I’ve heard the entire playlist roughly 3 times now but I haven’t started compiling my list. I might start on Thursday or something but I was actually pleasantly suprised by quite a few of these songs (Didn’t think I’d ever like a Hinder song). I'll give you a cookie if you put it in your top 10. ;)

I'll give you a cookie if you put it in your top 10. That's looks more like what my heart will look like when "Use Me" makes its appearance

I'm like halfway through the list but let me just say how Shadowplay might be one of the best first listens I've ever heard in an alt/active rankdown and one of the best Killers songs I've ever heard.

"Ricochet!" and "Ghost Town" were with a different female singer and with a different vibe, really.

it's a shame Puscifer never charted again, considering they got so much better over time.

At least based on the singles, I much prefer Shiny Toy Guns' debut era over their second one. I wouldn't know about any albums after that.

I've received three more lists...so it's time for another Ballot Update! Our next three lists come from three posters that have spent varying amounts of time on Pulse - we have newcomer @humanshazam, veteran rowellfarm490, and long-time poster (but not as long as rowell) Lordef†ones! What has changed with their lists? At the top...- The margin between #1 and #2 continues to increase. Right now, it's at 43 points.
- Again, our four top 10 constants stay up there...but a former top 5 constant fell down to #6 with Lordef†ones's list!
- With rowellfarm490's list, our #1 became the first song to reach 1000 points. Six more songs have reached that mark with Lordef†ones's list.
- #19 is the highest song to not have a top 10 rank.
At the bottom...
- #99 and #100 are a bit closer to each other than they were in the last Update - 8 points separate them. After that, #98 is 26 points ahead of #99.
- Our #100 has not yet cracked 100 points...but it is guaranteed to reach that mark with the next list, as it currently has 99 points. It still holds the lowest standard deviation.
- But otherwise, the bottom 10 has been very stagnant with these last three lists - the only songs to even change their positions were #93 and #94 switching at one point.
And as always, it's time for Pulse's Favorite Part of the Ballot Update...ties! We currently have ties at #16, #34, #46, #56, #64, #73, #76, and #78!
(I will be tagging anyone who hasn't submitted yet at midnight ET, as tomorrow marks only one week until the deadline.)

(you do know that it's not their song, right) It's a Joy Division cover. Brandon does an amazing job with the vocals. I better see this one in everyone's top 20. Here is the original. It actually has even more punch.

Since this rankdown was opened I had a test every like 2-3 days, and that tests period is going to end on December 12th, so I won't be able to send this before the 8th :/ I know you are not supposed to give extensions, but will a 2 days extension be possible? I'll have time on the weekend to compile a list if you would extend.

Sorry to double post, but I just realized Let It Die is the #1 song of the year. Am I the only one really surprised by that?
Don't get me wrong, I actually really like the song and am happy to see it get the nod, but it feels like such a non event of a single. I never heard it while out and about whereas I heard The Pretender and Long Road to Ruin multiple times, and it didn't even get a video. I honestly thought LRTR was the second single and LID was the final single from the era (speaking of which, did the album get a fourth single?)

Let It Die actually was the final single for Echoes, Patience, Silence And Grace. The first and second were The Pretender And LRTR respectively. The third single (Cheer Up Boys) was never released to radio. And then they released Let It Die to radio after LRTR was in the way out. But I do agree with you that I felt like Long Road To Ruin And The Pretender (especially the latter) were much bigger than Let It Die. I still hear The Pretender on the radio all the time it’s effectively a modern rock classic.

I have a 20% of the list ranked, this is a good start. I'll be sending my ranking soon. I have three contenders to my #1 and one to my #100. Which version of "I Kissed A Girl" are we ranking? The pop or the rock version? lol

I never hear LRTR on the radio anymore. Maybe The Pretender was bigger in 2007?

I never hear LRTR on the radio anymore. Maybe The Pretender was bigger in 2007?That's an understatement. Until "Madness" broke its record, "The Pretender" was the longest-running #1 in the history of the Alt format, and all of its #1 weeks were in 2007. "Long Road to Ruin" was a near-two month long #1, and it didn't even get half the weeks at #1 that "The Pretender" had.

I've gotten three more lists, so it's time for our fifth Ballot Update!
Our next three submitters are Albie , newcomer @carseatlegrest ...and Doc Indie Party Rock ! All of these lists shook things up a bit, but especially Doc Indie Party Rock 's, as always. What has changed?
At the top...
- Our #1 is still the #1 by a continuously increasing margin - 75 points ahead of #2 right now. #2-#4 are within 20 points of each other, and are the only songs that are within 100 points of #1.
- The four top 10 constants are still in the top 10...but only one song has stayed in the top 5 for the entire rankdown process.
- 29 songs have over 1000 points right now.
- #13 is the highest song to not have any top 10 ranks.
At the bottom... - For the first time in eight lists (since dm2081's list), Albie 's list changed the #100 (to a song that had not been #100 before)! It's stayed there with the next two lists, and it's currently behind #98 and #99 (which are tied) by 13 points.
- Six songs have spent the entire rankdown process in the bottom 10. Only one of those has spent the entire rankdown process in the bottom 5.
As always, let's end the Ballot Update with Pulse's favorite part of the Balllot Update - ties! We currently have ties at #11, #15 (three-way), #37, #48, #64, and as mentioned above, #98.

I'll be shocked if my #100 even survives the bottom 5.
