I'd give it to Reba. She had a breakthrough year with "Whoever's In New England". Plus, she was Entertainer of the Year that year. However, all of these albums were super strong.

Reba, with ease. The title cut from that album alone is one of her all-time best imo.

Not a dud in these nominees. I am a huge Ronnie Milsap fan, so he deserved the win here. However, 1986 belonged to Randy Travis, so I would have given it to him. He would have repeated in 1987 with Always & Forever.

Reba for sure. The Judds' album is great too, but this was such a breakthrough year and album for Ms. McEntire.
