Anyway, I'm going to surely rank Katy Perry higher than M.I.A and Flobots. *Sigh I think I’m going to have the highest rank of Handlebars.

Ughhh I remember 91X playing "Handlebars" to hell and back. They even played the even more awful follow-up single.

lol I actually don't mind "Handlebars". It'll probably be in my bottom 25, but I never found it that bad. Though, I can see why people don't like it.
There's one song on here that has been galavanting all the way from my top 30 to my top 5. I've been obsessed with it since I added it to my music library.
This one actually might be one I submit well before the deadline! I'll probably start actual work on this once I finish the Duran Duran rankdown today.

this Handlebars talk is not good for my closeness rankings
also there's another song I ranked in the bottom half but it's been growing on me a lot recently, to the point where I would probably bump it a good 10-15 spots. However, given that a song with a similar vibe finished towards the bottom in the 2009 rankdown, I don't think my boosting will help it that much

I'm making the posts for the extras right now just to get a head-start on things, and it's always so painful to see so many great songs that would have been high up on my list miss the cut while some awful cock-rock songs ended up being successful enough to make it onto the list. I counted at least 10 different songs among the extras here that would have been in my top 25, including one song that would have been at #2 on my list had it made it on...

Started the playlist, and the first three songs I had to skip halfway through because they were so dreadful. Yay!

Weezer - Pork and Beans I should have clarified I shuffled the playlist ETA: holy fuck these last three songs that came up are horrendous too. Thankfully I got Jimmy Eat World in the middle of them which sounded like the best song to ever exist in between those. Spotify is pointing out my bottom 10 real quick. (one is my clear frontrunner for #100)

Handlebars isn't awful, but it hasn't aged well at all for me. Liked it a lot when it first came out, definitely won't be anywhere near my bottom 10 but idk how high it will actually end up.

Handlebars might be the most Alternative song in that list. It's not ''Alternative Rock'' but ''Alternative''. A song with rapping, a trumpet solo, a political message and an ending that sounds like Linkin Park...I can't see how this is pop or mainstream.

I'm posting in a 12pt font, which can only mean one thing in this thread...another BALLOT UPDATE!
Our next three lists come from janinho , alexcuse , and Walking Contradiction . janinho 's list actually shook things up the hardest out of any list so far. How so?
At the top:
- Not only did janinho 's list lead to a brand new #1, his list briefly changed the entire top 3! The #1 after his list is still the runaway #1, ahead of #2 by 23 points.
- The four songs that have been in the top 10 since the beginning stay in the top 10...but janinho 's list briefly knocked one of the three top 5 constants out of the top 5 (although it has since returned).
- Every song in the top 20 now has at least one top 10 ranking (the highest song to not have a top 10 is at #21).
- 15 songs have at least 700 points.
At the bottom:
- janinho 's list caused two songs that were in the bottom 10 since the beginning (one of which was in the bottom 5 from the beginning) to entirely exit the bottom 10.
- The #100 has not changed since dm2081's list - it is currently 17 points behind #99. The same two songs have occupied the #98 and #99 slots since the last Ballot Update, but they keep switching between each other (they're currently 5 points apart). After that, #97 is 33 points ahead of #98, and #96 is 34 points ahead of #97.
- #90 is currently the lowest song to not have a bottom 10 rank.
- #100 is currently the only song to have less than 100 points. It also currently has the lowest standard deviation.
And of course, no ballot update is complete without mentioning ties! The alarm is blaring too, because we have a tie in the top 10! We currently have ties at #10, #12, #26, #33, #55 (a three-way tie), #81...and the bottom 10 also contains a tie at #93!

I haven't started my list yet. Probably won't for a few more days, but just be aware that "Handlebars" will likely be in my Top 10 or 15. I love uniqueness in music and you can't get much more unique that in that tune. Lyrically, I think it's awesome and love the uprising energy as the song goes on. I don't care that much for Flobots other music, but this one to me is a gem.

Submitted! Honestly, I really like every song in my top 50 (and a little bit in to the lower 50). I can already tell my number 7 is gonna go out early, but it was a first listen that I dug a lot. I didn't expect my number one to be my number one (it was a close battle between pretty much my whole top 10-20), but I'm hoping it will finish strongly. Definitely one of this artist's bests.

I've listened to a little over half of the songs now. I'll likely complete it over the weekend.

I’ve heard the entire playlist roughly 3 times now but I haven’t started compiling my list. I might start on Thursday or something but I was actually pleasantly suprised by quite a few of these songs (Didn’t think I’d ever like a Hinder song).
