I am also glad to hear some tempo. Her double album was a little too slow paced for me.

Really liking how this sounds. As others have noted, it’s nice to hear something uptempo lead the charge this time. Excited to hear what else Miranda and Jay came up with.

"Vice" set such a high bar for her first singles in my opinion (and I though Dead Flowers would never be beaten as my favorite lead single from her). I'm really curios about this Also, it looks like we're getting something extra with the single premiere... maybe the video? http://instagram.com/p/Bz9MD5KnqUR

Locomotive is written by Ashley Monroe, K.S. Rhoads and Miranda Lambert.

I like this better than Locomotive, definitely more radio friendly.

Both songs are classic Miranda. I can see this song doing really well at radio honestly. I loved both on first listen and that's rare for me with any artist.

So happy to listen to new Miranda! Both songs, while quite different from each other, have her signature all over them.
Was not expecting her dropping "Locomotive" too. I thought her surprise was a music video. I guess we'll have to wait for that then...
Btw, I love both songs, but choosing "It All Comes Out In the Wash" as the single is definitely the smarter choice. It's way more radio friendly and if radio is willing to play her, having IACOITW as the single will make things easier.

It’s more radio friendly but it doesn’t feel like a radio hit to me. I like the song a lot though so I’m hoping for the best!

"IACOITW" Is a fun song and it has a cool beat, but I think itll barely chart, almost like "Ladies In The 90'S" did for Lauren Alaina. I really love "Locomotive" the beat has me thinking of Miranda's music when I was in my late teen's/Early 20's listening to songs like "Crazy Ex Girlfriend", "Kerosene", "Famous In A Small Town". But all and all i'm happy, because I haven't wore out a song of hers since "Something Bad" with Carrie Underwood. I'm excited for the rest of the album.

Kanenrá:ke literally took the words out of my mouth. I like this song, but while it is more radio friendly than "Locomotive", it also reminds me of "We Should Be Friends" in a weird way and we all know how well that song did. Still, very excited to see how this song does chart wise.

After a couple of listens I actually like “Locomotive” the best as it displays Miranda’s signature sound and sassiness, but I can see why they went with “It All Comes Out in the Wash” as the lead single. I have to agree with a couple of the posters that this doesn’t sound quite like a radio hit to me and considering how radio treated the previous album era I’m going to keep my expectations low. Nonetheless, it’s great to finally have some new music from her to jam out to!

It’s kind of corny, but this sounds more like a radio hit to me than anything on her last album.

This sounds radio friendly, but it reminds me of “We Should Be Friends” for some reason.

There's something off on the production of "It All Comes Out In The Wash" that prevented it from clicking fully with me. "Locomotive" is a better song but not as radio friendly. Not sure if I hear an absolute radio smash, but hopefully the album will have some better single options.

Love both songs although I’m not worried about radio performance as long as it doesn’t delay the album’s October release date.

I really like both of these songs. “Wash” is a great lead single, and by far the better choice between the two. I hope it returns her to the top 5 at least, but radio is becoming less and less relevant, so even if they ignore it, it’s not as big of an issue as it would have been a few years ago.

I loved it! Sounds so fresh and still sounds like country music. I also loved "Locomotive" reminds me "Crazy Ex Girlfriend" era.

I love both songs, but Wash is clearly more radio friendly. Let's hope for a hit and album soon!

I love this and agree with others that it's obviously more radio friendly than "Locomotive" (which I also enjoy!), and I, too, found myself hearing similarities to "We Should Be Friends" in this one lyrically and melodically. I sure hope it does a helluva lot better at radio than that one did though. I want to see her rack up some more hit singles, even if she doesn't really need them.

I know a lot of people are excited to have something up tempo from Miranda, but this song doesn't do much for me. I so preferred vice/tin man to this. All the comparisons to we should be friends also has me worried because that song sold terribly and did nothing at radio. Obviously this should do better being her lead single but I don't see this being a huge hit for her.

"Locomotive" does nothing for me, but I do quite enjoy "It All Comes Out In The Wash"; the chorus is really catchy and the melody totally works, and the lyrics are both fun and clever. It's got a nice 'feel' to it, makes you want to dance and sing along. Of the two I think the right song was picked to be a single.

I do not care for 'Locomotive' at all, but the single is really good. I actually think its very radio-friendly and I expect it to get her back into the Top 5. It's really clever and she sounds happy in her vocal delivery, which is a huge change from the last era.

Already bigger than her last three singles, lol. But in all seriousness, great to see such a strong debut! I hope it can hold up and not fall too far back now and work its way back up to a higher peak sooner rather than later. Really rooting for her to get back to #1 again, or at the very least into the top 10. It's been far too long.

This is Miranda’s second biggest debut at radio (#30 debut on Mediabase/#19 on Billboard). “Vice” debuted at #28 on Mediabase and #18 on Billboard in July of 2016.
I like this song; it’s creative and an instant ear-worm. I do think it has the chance to be polarizing though. I can see this one being a love it or hate kind of song for listeners and end up having the chart run “Vice” had, which stalled at #11 because of it’s high negative score with research. Hopefully it will push through and at least get Miranda to the top 10.

I'm curious what this chart run will look like, but I'm sort of confused at some of the comments. This song got an hourly iheart debut, hence the great start. Vice was also a lead single, and also had an hourly debut. None of her more recent singles were lead singles, ergo they didn't have the promo debut. This start doesn't really signify anything for the future (at radio) of the song.

This start doesn't really signify anything for the future (at radio) of the song. This feels like you're alluding to my comment that this is already a bigger hit than her last three singles, but I don't see anything confusing about my comment because with its #19 debut, it has already out-peaked all of her recent releases (at least with country radio). I realize it was because of the iHeart debut, but those fluctuate as well so it was possible she could've debuted in the 20s or 30s instead. All I was doing was making an observation that in its debut week the song had already out-performed her last three singles on the airplay chart, regardless of what circumstances surround it. A #19 start is also a little higher than I expected for her to get here. I don't see it as a guaranteed smash hit and I could see it struggling the way "Vice" did if research comes back polarizing, but it's definitely a promising start and I think radio is still interested in Miranda Lambert (with the right material), so we shall see how it does.
