"Green Light" would've been in my Top 5 :( "Lost On You" top 20.

Billy Raffoul was probably my favorite discovery! I personally love his voice and that record is stellar! Ugh!
and I LOVE Margaret Glaspy! She would’ve been in my top-10 easily had E&M been on the list!

This update sucked. 85. Love on the Weekend - John Mayersaying this is boring is about, the nicest thing I have to say about this song. 84. Say You Won't Let Go - James ArthurNot half as bad as you all make it seem. 83. Shine - Mondo CozmoStupid song. Next. 82. Jackpot - Nikki LaneThis one a nice Country vibe. I also dug her vocals. 81. One Fine Day - StingThis one was alright. It's always great to see the iconic 80's make combacks. 80. Bones of Saints - Robert PlantWhat? Do you all know who Robert Plant is? This had a rock vibe, so it just missed my top 20. Great chorus. 79. Automatic - Mondo CozmoThis was a pretty good surprise when I heard it. It sounded like discount U2, but better than U2 2017. 78. To Be Without You - Ryan AdamsOk this one sucked, but I better not see anymore Ryan Adams showing up til much much later. 77. Still Breathing - Green DayGreen Day out before The Lumioneers garbage. It's the end of the world. > 76. Help Me Mama - ZZ WardThis one is great. I sense a serious hate for female vocals here? 75. I Can't Stop Thinking About You - StingAnother great one. This rankdown is headed for the crapper. 74. Halfway There - Sheryl CrowThe hatred for female vocals is harsh here. I don't usually chart AAA songs, but if I did, this would go top 10. 73. Come - JainThe female purge is real here. 8D 72. Classic Masher - PixiesNot even the Pixies are safe on Pulse. 71. Baby I'm Broken - The Record CompanyAnother nice surprise. this one has Fierce harmonica action.

Extras:
Ain't Got It Like That - Earl St. Clair f/PJ This wasn't so terrible. It has soul.
The Sky Is a Neighborhood - Foo Fighters Great song. This one didn't really fit the AAA vibe, but I would have ranked it high nonetheless.
My Only True Friend - Gregg Allman Good classic rock vibe. I'll take it over a lot of folky crap on here.
In My Arms - Grizfolk f/Jamie N Commons I don't recall this, but I didn't like at all. Awful percussion sounds kill these songs for me.
In a Black Out - Hamilton Leithauser + Rostam Good distinct vocals go a long way. The flamenco like guitarworks are also good. It loses the folk vibe.
Face Like Thunder - The Japanese House A wonderful song. If I charted AAA songs, this one would have ended up very high. Beautiful vocal tones.
In the Blood - John Mayer I don't like John Mayer. 'nuff said.
Canyon - Joseph Something about female vocals makes me like these songs a lot more than I should.
Take It All Back - Judah & the Lion One of the worst songs in the history of radio.
River - Leon Bridges This man has some amazing vocals. He should be taking the music industry by storm.

70. Time's Always Leaving - Maybe I should have ranked this higher, this was pretty good. 69. My Mind is for Sale - Great anti-Trump lyrics, but it's just a standard Jack Johnson song. Landed about where it should be. 68. Human - Pretty shocked this is out this early, considering the results of the worst songs rankdown. Again, this is what X Ambassadors sound like if they're actually good. 67. SOS (Overboard) - Sorry, this isn't great. The vocals are pretty good, but the song's pretty boring besides that. It's only okay. At least it's not "White Flag" 66. Back Against the Wall - This was robbed. The lyrics and melody are great. 65. Only the Wild Ones - Another one that lands in 'good, not great' territory. Landed about where it should be. 64. Angela - The Lumineers are better in their current era than their debut era. A bit surprised this is out this early. 63. True Sadness - Damn, I really liked this. The lyrics are uplifting and I like the fiddle at the end. 62. Roll with the Punches - Never heard Dawes this electric-guitar oriented before. This was another pretty good one, but it gets lost in the pack of great songs. 61. Jumpstarting - I'm actually surprised it made it this far, I thought this would end up in the bottom 20. I underranked this a little bit, but it should've been a bit lower. (like, say #70) 60. Green Light - Another one I thought would last longer, but I ain't complaining. This is still overrated. 59. Lost on You - Sorry, this is only okay as well. The vocals in the chorus are ear-grating. 58. City of Angels - No surprise this had a low standard deviation. I really like these guys, but prefer their older singles. 57. Shine on Me - Pleasantly surprised this is out before "Stand by My Girl". This was pretty repetitive, but has a good riff. 56. Driver - Basically what happens if James Bay does an indie rock song. Deserved a bit better.
Extras: Painting (Masterpiece) - This one burnt on me, but it's still pretty good. Liked the guitar on this one. For What It's Worth - Both Gallagher brothers' singles deserved better on radio. No Witness - Why did Gwen Stefani chart twice again? Find Yourself - Man, this took forever to leave the charts. This one's fine, but nothing special. A bit surprised Willie Nelson's son is getting so much attention, though. Ain't Nothin' Wrong with That - Another one that's good, not great. Sorry Marcus King Band stans! Emotions and Math - This was great, as was "You & I". Cocoon - This was mediocre. You - Another meh song. Devil's Teeth - Another good, but not great song.

LOL! Is there even any more female sung songs left here?
70. Time's Always Leaving - The Lone Bellow Very uptempo. Better than most song still in the running.
69. My Mind is for Sale - Jack Johnson More or less where it belongs I guess. 91x plays a lot of Jack Johnson.
68. Human - Rag'n'Bone Man I never liked this song. the music is horrid.
67. SOS (Overboard) - Joseph I probably have more female sung songs in my top 50 than anyone else?
66. Back Against the Wall - Son Volt I can't believe I got a P-P-P-PERFECT Ranking???? Anyway, pretty boring but slightly better than other songs here.
65. Only the Wild Ones - Dispatch This "folky" stuff is hard to sit through all the way. Glad it's finally out.
64. Angela - The Lumineers FUCK YEAH. I really hate this band and the way their songs leave me in a semi comatose state.
63. True Sadness - The Avett Brothers This wasn't so terrible, but I don't care for the guy's vocals.
62. Roll With the Punches - Dawes I kinda dug this. Sounds like it could have been a hit in 1981, when bands like Exile and other soft country rock bands were hitting big.
61. Jumpstarting - Deer Tick This had guitar but sounded like a silly little song. That stupid MV didn't help either.
60. Green Light - Lorde I don't think this fit AAA, and I really never cared for this Lorde song, so....
59. Lost on You - LP Distinct vocals, but I just don't like this song.
58. City of Angels - The Head & the Heart I didn't like that other stupid song of there's but this had some uptempo vibes. Reminded a bit of Nada Surf during the 2000s
57. Shine on Me - Dan Auerbach I admit this one had a bit of a silly vibe, but it also gave me Beatles vibes.
56. Driver - Billy Raffoul Damn! this was one of my favorite discoveries here. If I did a AAA chart this one would have been a #1 song.

First of all, I've decided to add something that was present in the other two rankdowns for this year but absent from this one's until now - past rankdown performances for each artist revealed. I've added them to every reveal so far, and I'll continue including them for the rest of the rankdown. Unless I manage to oversleep again, reveals for #55-41 will begin at noon EST. Here's a few things you can expect in this set: - It's the big one! The highest standard deviation of the entire rankdown will be revealed in this set!
- The 4th highest standard deviation will also show up!
- A total of 33 top 10 ranks are lost here. Three of those are #1s.
- Three artists with multiple songs clear out here.
- Three of our six remaining #100s are lost.

More Extras:
Painting (Masterpiece) - Lewis del Mar No where as awful as his debut song, but still not for me.
For What It's Worth - Liam Gallagher This Gallagher is so much cooler than the other one. I miss Beady Eye too. I love the vibe the guitars create in this song. Another top 10 song on my "fantasy" AAA chart.
No Witness - LP Female vocals that tune me out. Call the presses.
Find Yourself - Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real Nice 70's vibe on this one.
Ain't Nothin' Wrong With That - Marcus King Band More 70's vibe. This is a Fantastic union of Organs, Horns and Guitars working in perfect harmony.
Emotions & Math - Margaret Glaspy back with me and my love of this female vocals. The guitars add a 90's vibe to this one. Cocoon - Milky Chance Nowhere as awful as his debut hit. The chorus has grown on me through these little preview,s whenever it shows up here, on these rankdowns.
You - Marcus King Band Morgan Saint LOL! Marcus King went through one hell of a makeover here. This song and it's fingersnapping can GTFO!
Devil's Teeth - Marcus King Band This is more like it. Kinda confused between this and the Marcus King of "Ain't Nothin' Wrong With That". Didn't know they had female vocals too, but this song is fucking awsome!!

69. Jack Johnson - My Mind Is for Sale [#39]: I didn't really like the 2 songs by him that were in the Alt rankdowns but I thought this one was pretty cool. Loved its lyrics! 68. Rag'n'Bone Man - Human [#37]: I don't get the hate for this song. I'll admit, I've gotten a bit tired of it due to overplay. It's still a solid song though. 66. Son Volt - Back Against the Wall [#90]: What sunk this song for me is that it just didn't stand out and was kinda boring. It's not that bad though and I probably should have ranked it higher. 64. The Lumineers - Angela [#33]: My favorite of the singles from Cleopatra. Disappointed to see it out so soon. 63. The Avett Brothers - True Sadness [#34]: I really liked this one. I am feeling true sadness after this reveal. 62. Dawes - Roll with the Punches [#23]: Dammit! I loved this song. One of my favorite finds from this rankdown. Not that it would have made much of a difference, but I wish I would have ranked this higher to push it further along. 60. Lorde - Green Light [#92]: My least favorite Lorde single to date. I'm glad it's out before the top 50. 59. LP - Lost on You [#31]: Damn, this has been one rough set of reveals. Another really cool song that deserved better. 58. The Head and the Heart - City of Angels [#36]: I liked this song more than "All We Ever Knew" and "Rhythm & Blues". Ugh :/

Our first reveal of the day already starts off big. We have three bottom 20s here, and one's not just a bottom 10 - it's a bottom 5. Shockingly, this was only the 31st highest SD - and I say shockingly because we have five top 20 rankings, three of which are top 10. More importantly...of the three top 10 rankings, one's a #2...and for the first time in this rankdown, not just one, but two people will lose a #1.
