"Rumor" sees another great week on Mediabase just before the pure Christmas slog as "Rumor" gains 4 spots to #32. So just ouside the Top 30.
If Lee Brice wasn't with Curb, I think he would be a solid A-lister. As it is, he is doing decent. But, unfortunately having "That Don't Sound Like You", "A Little More Love", and "Boy" crawl up the chart and take forever has halted so much momentum. Honestly if this song wasn't selling as well as it currently is (#87 all genre) I am not confident this would have even made the Top 40.

So far Lee’s climb up the chart with “Rumor” has been slow and steady, but I’m hoping that it starts to rise faster as it goes through the 20s.
I see a parallel between this and Darius Rucker’s “For the First Time” in terms of its chart run and his overall momentum; both songs followed singles that took for. ever. to climb the charts (though “If I Told You” was a #1 hit), therefore did not get support from radio early on (e.g. taking a month to only chart) and crawled through the lower portions of the chart once they did chart. Much like FTFT, “Rumor” has been steadily gaining ever since it appeared on the Mediabase chart so what I hope happens with this is what happened with FTFT, where all of a sudden radio realizes it has a hit and pushes it up faster.

I don't know long "Rumor" has been on sale on iTunes for $0.69 but current sits at #9 on the country section of iTunes. I know this has been connecting well, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it at #9. I am so glad that this song seems to be connecting well because I loved this song since the first time I listened to it!

"Rumor" enters the Top 30 on Mediabase at #29.
Sales remain absolutely nuts as Lee Brice is at #45 all genre. I know there is a discount, but very impressive. Now that this song is Top 30, I hope that means this song will finally start to take off.

And it is only behind Beautiful Crazy and Speechless on country iTunes now, #24 all genre. Will it be as big as I Don't Dance at least?

This is top 5 on iTunes and yet to hit top 20 on radio.
This might end up being his biggest hit to date

First EYB returns to the top 10 of the airplay charts now Lee returns as well. This song to me is also a return to #1 for Lee too. EYB should get the #1 next week.

This has power up ads running, and I'm slightly confused. Convert would make sense...

What are the chances of this getting to number one? With Brett maxing this week then Thomas next week, then I'm guessing Blake after that? I'm worried this one will be lost in the shuffle. Ive been a fan of this song and was hoping it would get to #1

It depends on if Brett pulls ahead this week and Thomas pulls ahead next week on Billboard.

it doesn't make sense to me that he wouldn't go for # 1 this week, and/or that Blake would wait two weeks for Thomas, then Lee.

Wonder if they’ll go 3 deep? If they’re just starting the album, I’d love to see Eyes Closed, Songs In The Kitchen or American Nights

My guess is they'll push a third single even if they drop it when new music is ready.
This album was definitely underrated. There is a handful of songs that I'd be happy with being a single, and that does not happen a lot these days. I think my top choice would be "The Best Part Of Me"

He’ll never EVER come close to a Hard 2 Love album again but I enjoyed the recent one a lot

Lee's first #1 in nearly five years. Impressive. I honestly didn't think he would see another hit this big in his career, although I'm still skeptical to say he'll turn this into anymore long-term success instead of going the way of Gary Allan after "Every Storm." This has been a big year for Curb and independent labels in general. Curb had the longest charting song ever with Rodney Atkins' "Caught Up in the Country" and got him his biggest hit in several years. They've also managed to continue sustaining radio relevance for Dylan Scott and now new artist Filmore is off to a nice start at radio with "Slower." I think Curb will last a while longer in country radio before the label has to fold or be acquired.

I think Curb will last a while longer in country radio before the label has to fold or be acquired. I wish Curb would not exist. They do a great job with greatest hits albums (think Tim McGraw). I don't love most of their music, but we need more independent labels having success in country music. Without them, that's more airplay and market share that'll be eaten up by some rich, corporate label like Universal that takes randos off the street and turns them into super stars with generic crap that no one really wants to hear and a bunch of corporate money (ex. Jordan Davis). At least artists like Lee Brice, Dylan Scott, and Mo Pitney have built up legitimate fan bases on their own through their output. If Curb has success with an artist, you at least know it's 100% because of the artist's music and not label power or industry connections. As Mike Curb has said before, Curb has a lot less clout with radio than its competitors, so it's refreshing to know that whenever one of their artists is successful, it's entirely due to the artist's merits. Just about every spin they manage to get for their artists, they have to earn by releasing music that listeners want to hear and waiting months for radio to test the songs, get requests for them, and finally start to realize that they're hit records. There's also something to be said about the bootstraps talent of a label that single-handedly holds the three longest-charting songs in the history of the Billboard country airplay chart. You don't get that by manufacturing hits. You get it by doing things the hard way. And even though I don't love boring songs like "Nothing to Do Town," I have to acknowledge that it takes a lot of elbow grease to get where Curb has.

Owns huge parts of the Row, has one to the top 3 CCM labels and huge (major) publishing division. They’re far from being folded or acquired.
