Okay girls we are in a weirdo stage of not RSVP and nothing substantive. I'm lacking motivation because this game is so boring y'all hoes including myself are f**king boring. I need us including myself to bring our A game soon cause nobody is giving it to me the way I want it so far. I feel like a fat girl looking for a cookie but running around finding crumbs. No no no. If you don't think anything out there is substantive then come up with something! Posting to say that nobody is contributing anything while at the same time not offering anything yourself is entirely doing it wrong. Also, please nobody give us the whole "it's tough to do on Day 1" shpiel because that is so incredibly tired and overdone.

Vote: Sambalada just because there’s nothing else to go off. I don't like this vote at all, for two reasons. 1) Voting anyone "just because there's nothing else to go off" is never a good reason to lay a vote down. The fact that you DID lay a vote down is good, but giving that as your reason is not. 2) You put your vote on Sam, why? I assume that you wouldn't say that there's nothing else to go off and then lay your vote on yourself. But that leaves: Me, Surf, Cynthia, Coco, Albie, Myloninja, BackwoodsBarbie, and Sam. You specifically picked Sam. Why?

While I was typing up my reply to greentoo just now, I had a thought occur to me. A better way to think of my above quoted post is that on Day 1, even the smallest thing is significant. Anything you can possibly make use of, at least try it? Also, @antigonerising you are now the only one we have not heard from within the past 24 hours. I would think you would have something else to contribute by now?

Vote: greentooReading through his contributions to this game so far, he's kind of flailing. His first post has his initial thoughts on how to approach this game based on its set-up, which doesn't seem so bad in and of itself, but that last line really sticks out IMO: He's defensive in his first post in this game. Why? His second post is merely to state that he doesn't find anyone scummy yet except for BackwoodsBarbie - right after Barbie voted for him, though he did say his scum vibe was because Barbie came right after him. Surf then asked if there's any other reason that greentoo was singling out Barbie. As of this typing, greentoo has not answered that question. Sam then replied to greentoo's second post (FTR Sam, I think you were reading too much into it LOL), to which greentoo replied here, re-stating an earlier stance that he says it's easy for Mafia to hide in this set-up. Sam then votes greentoo; greentoo then votes him back and says "there's nothing else to go off". (Well...maybe greentoo voted him back. @mod: Are you counting greentoo's vote for Sam even though it's technically not formatted correctly or does the bad format make the vote not valid?) He was defensive straight out of the gate, found Barbie suspicious right after she voted him, and now is voting Sam right after Sam did the same thing (maybe*). Oh, and he missed a question from Surf. We'll see if he answers mine on this page. By the way, my vote puts greentoo at L-2. Those who've played Mafia before our recent revival should remember what that means, but for those who don't: L-2 means greentoo is 2 votes away from being lynched. At this stage, we should assess this voting wagon without being too quick to commit to it. A refusal to commit to greentoo-wagon would necessitate consideration of who else we might find scummy or else otherwise acceptable as a possible lynch.

I will say that I don't feel the greatest about putting greentoo at L-2; as I was typing that post with my vote it did occur to me that a driving motivation behind my vote was his oddly defensive behavior - and now that I'm putting him at L-2, I'm essentially forcing him to defend himself. But, what also drove me to move forward with it is the fact that our Day 1 is a little past half-over by now. I don't want us waiting to assess an L-2 voting wagon at a point where we would have too few hours left and we're scrambling to assemble votes at all. I want it to happen now, while we have ample time to decide that either this is the way to go or that it's not. That also means that I'm not iron-clad committed to greentoo-wagon; I'm open to moving my vote. The last thing I'll bring up before I call it a night here is that several of us - Mylo13 💜 Albie @pma2015 @antigonerising surfy - still have RVS votes out there. I guess I'll also tag Sambalada b/c even though I don't think your vote is RVS I'm not 100% sure.

Yeah I am currently thinking of voting greentoo, but I didn't want to take that course of action until he had responded to the question I had prompted earlier. greentoo - why do you only find people who vote for you scum/sus? I haven't changed my vote because of the discussion - greentoo has been the only to stick out in my eyes so far, but has not yet responded to my questions. Thoughts will follow after a response!

I just finished my third read through, and I still feel unsure about wha to do. I do have something I caught on the third read: Am I the only one that kind of sees a link between Sam and greentoo? IDK, posts like this: No one really comes across as scum to me yet except maybe Backwoods Barbie. The way they just came straight onto me looking for someone to point to was a bit weird. Everyone has raised good ideas about the game so far. Is it a shade directed to me or am I reading too much to it? Anyway, this setup is so much more complicated than the regular one. The tracker, whoever it is, needs to think the way a mafia would. They have to position themselves in a mafia point-of-view to get any useful infos at all. Okay, and what, NO DOCTORS?!? Rub me the wrong way. I just don't imagine Sam genuinely thinking that greentoo was trying to shade him, and it doesn't help that Sam then posted this: Oops didn't realize I haven't voted. Vote: greentoo just to get him to vote too. I feel like this is kind of forced. I get the intention, as everyone voting is an easy way to judge players intentions and speculate their allegiance, but greentoo was almost certain to do so anyway. If we do lynch greentoo (Who I'm not entirely suspicious of, but is certainly not a player I'd actively root against a lynch), and he's mafia I'd definitely look at Sam. And then greentoo of course responded, voting him back and claiming that there's *Nothing else to go on*, which is basically an RVS vote. The only difference it comes after Sams vote, which somewhat makes it OMGUS. Also, the phrase *Nothing else to go on* implies Sam is something to go on, despite calling backwoods slightly scummy, and not mentioning Sam before then. This just does not make sense. He never clarifies if he's changed his mind on Backwoods IIRC, and yet he and Sam both vote for each other almost directly after each other? For now I'll Vote: Sambalada
Because greentoo is far too close to lynch, but if needed I'll happily through a vote his way.

Mylo13 💜: the reason why I see greentoo's post as a shade is because he said that everyone has raised good points so far (except for Barbie), when I haven't even spoken at all. That was such a weird reason to vote for Barbie.

I literally just chose a random person to vote for since it won’t make a difference. It doesn’t look like there’ll be a lynch today.

I literally just chose a random person to vote for since it won’t make a difference. It doesn’t look like there’ll be a lynch today. It would serve you best to answer the questions asked of you and not just pop in with the above sort of blanket statement. Its just part of playing the game.
Also, what an odd statement. Why do you think there won't be a lynch today? We have nearly 36 hours before the deadline and you are already at L-2. I'm confused here.
So, thank you Libra for adding some weight to the discussion. Same to you mylo.
Also, though its an RVS vote, I wanted to point out that my vote is tallied incorrectly. I had placed a vote on Cynthia but shortly after I changed it to Coco.
Given Libra’s argument, I would be inclined to vote for Greentoo as well if it came down to it. However, he is a newer player and his play style is likely attributed to that. Or not, I suppose. Walker has played in a number of games and he still doesn’t play any differently. But I’d give Greentoo the benefit of the doubt in this case. That’s neither here nor there though until we see him in future games. What I’m getting at is if I’m looking at things from the confused/newbie perspective as far as Greentoo’s actions, they fall in line. Does that mean we lynch him? I don’t know.
Question for everyone then: at this point in time, what players do you find most expendable? And what players do you find least expendable? Everyone please answer. It may be early in the game but regardless, everyone must have formed some sort of early opinion of everyone else. Now is the time to get that out there. At the very least it gives us something to look back on for D2 and on.
My list from most to least expendable admittedly based on not much but 3 pages worth of some useful chatter:
1. Sam – he hasn’t added much of substance. Again, not too many of us have but there’s little and then there’s less. pulsemusic.proboards.com/post/6420419 He could be still legit stuck in a state of confusion stemming from set-up or he could be mafia laying low. No way of knowing at the moment but given what we do know, we currently wouldn’t be missing too much without him.
2. Greentoo – pretty much spoke on him above, but basically I am getting a newbie vibe and willing to give him a little more slack. Though I’m not too sure that he has anymore play experience than does Sam but his posts come off as more clueless than Sam’s do. Same principle applies that he could be mafia laying low so #1/#2 could be interchangeable depending on how the rest of the day plays out.
3. Cynthia – obviously a great player but its necessary to be around in order to show that. As Libra stated, she hasn’t posted in over 24 hours and, in fact, its nearing 48 hours since she last posted. Inactivity is one of, if not the, least helpful things in this game. Where are you girl?
4. Barbie – Started off strong by questioning and analyzing the set up but she’s been missing for a day and a half now so, see above.
5. Coco – While she has been around, she’s not really contributed anything of substance. I know she tends to sniff things out, put in her two cents and leave the rest to us or to really chase (usually accurately) a lead once someone else has made some connections but none of that is happening at the moment. Even though she has been active, there hasn’t been much to go off.
6. Surf – I was going to move him down the list a bit but I haven’t fully gone into his posts and I want to see more before I say more but it seems he’s sort of just following the leader at the moment. But at least he’s here and posting and trying to get it together.
7. Mylo – while his post count isn’t high, the content of his posts have had substance. And he has been involved regularly and not in spurts. He seems to be paying attention as he has laid out his thoughts on the set up rather clearly (erroneously or not) and he has noticed Coco editing a post so he’s at least reading thoroughly which is useful. I also like that he chose a different target (Sam) and not just went with whomever is on the hot seat. He is looking for connections as well so, yeah, his gameplay is currently strong.
8. Libra – discussion and thought leader. Although he was relatively quiet on the first actual day, he’s since come in and offered true analysis despite little content. We’d still be on page 2 were it not for his contributions so there is that. Besides, he’s talking too damn much to be mafia. Never discount him leading us on but with not much to go on for now, he’s safe.
As for myself, I’d include myself right between Barbie and Coco. I’ve been around but haven’t contributed much and this is my first real attempt and putting things together and trying to get everyone else to speak up. Please speak up! If you don't know what else to say then at least try to answer my question.

Oh, right. My vote.
I'll go ahead and Vote: Sam because 1) I want to take off my RVS vote and vote with a little more substance since 2) we do still have well over 24 hours before deadline and 3) this forms two lynch wagons. Its yet another thing that hopefully everyone else can chime in on and we can at least talk pros and cons.
Everyone remember not to take your votes lightly at this point as a lynch will end the day early. Both Sam and Greentoo are now at L2 and I'll be curious to see who moves their vote where or at least what everyone's thoughts are on the current prospects. And the missing Cynthia...and Barbie.

One of the reasons i made the post that i made last night was in hopes of sparking more discussion. The only way i can properly suspect people is to use what they say. This page is much more substantive! However up until this point noone has raised my eyebrows or giving me too to go off.
couple of things that have stuck out Milo random connection so early between green and sam, right after Green has been brought up a couple of times. I dont know what to make of Green because i find his one line and usually straight to the point either a sign of how he is or a sign of not trying to say too much, unclear. I dont want us to jump on bandwagon just yet but monitor.
Libra has been bringing it with the most detail overall, and i tend to see a more productive side from him and to a lesser degree Albie so those are probably the only two i wont be looking at too hard (yet)

Greento – I'm not sure if he is a scum who is trying to hide or just an inexperienced town player. But the fact is that his actions so far haven't been helpful to town at all. His first post was strange (I explained my view on that in post #35). And since then he failed to answer any question in a way that would be helpful or make us understand his point of view easier. I vote for him because I find his opening post weird and I was hoping he would give us some explanation or maybe he would start to participate in this game more after he has a vote on him but he keeps acting weird. And this acting weird thing is actually making me doubt my vote a little because if he is indeed a scum there is also another scum and they can chat and I think that maybe the other scum would tell him to start participating more and this didn't happen. So all the things considered I'm still voting for him but I'm willing to move my vote if some other player give me some evidence that someone else is more likely to be a scum.
Surf - He is the player who is lying low the most. He keeps writing short posts with little/no useful content. So he's staying under the radar for being called out for inactivity but he also don't contribute much to the game. The other thing that makes me a little suspicious of him is his reaction when he thought that there is a vote on him. It was very quick response (I come to this conclusion beacuse he didn't even watch the other votes to see that mod put all the votes to the "wrong people") and who is more worried to have a vote on him than a scum? So If he don't post anything concrete like his opinions and explanations I might also change my vote to him. Sam - Well he didn't do anything particulary scummy but he didn't contribute much either. I'm really having trouble to write anything about his gameplay so far which can either mean he's layz/bussy town player or he is a scum who is trying to lie low. It will be interesting to see his reaction after he sees that he already has 3 votes on him.
Cynthia - She's clearly not the most devoted player in this game. Her analysis of set was useful and I think that she could be very helpful to town if she would pay closer attention to the game. The problem is that she don't. In case she is a scum I think It would be really hard to know that. I'm only on pulse for 7 months and I already know that she write this long posts with a lot of content and her long post in this game was very similar to those posts and i expect that she will keep on writing this long posts every now and then no matter if she is mafia or town (I might be wrong here because I've never played this game with her before but some other players might know if her posting style is different if she is mafia/town).
Coco - She writes a lot but with very little content. But again for my short time on pulse I saw that this is her posting style. So once again I think the situation here is very similar to the one I described in the Cynthia paragraph - If she is a scum she would probably write in the same way as if she is a town and it will be very hard to figure out if she is a scum or not.
Milo - I played the first mafia game on pulse with him and if I remember correctly his gameplay then was pretty similar to this one now. He's trying to contibute to the game with analysis and this is good but I still think that him voting for himself at the beginning and through most of the day 1 and 2 was weird/not usefull/why would you do that?
Albie
Libra
---- I have to go now but I will write my opinion on Libra and Albie when I come back. I orderd players in order from (I'm most likely to vote for -> I'm not going to vote for). Also I'm sorry for all the grammer and spelling mistakes.

[/b] Its way to draw conclusions and i dont want to make assumptions because i think it would deter people being open and playing the way they are playing i was just curious that post happened after a couple of votes and sometimes that could be a distancing thing or it could be harmless. Just threw it out here so we can talk about it that is all. I thinking we are rushing to conclusions alot which is natural this early in the game. I dont like the reasons for green or the reasons for Sam who has contributed as little as a lot of people and i think his english isnt greatest? What has green said that is so scummy? short one liners? i tagged Barbie cause up to the last post she hasnt said much, is that scummy? where is Cynthia? im having a hard time deciding because its not always the one who say the least that are scum, sometimes and often its the ones who say the most. So im at the point of reading through the thread but its hard to digest it, when im working so much so tonight and friday will be dedicated to the game. however my usual M.O is to throw out things, created discussion and read what is said. If anyone expects flimsy dissertations based on nothing from me hun youll be waiting a long ass time. I go off whats infront of me and so far nothing, but its improving today!

I literally just chose a random person to vote for since it won’t make a difference. It doesn’t look like there’ll be a lynch today. This is just wrong. Every vote makes a difference and every vote needs reasoning - classic argumentative structure. So since you're still dodging the question: why did you find Backwoods or Sam? You haven't given reasoning. And if you don't have a reason - then why did you choose Sam out of everyone? Sam already had a vote on him when you made that choice, did you want to jump on a potential wagon early to avoid suspicion/hammering? Was there any reasoning - there had to be something that stuck out about him for him to be made your target. I do write short posts, yes it's true. I've been mostly on mobile in class most of the day, and I truly do apologize for that. I would put me in the weaker part of all the players at this point in the game, but I do hope to improve that! I promise lying under the radar wasn't my intention. And as for the bolded parts, I viewed that post on the way back from class in the bathroom and my name was first, so it prompted a response quickly from me for that reason. I think anyone would have valid concern if they had a vote on them that they didn't remember reading in thread. To answer Albie's question the players I find to be most expendable would be (currently): 1. Cynthia - I say this ONLY because she is the least active and is the only one to be prodded at this point in time. If she posts and it's useful information she will easily be taken off of this list. 2. greentoo - he seems to have this "who cares" vibe in regards to town. It's strange. His very first post includes quotes such as "claiming will be useless and will end up with you being either killed or lynched by default" and "I have to post here so the mods don't think I'm inactive. In his next post right after Backwoods Barbie voted for him, greentoo responds within two hours now saying he suspects BackwoodsBarbie with very little reasoning behind it (which I prodded him on) and again when Sam votes for him - within an hour or two from that post his suspicion suddenly shifts onto Sam there's no reasoning involved there again. And when prodded - another one sentence response... "I chose a random person" but did you? Sam just voted for you. It doesn't appear random. If it was a revenge vote, give that reasoning. RVS votes kinda need to start ending and suspicions are rising - please give us some insight. "It doesn't look like there will be a lynch today" Why did you say this? You were (and still are) at L-2 at the time you posted this. Why are you so sure there will be no lynch today? And just a minute ago he said he could see an Albie and Surf mafia team, which I find weird at this point. Albie never stated I posted something useful - he said that I'm "trying to get it together" which means that I have been asking questions but haven't gone in depth yet. If anything you haven't really posted anything of true reasoning or substance up to this point. I have class across campus in a short while, but I promise I will come back and finish this list tonight (I have a dinner date too, so it could be later, but I wanted to make sure I got my questions to greentoo in before I left!)

Okay i know i said most things were flimsy and i didnt agree throwing random ass votes until we are little bit more sure but that Greentoo post out of nowhere saying albie and Surf being a scum team (hey anything is possible) but what information are you gathering that you can come to a conclusion like that, when i cant even figure who (singular) to vote on yet. That seems fishy to me. I reserve the right to change my mind

but I also want to hear from Cynthia, and just because greentoo does a couple of things that raise eyebrows doesnt mean we jump. Lets all make a promise to post one in length post between now and friday because rn im not comfortable voting until reading everything and hopefully cynthia, sam, greentoo and barb finish her great post. I'll also make a longer post once i have read i detail (no excuses but i keep skimming and not digesting because i have lots of shit to do at work!)

Albie: Of all the players, I have the most suspicion on greentoo. He hasn't made any post that screams scummy but he was acting really weird. All of his reasons to vote for someone and his responds to people's questions put me off.

I can kind of see a Surf and Albie mafia team. The way Albie tried to make it look like Surf has actually posted some meaningful stuff when he actually hasn’t is a bit weird. Just putting it out there but I’m probably wrong so. What's the difference between this and you when you said everyone except Barbie posted meaningful posts earlier? Girl you did exactly what you accused people of doing.

Okay thinking bout it now, can greentoo singling Barbie out in the first place was to distance himself from his (mafia) partner? But then, Barbi didn't try to defend greentoo at all so I don't think it was the case.

crap I almost forgot I was playing again. Let me not make the same mistake I did the last time.
Still just on page two but right now my tentative feelers are:
- Coco seems townish b/c (no shade) she keeps making silly mistakes that scum would be careful to avoid - Sam's play seems consistent with that from the last game, so I'll put him in the townish box for now - albie and Surf seem townish but I don't have concrete answers as to why, just gut instinct based on their posting activity so far - mylo clocking Coco for editing one of her posts is very reminiscent of Kunt when he called out Az for liking posts after he was killed - he's not wrong, but I can't help but wonder what his motivation is for checking someone else for a rule violation really is - greentoo feels off somehow but it might just be that he hasn't said a lot so far. We mistakenly thought he was scum last time due to some communication barriers so I will need to take more time when looking into him - I need to hear more from Barbie, she seemed to make a solid effort to make sense of the tracker/watcher roles but there were parts of her post that were confusing or misleading, maybe or maybe not intentionally - I have no idea how I feel about Libra rn
Breadcrumbing is actually fairly simple; it is literally just making sure to make your town/scum reads known within the thread so that players have something to look back on later. That's something we should all be doing anyway.
For a good, recent example on what breadcrumbing looks like, revisit Az's posts in the last game and note how he made a point to voice his suspicions of gravey on D2, but without roleclaiming. OTOH one thing I think he did a little bit wrong was that he was pretty staunchly in the "Kunt is town" camp and said it enough times that it might have appeared as if he investigated Kunt when he actually didn't. Ultimately his gravey breadcrumbing outweighed this, but if you're a power role be really careful to hedge your bets with people that you think are town, but haven't looked into yet. You don't want to leave any accidental red herrings behind!

oh, and leaving my vote where it is for now as Mylo is my strongest suspicion thus far, but I'm also not opposed to a greentoo lynch.
