Women release radio-friendly singles all the time and they get overlooked anyway. For instance, RaeLynn's "Tailgate" was completely D.O.A. when it went for adds a few months ago, despite easily being the most hit-worthy thing she's given country radio to date. The fact that she got a Top 30 hit with a song like "Love Triangle" but couldn't even get on the charts with songs like "Lonely Call" or "Tailgate" that actually sound more like what country radio should be interested in playing shows to me that it isn't just women not releasing the right songs (which is often the BS excuse I see on social media comments). I think it all depends on what radio people deem is radio friendly. What may be radio friendly to person A may not be for person B. I think they, as in radio unfairly hold women to a higher standard and are more dismissive as well. I wonder with Raelynn in particular they are more keen on her ballads than uptempos (I know "God Made Girls" was a hit but that only made it so far due to OTV). I'm curious though, what would be your solution to try and get more women success on country radio?

It's subjective to a point, but in the case of "Tailgate" vs. "Love Triangle," under no circumstances is it even debatable that "Tailgate" is less radio-friendly between the two. But we're off-topic now so that's all I'm saying on the subject.

"Every Little Thing" enters the Mediabase Top 40 at #39 gaining 29 spins.
This song is definitely on the slowest start out of all 3 of Russell Dickerson's songs it feels like. Large part are the sales, as the sales aren't there, and radio still obsessively playing "Blue Tacoma".
With this song now in the Top 40 on country radio, I hope this can help some buzz and sales for this song. Russell Dickerson is among my favorite male new artists out there and I would love to see him score his third #1.

He and Carly Pearce are posting a lot of videos from their tour on Instagram, but I would be curious how many people are attending.

One of only 2 songs entering the top 40 on Country Airplay. The other being Justin Moore re-entering the top 40 at #39. Russell enters at #40.

So far this song has had probably the most middle of the road chart run I have seen lately. Selling poorly, but not so awful it is not good in any sense, has taken 20 weeks to hit #34. Never has had a bad week since hitting the Top 40 but always just there.
I still think this will be his least successful hit out of the 3 singles on the album, but it is doing well enough to keep hanging by.

Itâs evident that even if this one takes 40-50 weeks to peak at #2 on Mediabase, this one wonât be a very memorable hit. Luckily for Russell though I think callout scores and local testing will help keep this one running for a while.

The first two singles really connected, but it's clear this one isn't doing the same. It does look like something radio will be content pushing up the charts to a higher-than-deserved peak anyway though.

I have his album, and it sounded much better when I heard it at his concert last year. I know concerts are different than produced music, but the song had more energy at the concert.

Really hoping he has a new single/album ready after this peaks. I found nothing single worthy left on his debut past Blue Tacoma. (Float is a guilty pleasure, but not as a single)

They put a new stripped down version of this song on Apple Music today and it's 100x better than the overproduced original.

This is very grating (to me), I canât imagine its callout scores are that great. Coming from someone who liked both âYoursâ and âBlue Tacomaâ, I hope this misses the top 10.

"Every Little Thing" enters the Mediabase Top 30 at #30 becoming his third Top 30 single.
This song is moving slower than his past 2 singles and part of it is probably the song being the third single from his debut album and I imagine this song is also testing worse than his last 2 singles.

But it'll still probably do what the label wants it to do, make the top 15 and give radio another Russell Dickerson song to play as a holdover while he makes new music. It's already halfway there. I can see this sleeping through the summer and peaking around #10 in the fall.

Up to #25 on Mediabase moving up 3 spots passing both Morgan Evans and Tenille Townes this week gaining 218 spins and 1667k in audience.
Kind of shocked this did have such a good week since on the Mediabase callout this has the fifth highest negative rating and the highest Heavy Burn. Also both Positive and Favorite rating are pretty low as well.
With the callout being pretty poor, I don't see this song escaping the Top 20, as the sales while solid aren't so good they can't be ignored.

We've been talking a lot about the male vs. female debate. If this goes to the top, will it be an example of radio playing a male despite bad callout just because? Or will it be an example of radio playing a song that blends in with the kind of music listeners are used to, so they're willing to forgive bad callout? Let's discuss.

I saw Russell perform twice last year, and one of those was his headlining tour. The concert version of this song was more energetic than what is being on radio, which is what got me hooked on the song to begin with.

You could also note that it went #1 on Billboard Country Airplay here in the United States since no one else did...

Bummer. I thought this was gonna stall and fall off the charts before getting near #1 lol.

I liked Russell's first two hits, but this one paled in comparison to both of them and with the sluggish run up the charts this one was having for awhile, I was kinda hoping to see this one top out a bit lower and not reach #1 like the others did.

I don't like many male artists, but Russell is really growing on me and I LOVE this song. Happy to see it hit #1. Seems I may be alone on this....
