How do you know you're on the priority line? I'm just asking. I don't think this is as transparent as one would like to think. On the left sidebar of the ticket portal it says "Your Current Position" and then there's a bar below it. I'm currently in the green, close to the end that says "priority." I get that, but where do you fall in line? That's not all that transparent. You might have done enough to get priority status, but you could be in the bottom 10%. That's what I don't get about this. And for the people who bought multiple copies, does that mean they are better off than you or are you all on the same level, if everyone is that's not fair at all. I thought there was a point system, I didn't do it so I don't know.

I thought there was a point system, I didn't do it so I don't know. This isn’t the first time us Taylor stans bought multiple copies of her album. We’ve been doing it for every album she’s released. With or without the boost, we’re gonna buy shitloads of her album. Calm down.

I don't think the "multiple copies" thing has anything to do with this. Taylor sold 1.2 million because she's Taylor f***ing Swift and has an absolutely massive fan base. She's dropping harder that normal because she has no current hit and the album has a significantly milder reception than any of her previous releases. Perhaps the release to streaming platforms will steady it on the Billboard 200 (new year? when is that happening?) but I don't see this album holding up in the long run the way her other albums have. All that said, she'll probably sell about 3-3.5 million, which is HUGE.

ANOTHER #1 WEEK FOR TAY, TIM & FAITH SCORE TOP BOW As it’s a holiday week, we present a Top 20 based on available info. Expect a larger-than-usual margin of error. As well as a larger-than-usual tumbler of hooch. But we note that Taylor Swift will enjoy a second week at #1, and the week’s top debut will come from Tim McGraw & Faith Hill. Meanwhile, with the countdown to Christmas in effect, the vocal valedictorians of Pentatonix fly into the Top 5. We'll have a traditionally updated chart for you next week. If Garth Brooks is not a debut, how many copies were sold for his Anthology during the first week? Thanks.

251k is very good for Taylor. She'll get a third week as well if Eminem doesn't release in the middle of the tracking week. Then the week after there'll be Post Malone, Chris Stapleton and U2 (and Miguel but that's a bit of stretch).

Doesn't the help with ticket sales end now, well it will after the 28th when her tour is announced. That was a huge drop, her biggest drop. And fans are saying Speak Now didn't have a hit, but she still had country radio - she doesn't anymore bc that's what she chose. Speak Now had less of a drop than this. And she's trying ticket bundling in a different way. That's why I don't think it's fair. Fair for fans. How is everyone on a fair playing field? A poster here said he's priority yet only bought 1 album, so how does that rank him as priority with the stand who bought 13? It's not transparent. I can't wait to see how this works out.

^Right! HITS will count it, but will Nielsen/Billboard???
Billboard does not chart dvd/cd combos. But they will chart cd/dvd combos.
Adele's Live At Albert Hall sold 1 million copies, but did not chart on the Billboard 200 because it was marketed as a dvd/cd combo.

Garth Brooks' The Ultimate Hits charted and that was a two CD/DVD combo.

Garth Anthology is being marketed as a book, that just happens to have embedded music. Not the first of its kind but probably the biggest
The answer to the question of will it chart, have books with an accompanying CD charted before? Not that I can think of but then again, the books in question probably didn't sell enough copies. This one is.

If we know for sure that this book will chart as a music product, then perhaps what you said is possible.

My guess is we will all have to wait a day or so but the question being asked is "Will Billboard put books on their music chart?" They may since 5 CD's are inside the cover. If they do not, it is because this is being marketed as a book. I have no doubt it will be listed on a variety of other charts

This album was always bound to drop more harshly than her previous – she has no current hit to sustain it right now. Saying she would have sold 800k without the boost program as if it's a fact is a reach. She didn’t have a hit with Speak Now either, but it only had a 69% drop. I’m aware of the album sales drop since 2010, but I think based on the consistensy of her previous album sales, at least 200-300k were from the boost program. It could prove to be a lucrative tactic for other artists as well. I could see Gaga fans being crazy enough to do it, for example. Or other artists with big touring power. Ready for it isn’t considered a hit? It is #12 on pop right now.
