I like her first 4 singles more; but fully expect this to be huge. Also thrilled to see Cassadee Pope and Raelynn get some exposure

This is... not lead single material. Fine song, but hardly what I'd kick off a hotly anticipated sophomore era with. Especially if you're about to try to break international barriers with a world tour named after it.

I expected a banger but she sings the hell out of it.

Glad I didn't get my hopes because I don't really like this. (Although it will probably grow on me like most radio singles because when there isn't much quality on the radio it makes some of the songs seem better than they are)

This sounds like a reject from her debut album. Totally underwhelming and I see this flopping. Next.

I will save my thoughts on this. I so rarely like a song upon first listen, so every song is a "grower". My only thoughts so far is that, its different.

I agree with the sentiment that this song is certainly a grower. The verses outshine the chorus. It's a good song, and I'm very excited about it. This is nowhere near as underwhelming as "Legends", and Kelsea managed to score a #1 with it anyway, so I think this will perform fine.

If the debate is "women don't want to hear women on the radio" then this is the song that will defy that line of thought. This is a female anthem. That's the song we'll play for our friends who are down and out, the song we'll play for ourselves when we need to get ourselves out of a funk. She's aiming for a specific demo here and she nailed it.
Here for it and she sings the hell out of it.

I doubt this song grows on me. This feels even more underwhelming than "Legends" did for Kelsea Ballerini. Hearing this for the first time and my first response was "This was the best they could do?". Just underwhelming, doubt it tests well with radio beyond the whole female vocals thing.
I really wish the success of "The Middle" never happened, while it made her career so much more successful, that type of sound is just not for me and I have a feeling that it will seep into her next album, as this song has some similar sounds to it. Wish she went more in the "My Church" or even "I Could Use A Love Song" sound.
I think this song will die out in the teens or just inside the Top 10, be a hot seller, but probably test particularly awful ("Vice", "My Church", and "Nobody To Blame" come to mind). I just don't see radio playing this song a lot. Doesn't sound like anything radio would play at all.

Not what I look for in a country song. However I've leaned away from expecting country to sound like what I like and I'm okay with it. This IMO is a good song.

I like this just fine, but my expectations weren't through the roof because I liked "80s Mercedes" and "Rich" but wasn't that big on the two slower singles from her debut. This is easily her most pop single as a lead act, and the singles from her debut were already very pop-leaning. It'll be interesting to see how Country radio responds.

For those that were considering the VIP experience for the tour that was announced today that runs $200, it includes this:
One (1) general admission ticket with early venue entry* Meet Maren Morris! Say hello and snap a photo with Maren before the show Invitation to the ‘All Of My Favorite People’ pre-show experience and interactive Q&A session with Maren Morris One (1) limited edition tour poster, signed by Maren Morris One (1) commemorative VIP laminate Merchandise shopping opportunity before general doors On-site experience host
That is similar to what Kelsea did when she did a solo tour a few years ago, but it was half the price. At least where I live, the cheapest ticket is $39 (standing room).

I was expecting something louder and may have hyped up this release too much in my head, but I still think this is a really good song. Perfectly fits her voice and hits the message she's been spreading flawlessly.

Meh. The chorus is pretty weak.

Hmm, I like the message and the lyrics. I think the song might have been better off going more heavily pop, or more heavily country. But vocally, it's great

“Girl” has underwhelmed me, to say the least. The entire melody is monotonous and to me seems to be missing the magic that her debut album had. I’m still rooting for her, though. :)

I didn’t love it but It’s a cute song. I certainly prefer Maren when she put out stuff with a bit more of an “edge” to it... but it’s a nice girl anthem, it guess.

I didn’t expect this to be that good based on the lukewarm reception (on here at least), but I really, really adore this. I don’t think it’s quite at the level of any of her Hero singles, but I think the lyrics are great, the verses are smooth, and the chorus is actually really catchy. I found the chorus underwhelming at first, but with repeated listens it’s actually stuck in my head now and I want to keep going back to listen to it. It’s pretty far left on the pop-country spectrum, but I don’t really see this sounding out of place or anything on country radio. I hope this connects with the public so it can potentially cross over!

Not a fan of Maren’s voice in general. This doesn’t change my mind. Nothing personnel I just can’t get on the Maren train.

This is okay on the first couple of listens, I don't think it holds a candle to what she's capable of, but it's not bad.
My biggest complaint is it kind of drags, I thought I had listened to a 6 minute song, I was shocked to see it's only 4.

So i totally dig the message. I'm also beyond thrilled that this isn't a pop song, which I was totally expecting. More of an alt-rock if anything. Her vocal delivery is way different than her first album though, and that is a little poppy. Overall not a bad tune.

Maren why ya gotta skip over me? I literally just bought a plane ticket to go visit my friend in San Antonio to go to the show there in April since she hates us Carolinians.

So am I the only one who loves this? It certainly wasn't immediate for me. This isn't what I was expecting at all, so it took be by surprise at first, but after 4 listens, I'm really digging this. Really intrigued to hear how the rest of her album sounds like. Still not sure I'd say this is a great choice for the lead single for her sophomore album, but this obviously means a TON to Maren based off her comments so far and I could see this really connecting to people. Hoping this has a big splash and quick climb so that we can get the album ASAP. I need it out before I see her 4/20.

To me, it’s like Cry Pretty....a great “tour” song, but idk if it is a good “radio” song if that makes sense.
