Wow, what a quick turnaround. Makes more sense why they let "Hide the Wine" go instead of trying to promote it 10 positions higher than it should be like everyone else is doing in the top 20 right now.
Excited about this though!

It is a fast turnaround but really they got there extra ten spots milking it from 20 down.

This song starts off slow but I like it a lot like with most of Carly Pearce's material. In a word to describe this song would be "cute".
Favorite part is definitely the "Heart to heart, face to face, you know all I want to do" as it sounds so catchy.
Here's too hoping it smashes. Read on All Access Daily Mail that the impact date is November 19th.

This sounds like a hit....itβs very current and modern sounding, especially when you compare it to her debut album.

Sigh. I had hoped that on her second album she would go more the side of traditional/bluegrass than the pop side of the line she masterly walked with her first album. I'm especially surprised due to her bluegrass background but not surprised since obviously she's on the verge of sticking around in the genre and they probably wanted something safe. Just wish I wasn't here talking about how great new talents like Carly and Brett Young are playing it "safe" on their sophomore albums.

Yeah I hope she learns something from Josh Abbott Band or Ashley Campbell when making pop country. She is becoming more faceless when she makes pop country like everybody else, and that's the last thing I want. I actually hope she will never use busbee as her producer again because he sucks.

Her debut album really had to grow on me and then I loved it. I hope this does the same, because as of 2 listens, "Whiskey" would've been a much better option.

Absolutely perfect lead single material. I have a feeling country radio and listeners will adore this.

Big machine knows that have landed a potential big fish and she has more momentum than most female in the industry right now.

She has more momentum than most females but she probably has about the same amount or little more momentum as LANCO (I guess that says of how horrible female artists momentum is right now that one of the best ones is comparable to LANCO). She's a potential big fish but she has the potential for flopping as well. I do feel safer betting on her than most females. This does sound like a hit to my ears but who knows with radio these days, there are multiple songs I thought sounded like hits that underperformed. I think this song is the safest option they could have done and is a good song to push for as a hit. Regardless it'll probably take a few flops before Carly Pearce is in any danger especially since Big Machine has kept Danielle Bradbery and she has had her past 3 singles flopped.

As in she isn't going anywhere. My post had nothing to do with gender.

That chorus is absolutely euphoric, I was immediately convinced by the first chorus. I like it a lot and I think itβll be a hit (hopefully).
Am I the only one who wishes Hide The Wine hit the Top 10?! It was so close! But it was definitely the time to let it go so Iβm glad they moved on.

Kind of interesting to see her put out another single that she didn't have a hand in writing. This song is nice, sounds like hit material. I wish "Hide the Wine" would have smashed harder so that "If My Name Was Whiskey" could happen -- definitely the standout from her debut in my opinion.
#5 on Country iTunes right now, this appears to have a similar start as "Ladies in the '90s" by Lauren. I've always seen those two as neck-and-neck for who the new breakout female will be. Ideally both will have success with their next eras, but it'll be interesting to follow.

I thought it was about her relationship with Michael Ray from the moment I read the title of the song but I was hoping for a powerful song not a pop one that didnt do anything to me.

This is great and definitely sounds like a hit to me. Country radio seems to like her a little more than the average female, so I'm expecting this one to end up doing fairly well. I think moving on to new music after two singles was also a good idea given how long "Hide the Wine" took to climb the charts. Better to get something fresh out there to keep interest up, for radio and fans alike. There were definitely some good options left on her debut for a third single, but I'd say getting a new record out in 2019 will serve her career more.

Like Carlyβs voice I am not in love with this lyrically mundane song. The melody is catchy enoug so maybe it will do OK. I have to say iβm Extremely bored with the romance daily tweet. So maybe that is making me cranky about her song.

So maybe that is making me cranky about her song. She just retweeted an interview where she said she wants to be the next Tim and Faith. I donβt expect the daily lovefest updates to end soon. They make me less interested in her too.

I love Carly Pearce but I doubt her and Michael Ray will be the next Tim & Faith. Maybe the relationship in of itself will, but I don't have high hopes they will reach the highs of both Tim McGraw and Faith Hill impact wise.

Out of the 3 couples I think Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd have the biggest chance to be the next Tim & Faith. Although as of right now it does appear Maren Morris is carrying the duo. But I will say this Carly Pearce>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Michael Ray (I am probably the only one on this board who thinks this).

Well "To a T" needs to smash so hopefully he'll be a hit soon. But I will say this Carly Pearce>>>>>> Michael Ray (I am probably the only one on this board who thinks this). Nope, I disagree with you on 90% of things sis, but this is 1000% correct (and I think a lot of the board would agree [except LBTrocks])

Just to add fuel to the fire, let us not forget Kelsea Ballerini and Morgan Evans.

I just YouTube searched him and nothing is looking familiar at all. As far as Ryan Hurd is concerned Sony has seemed to brushed him aside and are all in on Luke Combs, and Kane Brown and are more interested in trying to break out and probably will fail with Seth Ennis and Carlton Anderson. I can think of a few other Carly Pearce detractors or Michael Ray worshipers ( .indulgecountry KanenrΓ‘:ke and jhomes87 all come to mind).
