Haven't heard this yet and I already know it's better than Walker Hayes' new single, lol. Seriously though, love the title and can't wait to hear this. Glad they're striking with new music sooner rather than later.

Pray this song is a hit. Lauren needs to stick around. I love just about anything she puts out, but I hope radio loves this.

First thing I thought of when I saw this was "80's Ladies" by K.T. Oslin.

I’m so here for this! It’s Lauren Alaina, so I have no doubts that this will be a quality lead single. I really hope that country radio will give her more support this era. She has superstar potential; she just needs the right song to break her out.

So beyond hyped, I am here for lauren to take over country. So excited to hear this, also excited were not having to wait to long between album cycles. Intristing title, hope its better than that "90s country", i havent heard it so cant judge yet but dont want a similar title ruining laurens chance.

Looks like the song is actually called “Ladies in the 90s” and comes out October 5th. Interesting to see a Britney focus over a Shania/Martina etc. Maybe it’ll allude to all of the above.

Can't wait to hear this - hopefully it will be radio friendly and means we will get a new album in 2019.

Regardless of what song Lauren releases, it won't go nowhere on the charts, cause on her own Lauren's music doesn't get airplay, her songs that have been successful have came cause she had help, IDOL, On the verge and her collaboration with Kane Brown. So don't get your hopes up for this one being a hit. Hope the title references the Ladies of country music of the 90's and not Pop . These are MY opinions.

I'm stay here in my corner doing what I can to help radio see that women are an essential part of the country music world - buying music, getting the word out and getting my hopes up to stratosphere!
If we are getting name drops on this one, I hope they include Faith Hill, Shania Twain, etc, but what about a CMA awards collab with all of them performing this with Lauren on stage?

Heard this debut live night, it’s really good. It has good references, one of them being Strawberry Wine.
Met her as well, she has improved leaps and bounds vocally, dare I say almost as good as Carrie Underwood. I actually prefer Lauren’s tone.
She did ...
Georgia Peaches a cover of some rock song Three What If’s Road Less Traveled And maybe another one, i was drunk I can’t remember

I love that live audio, but this sounds like a very female driven and oriented song - maybe not the best for country radio? Would be cool if it managed to be a hit though

I love that live audio, but this sounds like a very female driven and oriented song - maybe not the best for country radio? Would be cool if it managed to be a hit though I dunno, it worked really well for Maddie & Tae and that was when bro-country was at its peak and female presence was even scarcer on the charts. I actually feel like after listening to the live audio for this that it sounds like a great move for her to make as her next single. I can see her getting a lot of attention over it, and I think the country industry likes Lauren Alaina and wants her to succeed... they just didn't take to "Doin' Fine," but I'm more optimistic about how a brand new lead single will fare.

These two videos capture the whole song. It's hard to make out everything that she's saying, but it will be really interesting to see how this plays out on radio. It definitely calls out radio by name for not playing women, and it definitely references non-country artists and songs.
"I was raised on radio waves where the ladies dominated, sometimes I close my eyes to replay it. I just wanna feel like ladies in the 90s"
Countable references: "Strawberry Wine", "Hit Me Baby One More Time", "Man! I Feel Like A Woman", "Say My Name", "Cowboy Take Me Away", "Genie in a Bottle", "Wannabe"
