Looks like this and Cole Swindell's "All Of It" will be scaling the charts at around the same time, lol.
EDIT: I should probably think more and get my facts straight before posting

This song is a smash. Engrave the Song of the Year trophies right now.

OMG this just literally made me shout with joy. I didn’t think this would be next but this is fantastic news. This better be a massive hit. My favorite by a mile on this album.

I’m gonna guess this will be his biggest smash since Talladega. Should definitely garner some SOTY nominations. This was a pretty obvious call.
What’s weird though, is this originally didn’t even make the album. Crazy, considering how radio friendly it is.

Wow I just listened to the clip of Eric talking about this song. I had no idea it almost didn’t make it. That’s crazy. So glad he put it on the album.

The whole album is great and glad this was a single but they have to release "Monsters" and "Hippie Radio" as singles at some point.

I thought it would be "Heart Like A Wheel" given the buzz for that song. Definitely think this song will be a hit with radio, but I don’t think it'll be very big impact wise.

Was hoping for "Monsters" but this was the obvious choice for radio.

Funny that he and Ashley McBryde are on sync at releasing singles to radio.

Song of the year is an understatement. Album of the decade too.

I think some need to tamper their expectations on here a bit. This is a good choice and probably the most radio friendly option on the album, but I don’t hear “smash hit”. I think top 5 is realistic, but I don’t see this matching the highs of his biggest hits. Really was hoping for “Heart Like A Wheel” because I have absolutely fallen in love with that song.

This is probably my favourite song on the album, and so I'm glad to see it become the next single. Hopefully it can at least get him back into the top 10 (though I'm betting that it will make it to #1).

"Some of It" debuts in the Mediabase Top 100 at #87. Only 54 spins, but good to see radio already interested well before the add date in January.

Makes official Mediabase debut at #43 this week.
I would expect Eric Church to enter the Top 40 next week on Mediabase given how fast this song is heading up the chart. Also sales are great for this song, #170 all genre on iTunes as of tonight. This definitively could be Eric Church's biggest hit single since "Record Year".

I've heard this a few times now and it might wind up being a grower, but this one feels very samey to all the other slower more introspective songs he's put out to radio from his last few albums, and they're getting progressively less interesting to me. I much prefer this style from him to the types of edgy off-the-wall stuff he usually puts out for his lead singles, but this one hasn't really grabbed me either. This seems inoffensive and I imagine it should easily make Top 10 where "Desperate Man" failed, but it remains to be seen how big this one gets because as of right now I'm not predicting this to go down as one of his biggest hits as some have indicated above.

I agree with your thoughts. This isn't a bad song but it's pretty clear to me that every album cycle we get a "The Outsiders"/"Mr. Misunderstood"/"Desperate Man" rocker that he knows won't be a #1 chart smash, followed by a slower, thoughtful, safe "Talladega"/"Record Year"/"Some Of It". I really liked "Desperate Man" and I REALLY like Eric's old stuff but I haven't been a big fan of his last few albums, aside from a couple songs. Just not my type of music.

I really liked "Desperate Man" and I REALLY like Eric's old stuff but I haven't been a big fan of his last few albums, aside from a couple songs. Just not my type of music. Yep, and his last era he literally released three of those types of songs all in a row, so now we're 4/5 in that department with respect to his last 5 single releases. I still prefer that to the "Desperate Man" and "The Outsiders" types that he could be giving us, but the songs are getting less appealing. It's safe and will probably get the job done, but "Like Jesus Does," "Talladega," and "Record Year" i.e. are all much better than "Kill a Word," "Round Here Buzz," and "Some of It" imo. I haven't listened to the album because I'm not a big fan and again he's very hit-and-miss with me as far as singles go, but I think it'd be nice to see him switch it up and give us something different, like maybe a more uptempo track than isn't also polarizing from being too edgy (like "Drink in My Hand").

I'm surprised at how slowly this is moving up, but glad to see it climbing nonetheless. Hopefully it can still become a huge hit for Eric.
