This should get a big boost on the Hot 100 this week (from CMA boost) and next week (from album release). #5 on iTunes currently. They were great tonight! Hoping it goes to #1 on iTunes and gains some more on the Hot 100.

I still really love this and probably always will. I just wish it could’ve been a bigger Hot 100 hit and match the success of stuff like their earlier singles or Bartender. Still, the fact that it’s charting is pretty good (and it even hit a new peak this week). Hopefully they can get a decent boost.

I honestly thought the performance was good! I'm still hoping this could reach the top 40 of the Hot 100, but probably won't sadly. This became one of my favorite songs from them

Billboard has Lady A at #22 on their artists of the decade chart, ahead of FGL, Blake, ZBB, Kenny, and Carrie, which really surprises me considering how they took a full two year break from 2015-17. The power of “Need You Now”, I guess!

The power of “Need You Now”, I guess! They’re even one spot above Beyoncé. Kind of surprising, but I’m certainly not complaining. They did have a ton of charting singles during the first half of the decade.

"What If I Never Get Over You" is predicted to jump 20 spots to #57 on the Hot 100 this week, with another big jump likely happening next week. The album is also predicted to sell 11-14k copies (oof) but also 25-28k total SPS, which means they're getting around half of that from streaming & single sales (which is stellar for a group that debuted in 2007). More streaming also usually means more staying power (hopefully). It's still a big drop from Heart Break (47k sales and 53k SPS), but everyone's sales and SPS have dropped pretty dramatically (Miranda only got 53k, Thomas Rhett 76k, Old Dominion 31k, FGL 50k, etc etc).

"Ocean" should sell more than "Heart Break" because the album is better but nowadays other things count and like u said sales have dropped not only for them.

We’re almost Top 50! Hopefully the album can get it there next week. 🤠

Lol I think HITS’ original sales prediction for the album was a typo, because now they’re predicting 21-24k pure sales (as opposed to 11-14k). SPS has risen to a predicted 27-30k.

Moves up 3 spots to #5 on Mediabase becoming their first Top 5 since "You Look Good". Last two weeks this song has really turned up the heat on Mediabase gaining 889 spins and over 6300k in Mediabase audience. Very hopeful this can finally end their #1 drought as it has been a long time since "Bartender" hit #1 back in September of 2014. If Lady Antebellum can fend Jon Pardi and Dustin Lynch off this song looks primed to be the next #1 once Old Dominion, Thomas Rhett, and (maybe) Keith Urban spend a week at #1.
Also in terms of next single I really hope they take the huge risk and go with "Ocean", it is a huge risk but it is such a good song, and honestly the best song they have probably ever done.

Looks like the plan is to max Thomas 12/8-12/15 and max this 12/15-12/22.

What makes you think that? Thomas co-hosts the countdown on the weekend of December 7-8, so he's definitely maxing the following week. Lady A is next in line. Alpha's instincts are seldom wrong. Your questioning of my judgment has become a regular occurrence. Will there be conflict? I feel like I’ve never even interacted with you on here but maybe I should start if your instincts are so good! I could use you for my ACM awards betting game next spring between my friends and I. Anyway, looks like this made it to #6 on tonight’s Airplay chart. I was worried there for a while radio was about to be about finished with Lady A but this gives me hope for a successful era!

#5 on HCS and #47 on the Hot 100 this week, making this their first top 50 single since "Bartender" back in 2014! This era feels like much more of a comeback than Heart Break ever did.

Yeah, this really feels like a #1. Excited for their comeback on Big Machine. Oh, and HeyHeyHey , I kind of joke around and play a character on this board. Please don't take offense to my comments.

This is continuing to move along, up to #6 on Billboard. I can see this hitting #1 in January, but I hope that they send a second single out immediately after.

Hoping this hits #1 on at least one of the two charts, it really feels like a #1 song. As for the second single, Be Patient With My Love, What I'm Leaving For, and Ocean must be contenders. (Yes I know Ocean was sent to pop/AC but it could also come to country regardless of its pop/AC chart performance)

Ad in Aircheck says “Power Rotation” now. Is that the same or different from Max Spins?

Ad in Aircheck says “Power Rotation” now. Is that the same of different from Max Spins? If I had to guess I would say no and that the ad is more or less just a power up add to keep this song steady and in high rotation during the holiday break (also this song didn't really gain much today) if this song doesn't gain much again tomorrow than it is probably just the label promoting this song to keep it steady.

Ad in Aircheck says “Power Rotation” now. Is that the same of different from Max Spins? No. Power rotation is routinely what labels ask for before they ask for max spins. The intentions is gradually increasing rotation from before in anticipation for max spins. BBR is maxing “Ridin’ Roads” starting December 29th (but should get there before that week). Lady A will follow. Nobody is going to be pushing fo max airplay until after Christmas. Label execs and promo reps will get some vacation for the holidays and of course the influx of Christmas music.

So this song took a while to click me but now I've been obsessed with it for two months and it just never gets tiring. Charles and Hillary's harmony, the song just flows so smoothly unlike stuff like "You Look Good". It's just the song that Lady A needed at this point in their career. It's definitely one of Lady A's best and I'm feeling good about its #1 chances right now looking at the charts. It'll be their first #1 since "Bartender" if it does happen; I'm hoping radio will take this quality material up to #1! I'm not sure either this one or Dan + Shay is going to get there first, but I think both of them should get there at some point (I think D+S is more likely to get there first).

I hope Big Machine is prepared to give it a big push because it would make me so happy to see them at the penthouse after more than 5 years.

Hoping this one finally breaks that streak even if it only lasts one week at the throne because this song deserves it.

We'll see how the numbers look Wednesday when BDS publishes the new Billboard chart. Last week, Lady A was about 1.7 million audience behind Dan and Shay. I'm sure they widened that gap to over 2 million last week, but I doubt it'll widen much more this week. So basically, Lady A is probably looking at having to gain between 2 and 3 million on Dan and Shay for their final push. Can they do it? I think so. I think Warner will play nice here and let Lady A do all they can, while allowing "10,000 Hours" to coast for a week. Big Machine is certainly capable of massive pushes and this has all the numbers to merit a Billboard #1. I think they'll hit the top.
I must say it's impressive how well Big Machine has done with this group. I honestly thought they were over after Heart Break. If Universal couldn't revive their career, I figured no one could. Universal, the big corporate giant, is no longer the only power house in the industry. Other labels are emerging as tough competitors and some are independent. I like it.
Universal will continue to stockpile all their top artists in one label division so Capitol keeps being the top label in Nashville, but it doesn't matter. They're losing market share to Sony, Big Machine and Warner, among others.

Lady Antebellum pulling ahead of Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber. Is Big Machine pushing for max spins this week?:

Dustin Lynch is pushing for #1 this week followed by Lady Antebellum. If anything Big Machine is trying to make sure that "What If I Never Get Over You" is ahead of Dan + Shay/Justin Bieber in preparation for the max push next week, just to ensure they hit #1 next week.

Glad to see this update having them ahead of D+S. Hoping that next week, the max spins put Lady A back to #1 after too long, and on both Mediabase and BB (although having it be so on both charts is probably still a fever dream.)
