Jesus, I thought this would flop for waiting too long. I didn't think a second single would flop because he's still a pretty young and fresh artist but these gains are a little surprising. Most people seem to like him. He seems like a very nice kid and is adorable.

I am generally indifferent to his songs (except for maybe There's Nothing Holding Me Back) but I LOVE this one. I might have to remember he exists now LOL.

divasummer A deal would have only been for the first full day of airplay. This is stations responding rapidly. Lumi You should see how quickly 'The Middle' took off if you haven't already. This looks like it could be doing the same thing.

Once or twice a year you may even see a top 15 debut. This only got to #30, which I believe is the lowest deal-boosted debut since Pink from last year.

Checked the remix out today. It's fine, but the original is better. I don't really think this needed a remix as the single version, but it works I guess.

Song credits are so weird now. What makes Zedd a co-lead here but Calvin Harris doesn't even get a proper feature on "Spectrum (Say My Name)"? What makes Dua Lipa a co-lead on "One Kiss" but Rihanna is a feature on "This is What You Came For"?

Can’t say for sure, but I chalk this up to streaming. With all acts involved getting artist billing, it makes it easier to find the song by searching the name of any artist involved. For example, if you search Cardi B on Apple Music right now, you won’t find “Girls Like You” anywhere in the top results. But if you search Bastille, “Happier” is the #1 result.

Maybe but in the end most of the money probably goes to songwriters so I'd guess a songwriting credit is a bigger deal than whether or not you're a feature or a colead.
