Scotty just confirmed on his AXS Livestream that this will be his new radio single. This is the song he wrote as his proposal to his fiance Gabi.

I’m sure this’ll be a great decision although I have a real love for “In Between” and think it’ll be a good song for radio (but I’m okay with waiting if it means this new album gets multiple singles).

The acoustic version on the livestream was great! This song could be the Country wedding song of the year! Perfect timing to release in late March/early April then it start making it's way up the top 40 around June. Listen to it at the 8:30 mark on the video here www.facebook.com/axs/videos/1840379515986177/

Hardly anyone will know about it during the peak of wedding season (and usually songs are picked well before then anyway). Maybe next year! This year my guess will be "In Case You Didn't Know," by Brett Young (at least for country songs... "Perfect" by Ed will probably be the big one overall).

Yeah maybe for later year weddings and next year for sure. I was talking Country of course. "Perfect" will be the overall song of the year in all of music probably and win some Grammys. But that's for the Ed thread. lol.

I haven't heard this song yet. But I hope this is not one of those instances where radio really loves another song from the album more than the single pick. It seems like a lot of people like the extra songs that he's released from the upcoming album. If this is a poor single choice, that could be potentially bad for Scotty especially after Five More Minutes & all the momentum. My pick would have been In Between.

I think fellow Triple Tigers labelmate Russell Dickerson will be the guy with the wedding song of the year this year with “Yours.”

Though much better than his earlier work this one doesn't grab me the same way as 5MM. Maybe it's because the engagement isn't the pinnacle in my mind like it is for so many. For me it didn't even really represent the beginning of a wonderful fulfilling relationship the same way meeting her did. With all the over the top engagements these days I even think they set up an inevitable letdown, instead of being a mature decision by two people ready to commit for life.
Yeah, I know that will rub some people the wrong way, but it's just an honest analysis of why I don't think it connects for me.

Other than one other, I am more excited about McCreery's album than any this year. I have loved Five More Minutes for the last two years and the the first three pre-releases were all money in my opinion. Excited to hear this tonight.

Sounds like another hit just by listening to the acoustic version. Could be the wedding song of the summer!

"This Is It" is already available in my part of the world. I still like "Home In My Mind" best among the tracks released so far (hoping it will be a single in the future), but "This Is It" is solid too. It's another deeply personal song for Scotty so I hope it connects again with listeners and does well in the charts!

This is alright. Personally, I think this is too close in tempo to "Five More Minutes" for a follow-up. "Home In My Mind" is a far superior song though, wish we were getting that one next.

Wow, this is incredible. I'm hooked on first listen. I think this is going to be another huge hit for him, because I can see it definitely appealing to the same crowd making Thomas Rhett and Kane Brown such hot sellers right now. This is a well-timed release imo to follow-up on "Five More Minutes." For me everything about the melody and production and Scotty's vocal are totally on-point here.

This is absolutely beautiful, and definitely fits in with what the public is eating up right now. This should smash without a doubt!

This is solid. Really all of the tracks available off the album so far are solid. Just straight up damn country music unlike that “Southern Belle” crap. Glad Scotty was able to be picked up by a label where he can release real country music. Can’t wait to hear the rest of the album.

We should say this now: Scotty McCreery will save country music in 2018 (and beyond).

Country music has never needed "saving", not in the past, not in the future, and not now.

For those who have lived a hard core, brutal working life, sentimental ballads, like this one, may have low appeal.
This ballad, like many of Scotty's songs, is a celebration of people in Scotty's life and so is deeply meaningful to him and serves as an ongoing chronology of his life events ... but the song has no impact on my life, and so is a station changer.
Also, the vocal variations seem contrived and are irritating.

But they are many that probably do relate as evidenced by the #27 iTunes overall position. I think a love song & an engagement song many can relate to & I can understand why it was chosen as a single. I think labels/artists should pick singles that has the ability to relate to more people. This has seemed to have made an impact. Out of the bonus tracks, this has charted the best on iTunes. We will have to see what radio will do.

This fits in line with what the public is eating up & I'm not opposed to love songs, but I find the vocal on this grating
edit: the recorded vocal is much better than the live...which sort of makes me like him less

The hook on this is ok but the verses not so much for me. My overall gut reaction is it sounds amateurishly written. A copy of what’s popular this week on radio but not even as good as Marry Me or Heaven or Aldean’s latest one. He sings every song with the same inflictions in his voice so they all pretty much sound the same to me.

All of these you mentioned sound the same on every song to me as well.
