This is a good song and definitely fits right in his wheelhouse, but I would have went in another direction for the second single. "Sounded Good Last Night" sounds like a huge hit with one of the catchiest choruses I've heard in some time, and its the type of uptempo song that radio literally drools about wishing they could spin. I also much prefer "All Of It", which is midtempo but very strong. "Dad's Old Number" was never going to be next, though I do wonder if they'll give it a shot with the 3rd single.

I LOVE this song! The melody is fantastic, as is the instrumentation. Probably my favorite song of his that I've heard thus far. So good.

I was hoping for it😊...this chorus and it has been on my head since the first time that I listened to.I think Daddy's Olson Number has to be a single maybe as the last one from this era.

I really like this song. Topic is pretty good and I'm glad they did it in an uptempo. Production is not perfect but a heck of a lot cleaner than some of the amateur work Carter did on his first album.
This should be a hit. After what I felt was a lackluster sophomore album, I think he is delivering with this era.

Third most added song this week on the Mediabase Adds Report with 30 adds (38 total historic). Brad Paisley and Carly Pearce finished ahead of Coke in the Adds race.

One of the better singles I've heard from him, and his best single since at least "Ain't Worth the Whiskey" imo. His voice is just so vanilla and uninteresting for me, but at least this song isn't a boring, plodding ballad or a bro-country like "Flatliner," so I guess that's something of a victory. He really sounds like a poor man's Dierks Bentley on this though.

That’s kind of a low adds number for someone who’s had as much success as Cole. Thinking that might indicate another long chart run.

"Love You Too Late" is at #59 on Mediabase, so I think there is at least a non zero chance Cole Swindell debuts on Billboard and hopefully sees a solid debut.

And Break Up In The End.
I checked itunes position of both songs and they are both outside of Top 1000.

"Love You Too Late" enters the Mediabase Top 50 at #49, with a bullet of 81.
Despite the low impact date I would say this song is off to a fairly good start already being in the Top 50, a month after impact.

How "Love You Too Late" has been doing on the charts guys? This week was okay for Cole Swindell. He moved up a spot on Mediabase to #37 re-passing Morgan Evans and having Keith Urban go recurrent, however the new Thomas Rhett song debuted ahead of him so he was only able to move up 1 spot. The song is doing decently well so far. This Monday will mark Week 14 for "Love You Too Late". I do think if Warner Bros wants this to be a Top 5 to #1 they are gonna have to be in it for the long haul. As of now this song is doing okay, it just needs some of the deadweight in front of it to give up already.

How "Love You Too Late" has been doing on the charts guys? Not very well? Its still chugging along, last week checking in at #35 on Billboard after already charting for 13 weeks. Compared to the other songs around him he's not in bad shape I guess, but Cole really seems to have missed a step lately with both this and the lead single having longer chart runs. After the 1-2 punch of "You Should Be Here" and "Middle Of A Memory", it seemed like Cole was just starting to bubble underneath the star status (IMO at least). But he's had 3 lukewarm singles in a row starting with "Flatliner", and this one really isn't showing much promise sales/streams wise so far. Personally, I think single choices are to blame.

But he's had 3 lukewarm singles in a row starting with "Flatliner", and this one really isn't showing much promise sales/streams wise so far. Personally, I think single choices are to blame. Agree. Cole could've easily cemented star status last album era by releasing "Party Wasn't Over" and "Broke Down" instead of "Flatliner" and "Stay Downtown." "Break Up in the End" really didn't match Cole's style at all and received lukewarm commercial reception, further killing his momentum. It managed to peak at #2 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart because it was a lead single from a pretty big name that was inoffensive enough, but probably left a bad taste for Cole in many programmers' mouths. So basically, Warner's handling of Cole since 2017 has been fraught with questionable decisions. It's really quite simple. Warner needs to let Cole release better music, and pick better songs as singles. "All of It" and "Sounded Good Last Night" would do fine on the charts. I can see Cole following Chris Young's path and being a C-lister for many years to come, with every song going top 5 but taking 35-45 weeks to get there. Cole's career, by the way, is another example of why we don't need corporate record labels to promote music. What advice Warner has offered Cole or decisions the label made for him have helped further Cole's career? Honestly, it seems like Warner has mostly just watered down Cole's career by making poor decisions and taken plenty of his money.

I dont like "Sounded Good Last Night" a lot but I agree it can be a good choice to get his momentum back.I like "Love You Too Late" it has been one of my favorites on the album since the beginning.I agree about "Flatliner" and "Stay Downtown" and "Broke Down" would have been a better choice instead of them.

Huge fan of Cole's slow tempo songs like "Middle Of A Memory, "You should Be Here" or "Break Up In The End" but this song is blah to me. Somehow it doesn't seem to suit him.

I won't lie, I get a huge smile on my face seeing this struggle as bad as it is. They just need to pull this and release All Of It.

The chorus sounds very similar to "Mine" (Taylor Swift).

Entered the Mediabase Top 30 at #30, and the Billboard Top 30 at #29.
22 weeks to enter the Billboard Top 30 while not great is just young enough to have a marathon chart run for a Top 5 finish so while this song has taken its time I definitely think there is some potential left for this song.

I think the "Wide Open" part of the chorus is extremely catchy inside a rock song anthem. I'm not sure what the future holds for it, but I definitely don't turn the radio off when it comes on like I do for some songs.

As usual, label power and name recognition seem to be the reasons why this is getting passed by "Southbound." This has great research and is much older. Should hit the top first. Carrie's record better have amazing numbers. Pathetic.

You say these things like they're facts, when in actuality they're just part of your theory of why research > sales. Maybe radio is converting Carrie faster because she's Carrie and they recognize the amount of work it took to get to her level. Maybe they're converting her faster because "Southbound" is has 3.5 times the digital sales of "Love You Too Late". Maybe they're converting her faster because the callout for "Southbound" is great but it isn't on the chart yet. Who knows?

I feel like they're taking name recognition and maybe label power into account over listener response. I think both records will end up peaking near the top, but I doubt Cole will get the Billboard #1 simply because he's on a weaker label that doesn't seem to try for Billboard #1s often, unfortunately. Carrie, on the other hand, is sure to get pushed to the top by her powerful and rich record label, as will Keith.
