I think I like it, but I want "Remember You Young" or "That Old Truck" to be the next single. And given streaming numbers, nobody likes "Don't Threaten Me with a Good Time". Both of the former songs have over 4 million streams (TOT has over 5 million) and the latter hasn't hit 2 million yet.
This is looking to be a very good album though. I'd say the best of his career easily, and this is coming from someone who liked 'Life Changes' a lot.

Beer Can’t Fix would’ve been great if it was a Jon Pardi song

So basically all other released songs (for me), have been better than Look What God Gave Her. I can't wait for it to leave the chart and we get a new single.

This seems rather flat? Only 73 gains on media base and the rolling chart shows 0.7% increase this week.

Rhett's album according to Hits Daily Double, will have... 50-60,000 units in the first week. Note, 'Life Changes' had 93,000 pure sales and 123,000 units.

I'm sure they're probably right, but I'd wait until the post release predictions before panic mode.

Is there a difference in their situations that would have Thomas not drop as hard as them?

Is there a difference in their situations that would have Thomas not drop as hard as them? FGL's release was poorly timed, with "Talk You Out Of It" only at #27 on the chart when it was released, while Thomas Rhett has a single comfortably in the top 10 and rising more rapidly than TYOOI ever did. Also, the album isn't out yet and they really don't have many ways of knowing how it will perform until Friday. That confuses me, because their prediction methodology is most likely tuned for other genres (pop, hip-hop, R&B) where streaming is more prevalent and singles are some of the biggest indicators of consumer interest.

The Bridgestone Arena show is album-bundled (and the only show that does this). This should bump up pure sales. And he is going to have big streaming numbers. That's no way he is doing 50-60k SPS only.

50,000 in pure sales without a bundle is A list now. Thomas streams wellcfor a country artist, but he’s not pulling in 50k in album streams. The HDD numbers this early out often aren’t super accurate, and they won’t account for a bundle. So if he does have a tour bundle that will obviously up the sales number.

Makes sense, guys. I actually got worried he started flopping when he actually got better in quality.
Oh, might as well update chart rankings while I'm at it:
Hot 100: #49 (-1) Country Airplay: #9 (=) Country Songs: #7 (=) Adult Pop Songs: #28 (+4)
Canadian Hot 100: #55 (-7) Canada Country: #4 (+1)

I haven't liked a song by this guy since "Marry Me." He's falling into the same trap of releasing generic, boring, trend-chasing crap that Luke Bryan fell into. Hopefully this manages to fall short of #1. It's time radio stop taking every song by an A-list name to #1 by default regardless of whether it truly stands out as one of the biggest hits at radio. This isn't particularly testing poorly, but it's not one of the top listener favorites by any means, either. A #2 or #3 peak seems more appropriate for a forgettable single like this. "Rumor" or "God's Country" should get 2-3 weeks at the top instead.

After listening, Look What God Gave Her is easily the worst song in the album. I liked it on first listen, but it will have to grow on me to be on the level of Life Changes.

I'm heartbroken VHS was a disco song that stood for Very Hot Summer, I was wanting some 80's nostalgia.
I found "Notice" to be the highlight of the album. Maybe this albums "Unforgettable", but I found no "Marry Me", "Drink A Little Beer", or "Cardboard Heart". I'm sure most will grow on me throughout the album cycle though. I wouldn't mind if the pre-release tracks minus Little Big Town are the singles.

I found "Notice" to be the highlight of the album. People seem to agree with you. It's Top 20 on iTunes at #19, and is currently the top selling track on the album apart from "Look What God Gave Her". There's a lot of single-worthy tracks here, so I'm not sure what'll be the next single honestly.

Sorry for the double post, but Hits Daily Double updated Rhett's figures:
Thomas Rhett (Valory/BMLG) 60-70k total activity, 40-45k album
So a slight increase, but still a massive underperformance.

This is #6 on Airplay this week. It passed the former #1’s from Chase (7-RE) and EYB (down to 8 I believe) and Blake (8-7).
Edit: "Remember You Young" charted at #59.

"Remember You Young" debuts on the airplay chart at #59. Next single? I'd say that or "Notice", as that has great sales, as it's currently in the Top 10 of iTunes for basically no reason.

“Beer Can’t Fix” would/should be the summer smash imo. Figure Pardi already having a lead single would deter that from happening though. Would enjoy “Notice” for the fall playlists too.

This album is loaded with potential singles, and is arguably his best work yet. “Notice” should be huge, “Remember You Young” has that epic feel to it, “Beer Can’t Fix” and “Sand” both feel like big summer smash hits, and “That Old Truck” is the type of song radio would slobber over. I see this being another big era for Rhett, and he honestly deserves it with the solid variety of songs he continually puts out.

Yeah now I can definitely say this is his best album to date. I've said this on another thread but I'll say it again here. It's very cohesive and has a consistent mood. I can see "Beer Can't Fix" and title track being a crossover hit.
