This thread is for artists that were very very popular for like a year or 2 or even 3, then suddenly disappeared and fell off the map. What are some examples?
A good example for me is LMFAO, they were very popular starting at end of 2010 to their peak in 2011 and somewhat in 2012, then suddenly faded away.
It looks like the same is happening to Fetty Wap too.
Iyaz is another good example and so is the group Fun.
Any other artists or groups that fit this category?

Fetty Wap was the first artist that came to mind from reading the title.
Chingy had a few hits and then went away it

LMFAO was a group, not a "he."

LMFAO was a group, not a "he." Oops, fixed. I knew that though just was not paying attention when typing. I need to learn to not calling groups a he. I have done it more than once. Just used to saying he and she and not they.

Fetty Wap would probably be the best example. A massive success that charted within only 2 calendar years. Pretty sure all others listed were either not as big, or were around for a longer period of time.
Specifically, Fetty debuted in February of 2015 and disappeared at the end of August 2016. So 19 months total. And by the end of 2016, he was the 5th most prominent Hip-Hop artist of this decade.
This ignores the feature spot on Keke though, of course.

Leona Lewis, at least stateside.
Duffy, Estelle, Fetty Wap.
For all her impact and legacy, Amy Winehouse as well. She was huge in 2006-2007, but after that her career took a backseat to her personal struggles.

Am I the only one who thinks Twenty One Pilots will still be huge? Surprised to see them mentioned here.

Twenty One Pilots makes no sense lol. They just had a huge era and have not released anything yet... there is no proof they are came and went?
I don't think Chingy really qualifies either. Maybe as someone no one really remembers, but he had some chart appearances from 2003 through 2007. What are we considering a come and gone type thing? To me, it would be someone who only charted one, maybe two years and only had a hit(s) from 1 album. Chingy did much more than this.. He appeared in the Hot 100 top 10 in 2003, 2004, and 2006.

Sara Bareilles? Would she count? Unfortunately, I do like her. Miranda Cosgrove also had a couple minor hits in the 2010s before falling off the map (her album also hit the Top 10 and had an EP go Top 40). Though, she stopped releasing material after she was supposedly dropped by her label. Carly Rae Jepsen, another unfortunate loss to the mainstream. How about The Wanted? Sure, there still had big hits in the UK... but not much outside of it, to my knowledge.

Oh! How about Aly & AJ? Had five charting hits on the Hot 100 from late 2005-2008, before falling off the face of the earth.
