Did “Dragostea Din Tei” ever chart? If so, how weird! If not, even weirder because that was a phenomenon.

Harlem Shake, #1 hit everybody!
Also the fact that Psy had two back to back Top 5 hits with Gangnam Style and Gentlemen.

Ricegum: It's Every Night Sis #80 (also went platinum! wtf) Frick Da Police (#45 on R&B/HH)

"Delicious" by Jim Backus This is the correct answer. It sure is. And it peaked on the very first Hot 100! Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen is the only thing that comes close to this.

“Oh Sweet Lorraine” which was by a 98 year old man. And Jordy the French baby from the 90s.

Will Young - Leave Right Now
Will Young charting in USA is very random considering his popularity is very UK-centric and he never had much popularity outside UK/Ireland unlike Robbie Williams, Ronan Keating, Craig David which even though they weren't household names in USA they were successful in the rest of world.
Iirc it charted there because it was heard on X Factor USA or American Idol.

Did Strange Fruit ever chart? If so that would be a pretty prominent song to chart that is so charged politically during the time of civil rights, and I think that would have been notable.
I was thinking any song from those SNL shorts would qualify -- Jizz In My Pants, Mother Lover, etc. and of course that "Batdance" song from Prince.

Iirc it charted there because it was heard on X Factor USA or American Idol. it was the song they played during Season 9 of American Idol when a contestant was voted off . it only peaked at #81 though which was alot lower than some others songs that were also used . Bad Day by Daniel Powter was used during Season 5 and was the #1 song of the year.

that J6 prison choir song was four spots away from charting. if that charted it would have been for sure been the top answer to this. I agree with some of the stuff in this thread though, like peaches, the encanto songs, the jake paul and ricegum songs, etc etc you get the idea Disturbed almost had a top 40 hit...in 2016! ik this post is 4 years old, but I don't think this is weird at all considering the amount of mainstream rock that charted all throughout the 90s and 2000s. in fact it feels weird that none ever charts nowadays.

Hikaru Utada- Face My Fears
Since when has Hikaru Utada or the Final Fantasy series been a presence on the Hot 100 at all? Even the Mario series has enough trouble charting, and that's with an American artist.
