This beef feels so dirty. It’s hard to even be entertained like the Meek/Drake thing when people are making fun/dissing serious illnesses. I’ve seen comments saying people are being sensitive and thats how rap beefs were in the 90s but....people also got shot over beefs back then.
I guess these shots were subbed back and forth for awhile but this whole campaign reeks of dirty publicity, from the drug den pic, to Kanye being involved period, to all this, you can tell they wanted to generate as much attention as possible to launch this album which is smart on one hand but dragging 40’s life threatening disease is way too far. I know Drake mentioned his wife but still, keep the focus solely on Drizz (or Cash Money).

You mention family, I'm coming after family. I haven’t even listened to Drake’s diss, what did he say about his wife exactly? Drake shouldn't have mentioned her full name period in a diss towards her man. You know how the internet works with stan behavior and that drove people to her account to troll her. Drake also kicked Kid Cudi while he was already down during his breakdown a couple of years ago so gut punches aren't new to him.

Push was always light when it came to Wayne/Drake/Birdman because he always referred to thier label situation(Cash Money/Young Money/Universal Republic). He said on the Phone Interview with TBC that once he mentioned his finacė, it was fair game for anything. Now that he has gone overboard, Drake has to do the same somehow.

I agree that certain things should be off limits but still, the mention of his wife is more a direct disrespect to PT- he didn’t actually say anything bad or drag the wife personally. Mocking 40 for one of the worse diseases in life is gross. Maybe it would’ve been different if Drake had the disease (still would be a gross thing to attack him on) but to actually be that direct and personal to a 3rd party.... I thought we had evolved in terms of these beefs crossing the line in this day and age, all the popular rap beefs have a limit (Meek/Drake didn’t go this far, JCole/Pump didn’t go this far), the stuff being said is very vicious in this one. Things almost seemed playful with the mock Invoice going around but T took it right back to ‘97 style tactics. The fact that he started the beef to begin with also kills the “you come for family, I come for...” angle. I’m willing to bet most of this is probably a symptom of Kanye’s current sick mind influencing Pusha to promote the project like this. This type of publicity is right up Ye’s alley lately. In all of Pusha's disses he has always kept it between the artists. No family was ever involved until Drake decided to mutter Virginia Williams out of his lips. Same goes for the beef between Meek and Drake. Family was never brought into it which is why it never got nasty, it just got embarrassing on Meek's behalf. If Pusha wanted to be real nasty he could pull a 50 Cent and take videos of Sandi and her residence while subliminally threatening violence. Now that is going overboard. As for the J. Cole and Pump situation that was a clear misunderstanding and there was no malicious intent in what Jermaine was saying. He was just trying to educate him about the pitfalls of being a rapper at a young age since he was able to avoid them.

Lenard brought up a good point. Pusha did ruin Drake’s whole album roll out. He now has to address all of this. Watching him try and talk his way out of doing black face is going to be interesting...

I had seen your other reply after I made this post and deleted it because I completely forgot about how Aubrey dogged Cudi during his low period. The MS thing is still a harsh drag for 40 but alas...

Drake is definitely going to have to address the blackface photoshoot but this isn't going to hurt him in the long run. This beef is only within the Hip-Hop and black communities but Sarah's maple bar back ass is still going to stream and/or download Scorpion for the bops. Pusha just wants to stain this man's character and it's working.

Drake will be fine. Remember when Nas “ended” Jay? Remember when Remy “ended” Nicki. Commercially, Drake will be fine.
Also, any idiot who saw the whole Drake photoset from the photo shoot can infer the meaning and intention.

This album really flows through. Maybe the 7 track was a good idea.

This album really flows through. Maybe the 7 track was a good idea. It really does. It may be the best rap album I've heard since Kanye's BDTF. Every song just HITS. It's definitely Kanye's best work in years.

As much as I hate that album cover which was not his fault but despicable anyways. Pusha drops bars and spits realness on beefs.

Great opening numbers and critical acclaim. So happy for him! I’ve felt for years that he was one of the most underrated rappers of his peer group so it’s good seeing him get his due now.
I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve played this album. SO.DAMN.GOOD.

I listened DAYTONA all the way through many times and it has waaaayyyy too many samples. Only problem with the album.
