Um YES. If this can somehow be the next OTV I’ll be ecstatic. Potential big hit here, but we’ll see what radio does with it.

It’s definitely not impacting 11/14 lol. I didn’t see an impact date in the Play MPE inbox.

I wasn't really expecting them to try another single from the project after "Radioland" did absolutely nothing, but I'm glad to see they're going to at least give radio the option to play another song from her. Even though this one is considerably less radio-friendly than that single which failed to chart at all, I think there's at least a small chance this one could make at least a little dent in the charts since "Girl Goin' Nowhere" has gotten a bit of industry buzz, including Garth Brooks covering it for his newest boxed set. I still think they're sitting on "American Scandal" is a crying shame though because to me that one sounds like the big hit of the record. That said, I love the title track too and I'm excited they're releasing it. Girl Going Nowhere is probably my favorite country record of 2018 and seeing her open for Miranda Lambert was pure magic. Ashley McBryde is insanely talented and truly deserves to be a star.

I think this song is aiming for those Song of the Year nominations in country music awards because the criteria require a song to have some chart success. Who knows? Could be a moderate seller and create more buzz for her.

This is a really pretty song and she delivered one hell of a vocal here! Hope this can at least do something! I like her; need to listen to more of her music.

Fantastic song. I've loved every one of her singles, and her album is definitely one of my favourites of the year. I don't really have high expectations after how radio treated "Radioland", but this is such a great song that I wish would see a lot of success. I'm glad that the label is at least trying to go with something else from her.

I don't like this as much as "A Little Dive Bar...," but I like it a lot more than "Radioland".

Love this song. I can only hope the Grammy nomination for the album of the same title will help propel this single.

I don't think I've listened to this album in full, but I really love "The Jacket". I hope they release it as the next single, if they release any more after this.

Did her last single even chart? Very encouraging. No, it didn't. While the early chart appearance for "Girl Goin' Nowhere" is certainly encouraging, I have to point out that there are barely any stations playing this song yet. The only reason it charted is because it picked up 33 first-time spins at KKBQ in Houston last week, and that's one of the biggest stations on the panel. Without that station playing it, "Girl Goin' Nowhere" wouldn't even be close to cracking the top 60. To me, the most encouraging thing so far is that the Cumulus block is already testing this song. All Cumulus stations have reported at least 2 spins for this song in the last 7 days, which likely means they just started playing it this week, and that they'll report it as an add in January. www.allaccess.com/mediabase/q/report/starters/song/MCBRGGN/format/C1

18 adds this week a week before add date. 22 total stations before "Girl Goin Nowhere" goes for add next week, and I am optimistic about next week for this song ad wise despite the heavy competition (Eric Church, Dylan Scott, Brantley Gilbert/Lindsay Ell, and leftover adds from Kane Brown and Luke Combs).

I think the Cumulus block auto-added this one this week, which might mean it actually gets more adds today than next week, but still, this is a pretty good start, all things considered.

Um that’s kind of INCREDIBLE? Yeah sorry I wasn't very enthusiastic, a good add date is always a good start obviously, but we have seen songs have great add dates only to stall out in the 30s and 40s or worse ("Next Boyfriend", "Champagne", "Better Than You Left Me"). Regardless, great start and hopefully this song can be the one to really break her through. Not even because she is a female artist, moreso just because I like the song a lot.

It seems like the word of mouth and critical buzz for her, the album, and this song in particular has caught radio's attention. If "Dahlonega" could sneak into the Top 30 like it did (which I still find surprising that it made it that high), then I'm cautiously optimistic about this one doing at least about as well as that one, perhaps better. Very pleased with the strong adds date and excited to see this one continue to climb. She deserves to smash.

Heard this on the radio for the first time the other day and ugh this song is so magical to hear in that capacity just like "Dahlonega" was. She's the kind of artist who probably would've been huge in the 90s era.

Ugh! I am so conflicted. I love Ashley McBryde so much and am very happy for her, but I was really pulling for Carly Pearce to win the award and if I am not mistaken now Carly Pearce is ineligible for the award next year since she was nominated two years in a row.
Kind of funny, since I do think Carly Pearce will have or is at least right now having more mainstream success then either of the two people she lost too (Lauren Alaina and Ashley McBryde).

I agree with this. Ashley is great, but I would say Carly was more deserving...and also more likely to have long term success.
