Love the video.
I was encouraged by the instrumentation in the beginning, but soon after the melody completely fell apart for me. Not a song I'll be listening to but the video tells a beautiful story.

Remember: you can't spell "Eli Young Band" without "bland".

Ugh, I hope this is the only song that Huff is producing for EYB. I liked the song on first listen, but it seemed to lacked that distinctively EYB sound - and now I know why. Valory's treatment of these guys is confounding. They released their last album without pushing anything to radio, which seemed to indicate they were fulfilling a contract prior to exiting the label. But that hasn't happened and now they're planning a new album with this single on it (not that I expect a real radio push for this one either). I don't get it, but I'm down with whatever gets a new EYB album on the shelves.

Debuts at #56 on BB a week before it's impact date.

I love Eli Young Band but "Love Ain't" is a dud for me. I tried hard to like this too.

A nice six spot jump up the Billboard Country Airplay chart moving from #49 to #43 this week. If this can hit the Top 40 (I sure think it can) in the coming weeks, it'll be their first Top 40 since their 2015 release "Turn It On".

I'm still mourning Saltwater Gospel, which looked like it was Top 40 bound, but missed it.
Fingers crossed.
I don't know what killed their momentum. Dirt or the follow up single that did nothing.

I think the blatant trend chasing of "Turn It On" killed any momentum they had. I think radio was kind of turned off by that song and didn't sound anything like Eli Young Band.

I agree with this, though radio clearly had cooled on them heading into that release. Dust barely cracked the top 20, despite being quite catchy and coming on the heels of a #1. I just think they panicked too soon. There were potential hits left to be had on 10,000 Towns (the title track for starters), and having them change their sound was just so, so dumb. I assumed they were getting dropped after nothing from Fingerprints was pushed to radio, but I'm thrilled to see this get an actual release and off to a decent start. I'm not expecting miracles here, I just hope they can get another album released.

I find it odd that nothing from Fingerprints was pushed as that album was fairly radio friendly.
I'm liking this one quite a bit and I'm happy to see them closing in on top 40 already. I'll be happy if they can score another hit or two!

This is hands down their best single since... "Even If It Breaks Your Heart" ("Drunk Last Night" was alright, but not as good as their normal output). I hope this can get them in radio's good graces again because I like them a lot

I hope this can get them in radio's good graces again because I like them a lot Considering “Skin & Bones” and “Never Land” never made it to terrestrial radio, I agree with this. I think “Love Ain’t” is a great song. The production gets heavy-handed during the chorus (shocker for Nashville these days...), but the melody and lyrics are where this one shines.

I really like this one. I LOVE the Jet Black & Jealous album, in fact it is one of my favorite country albums by any artist. I do hope they can score another hit with this, and I think they probably will.

17 adds this week for “Love Ain’t”, with Cumulus among the stations. EYB also picked up 12 spots to #45 on Mediabase this week, matching its Billboard chart position.
This is most certainly going to be their biggest hit since “Dust.”

Officially a Top 40 hit for the Eli Young Band as "Love Ain't" moves from 42 to 40 this week on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart.

23 weeks on Billboard and this is at #34 despite the fact that it lost its bullet, don't worry this will rebullet this week. Not bad at all so far pace wise. I definitely think this song will at least have a Top 30 finish and hopefully this song can get an album out in 2019.

Why are these guys so vanilla? Mike Eli's voice is yawn-inducingly plain and I have literally never felt that they were a "band". There is literally no harmony or musical interplay whatsoever in their work.

At least they got rid of Liddell and the god-awful sound engineers he insists on.

I myself don't even like the Eli Young Band, but your constant recycled complaint that his voice is bland and that they don't actually feel like a real band is tired. We get it.

I'm so glad that this hit the Top 30 and is doing well for them. This kind of thing gives me a glimmer of hope for country radio. A good song that sounds like a hit is actually making a dent in the chart despite it being four years since Eli Young Band's last Top 20 hit and almost five years since their last number one.

Weird that a new song called Where Were You was released last Friday but there are no promotions for this.

I am glad to see Eli Young is back with a Top 25 hit. Even Though It Breaks Your Heart is one of my favorites from the past decade.
This song is okay, thematically it is a rip-off of Josh Turner "What It Aint" - which did it way better IMO.
EYB really got the shaft w/ Saltwater Gospel which I thought was incredible. It started off strong, got close to the Top 40 and then plummeted unexpectedly.

This song is okay, thematically it is a rip-off of Josh Turner "What It Aint" - which did it way better IMO. I agree. "What It Ain't" had an early 90s lightheartedness to it at a time when that wasn't really "in". This feels like a diet version of that song lyrically. This song doesn't do much for me, just like most of EYB's material. It sounds like they're trying to be Old Dominion but lack the good hooks. There is literally zero harmony on this, so just like most of their other songs it sounds like a Mike Eli solo single. To be fair, the production is a lot less earsplittingly loud and cluttered (it says a lot when switching to Huff is an improvement in the loudness-war department!), and the melody is pretty good. But I still find Mike Eli's voice unappealing, and I still remained unconvinced that the other three guys were even in the studio on this one at all. For the record, I think all four singles off Jet Black & Jealous were fantastic, but other than "Even If It Breaks Your Heart" and "Dust", they haven't come close to the quality of their first four.
