While this is a great song, I do see the above things being potential issues. Also The Highway made me sick of it by playing it 20x a day before it even went for radio adds lol.
I'm sure it'll get higher than it is now, though.

I remember when this song was launching, there was some convo about them and FGL both posting about gun control reform... and both songs are moving slowly. But Dierks did the same thing, and he's A-okay. I feel like the chorus is just SO strong on this. I love the ambiguity that he isn't necessarily better or worse because of this relationship, but that's he's just a changed man somehow, too. I hope that with a little promo, the Grammy nom, the 'Burning Man' exposure -- that this becomes something. Dierks has gotten dragged on social media for the TOMS common sense gun law thing (same as FGL) but no, thus far it doesn't seem to have impacted his chart climb (although Burning Man moved a lot slower than I expected based on how it was selling).

I’m incredibly intrigued to see how this will do now that “Burning Man” has peaked. While this was officially serviced to radio a while ago, it seems that from afar they haven’t been in full promotional mode until recently.

Great video and that ending really pulled on my heartstrings! I don’t really have high expectations for this but hopefully radio will embrace it.

While this was officially serviced to radio a while ago, it seems that from afar they haven’t been in full promotional mode until recently. This one has picked up its pace -- over 250 spins gained since "Burning Man" fell from #1. It took almost four months to reach 560 spins has increased nearly 50% in spins over the past month. I agree this didn't get the full blown promotion but I was hoping this would be a little higher than #43 on Mediabase this past week and it went to radio in September. I knew it would have a slow climb but this pace has been pretty absurd. KKBQ in Houston has helped out a ton by contributing over 700k in total audience, so that's another plus. The early believers that added this back in the fall might be asked by UMG to stick with it through the spring and possibly summer and that's going to be part of the battle getting this up the chart.

I love John’s voice and I think he carried “Burning Man” for me. Nothing against Dierks but John made me love that song even more. As far as this song goes it should’ve been a top 20 hit by now in my opinion. I’m glad it’s picking up but with four months at radio already it makes me wonder how long radio will keep playing it before they give up on it.

Really hope radio is in with this song for the long haul. It's so good.

TJ sings on which? The current single or "Burning Man"? TJ is the one that wears the hat and John doesn't wear a hat right?

TJ is the lead singer and doesn't wear a hat (sometimes he wears a baseball hat onstage). TJ's are the vocals on Burning Man. John sings backing vocals, but usually only live.

These two are among the most talented in the business, and I'm shocked this song is having a tough time finding traction. I know the duet was climbing the chart earlier which blocked this a bit, but this should get the love it deserves.

I think the previous couple singles were missteps and they lost the momentum they had. I think that Burning Man restored some of that momentum, but they might have to come up with another big hit.

31 weeks into this songs chart run and it is only at #35 on Billboard with a negative bullet. I personally don't see this doing too much more, maybe Top 30, but I'd be shocked anything beyond that.
It's such a shame that radio has never fully been aboard these guys except "Stay A Little Longer" and "It Ain't My Fault" to an extent. It's clear they have a fanbase but radio isn't very interested in this song at least.

^^^^^^Agree with this 1,000,000%----small wonder that the level of disgust with today's country radio based on a hefty percentage of comments from this board is so high.

This song should be a number one. It might be my favorite Bros song.

On Mediabase, I think it was 32 today with a loss of a few spins

This re-entered the Billboard Country Airplay Chart at #36 this week.

Ugh, this one is finished. Lost 73 total spins the last two updates on Mediabase. It’s already down five spots on the rolling chart. Only got to #31 on MB...
I know this one was a bit slower and they’ve had rocky success at radio but this song was stellar. They’re still quite a name to get for concert venues and the industry loves them, unfortunately corporate radio programmers haven’t fully embraced them yet.

Embarrassing for the genre.
