I'm all for a "90s sound" but "Talk You Out Of It" is far from that...and Jason DeRulo doesn't exactly scream 90's country to me...
Let's see if they can deliver on the "our newer stuff will be more country" promise that Justin Moore, Luke Bryan, and Blake Shelton fell short on.

Florida Georgia Line have announced their next album to Entertainment Tonight. Called Can't Say I Ain't Country with a release date of February 15. Collaborations with Jason Derulo and Jason Aldean. They claim in the article it will have a 90's country sound to it. A tour to come in support of the album as well. These guys are such tools.

I'll eat a pair of my own underwear if the new FGL album even slightly sounds like 90s country.

Hopefully it will actually sound like 90s country and the radio will do what it does with 90s country music and that's the last we hear from them.

That album title is nothing but an obvious troll to anyone that doesn't drink their kool aid.

Artist: Jason Michael Carroll
Album: Strings (Official Movie Soundtrack) Label: For The Lonely Records Release date: January 11, 2018 Several months after the release of the debut of his first acting role in the movie Strings, Jason Michael Carroll is releasing an 11-song soundtrack from music featured in the film. Former Marine Jason Michael Carroll (whose album Waitin in the Country soared to number one on the US Country Charts - producing three Top 40 hits including "Alyssa Lies" "Livin Our Love Song" and "I Can Sleep When I'm Dead"), and Katie Garfield ("The Birth of a Nation") led a strong cast in this drama centered around making it big in the music business. The plot centers around JMC in the movie. After years of paying his dues in every bar from New York to Pennsylvania, New Jersey Rock n' Roller Jimmy Ford trades in his rock n' roll fantasy for the bright lights of Nashville. His new life in the Music City presents staggering highs and lows, but everything may not be quite as it seems. Said Carroll on his Facebook page, "I canāt even begin to tell you guys how nervous I was, this being the first film Iāve ever been in but also my first starring role! Thank you all for the kind words about the film from those that have seen it! I really appreciate you all." Track listing: 1. Take It All 2. Just Happens That Way 3. The Reason 4. Why (Because I Love You) 5. Let You Walk Away 6. Here I Am 7. Thank You For Loving Me 8. Just Happens That Way (Acoustic Scratch) 9. The Reason (Acoustic Scratch) 10. Why (Because I Love You) (Acoustic Scratch) 11. Let You Walk Away (Acoustic Scratch)

Glad he's OK to do that. I know he was in a pretty rough car accident earlier this year, so glad to see JMC able to work like this.

As mentioned in the Burn Out thread, Midland's second album will be released on March. From Country Aircheck's 2018 year-end issue, Farewell Angelina will released an EP called Women & Wine on 1/25, Dylan Scott will release an EP on April, and Jake Owen and Locash will release album in Q1.

Has Florida Georgia Line ever collaborated with a female country artist (Bebe Rexha isn't country and I will go to my dying grave saying that) on any of their albums? I am shocked if they haven't given how popular they are, I also feel like they'd be good to have a male female duet song that the female artist is country.

They had Sarah Buxton on "Dayum, Baby" from their first album.

Ripping off Jerrod Niemann I see š
Itāll be interesting to see how their young fan base takes to the skits. Kids today and their short attention spans arenāt gonna like those.

It's neat to see, as it gives me hope that it may be a more cohesive album than their last two mis-matched efforts. To be fair, a lot of artists have gotten away from a full front-to-back album experience, but either way I'm glad to see this may be a step back to it.

Attachment DeletedOut today!! Weldon Henson "Texas Made Honky Tonk" I highly recommend him if you are fan of very twangy country, with LOTS of steel guitar. His last album "Honky Tonk Frontier" was awesome, front to back. The music is strait from the dancehalls of Texas. Think of a more hard-edged Midland, or Dwight Yoakam. Track Listing 1. Love's Little Lies 2. Texas Made 3. The Heartache's On Me 4. My State of Mind 5. No Turning Back 6. Hung Up On You 7. Things I Don't Want to Do 8. Sleep All Day 9. Heart a Home 10. Are You Thinking Of Me Too? 11. Next Time I'll Be Prepared 12. Not The Kind to Hang Around 13. I've Got To Be A Rodeo Man 14. An Empty Glass

Artist: Sundance Head Album: Stained Glass & Neon
Label: Dean Dillon's Wildcatter Records Release date: January 25, 2018 Sundance Head's Stained Glass and Neon, will be released on Dean Dillon's Wildcatter Records on January 25, 2018. Dean Dillon is one of country music's most iconic songwriters, with over 62 songs cut by George Strait alone ("The Chair," "Ocean Front Property," etc), plus other hits like "Tennessee Whiskey" (George Jones/Chris Stapleton), "I'm Alive" & "A Lot Of Things Different", hits for Alabama, Toby Keith, Lee Ann Womack & many others. He is also producer on this album by The Voice winner and self-proclaimed "soul country" singer. Dean Dillon on Sundance Head, āWith the help of some business associates in Texas, I had the opportunity to create my own record label, Dean Dillonās Wildcatter Records, and I knew that wanted to work with him. Iāve been in this business all my life, and with the exception of a couple of people, Iāve never heard anybody sing the way this man does. I think the most amazing thing to me is his vocal range and control. He is extremely special,ā The 40-year-old Texan Head talked about what fans can expect from his album, "Itās not rock, itās not country, itās not blues. But I think once this record comes out, people will understand. Itās kind of a throwback to when songs meant something. Itās real music, and weāre not trying to compress it and put beats on it. Itās a really old-school modern country record. Thatās my style, man. Iām an old cat. I donāt really identify with the country thatās currently on the radio.ā

(seems as if at least 6 songs have already been tracked + whatever is happening with the Pitbull collaboration, presumably for Ugly Dolls movie)
