Manic is the perfect title for this album.
3am is also screaming to be a single.

Wow I have listened through twice now. Man you can really tell she put her all into this one. I don't think I dislike any song at all. 3AM, You should be sad and Killing boys are my top 3 for sure. She has really won be over this era with everything she has done. I hope we get some promo this week.
I still wish Nightmare was included, but having 3AM on the album almost makes up for it I guess. I hope Eminem doesn't block her from #1.

This is OK, I was hoping for a "Strangers" on this album but didn't come It all feels so cute, not explosive enough for my taste Imma give this some more listens but Chelsea remains my favorite release for the week

3 AM!!!!! That's it. That's all I came here to say.
I don't get why Nightmare couldn't have been on here. I'd love to see 3 AM as a single but if Nightmare under performed then 3 AM would flop.
Why did she write I Hate Everybody about me?

I just heard "I'm Not Mad" off the Target edition. It's like a mellower, poppier version of "Nightmare" with vocals that kinda sound like BADLANDS era? A great track.

There's a Target deluxe and she couldn't be bothered to include "Nightmare" there? 😴
Looking forward to hearing the album later though! I've loved everything I've heard so far.

Man, she lyrically did that on this album I love the writing from start to finish
Its straight and direct without sugarcoating, its hits hard and captures the album's mood perfectly

It's so honest and vulnerable and I appreciate her sharing that with us. It's so beautifully written. She's truly so underrated as a songwriter honestly.

I honestly wasn't crazy about her writing Parts of it were good in Badlands and others were too angsty
HFK was a great step up, the writing was largely good but only some songs really drew out a more emotional feeling for me like 100 Letters
I think Tokyo Narita was the first song where her writing potential came to me
This album though, she goes all in on the writing and it's more effective goven the much more stripped down production being present. Her vocals are shine through the best on this record.

I’m really loving Manic. The lyrics are (brutally) honest and it just feels cohesive, which can’t be said for many albums these days. My favorites so far are “3am”, “You should be sad”, and “Still Learning”.

She doesn't plan on performing "More" anytime soon, not even for tour. She said it's too hard for her :(

Went to target to get the exclusive version and my store was entirely sold out. I don’t think this has EVER been the case with a new release I was interested in. Love that for her but hate that for me because I really want the cd.

I've been blasting this all day on repeat. I simply can't get enough. I've never been this interested in her albums before but this one is just so cohesive and a pleasant listen the whole way through. I wanna die to this album yup.

This girl really is talented and there is a reason she is where she is today. Manic is easily her best album so far and an actual masterpiece. It's funny. Even though I have been a fan since her debut, I was never as connected to her music and to her as I am right now. Welp. She delivered an A level album. If this made it in time for the Grammys, I would have said this is Pop Vocal Album material, easily. #1-14 are essential. 15-16 are iTunes and Target bonus tracks. 17 is for an undiscovered island.
1. Still Learning (What. The. Actual. Fuck. Everyone brought their A-game and don't think I didn't catch that Romy Madley Croft credit, either. How can this not be a single??) 2. More (bitch is really trying to make me cut, huh? totally caught me by surprise) 3. Graveyard 4. I HATE EVERYBODY 5. Without Me 6. You should be sad 7. Finally // beautiful stranger 8. Ashley 9. Clementine 10. Dominic's Interlude 11. Alanis' Interlude (BITCH! SLAY ME WITH THOSE VOCALS THO! LEGEND!) 12. SUGA's Interlude (ok this is my introduction to BTS but when that sexy voice comes in...) 13. killing boys 14. 929 15. I'm Not Mad 16. Forever...is a long time 17. 3am

I knew you had taste! Though I'm eyeing you at "killing boys", "Forever" and "3am" being that low.... but I'll let it pass. Also yes "More" :(((

I deleted the interludes... they're cute but nothing I wanna replay much.
I love the creativity on this album though. "3am" is really good and probably the next single. Why was "Nightmare" scrapped? It really fits the album.

3 AM is just not for me. The whole Warped Tour vibe is better left back in that time period.

Currently predicted to debut #2 with 185k-210k sold! Manic also debuts with 17,278,931 streams on Spotify in it's first day!
I was not expecting these numbers considering the performance of the singles! I'm proud of her! The #2 debut isn't that bad.

That’s almost double the sales of last weeks #1 album. Wish she dropped a week earlier.

Chiming in here to say that 3am is THAT song. Really solid album after the first listen. Probably going to end up being my favorite Halsey album.

On first listen, this is a very good album. I just tried to pick my 'standouts' but other than Still Learning (which just resonates with me on a personal level, minus the struggle with fame part) I couldn't because I like the whole thing equally, which is a great sign for how this will age with me. But I am not sure how I feel about the sequencing; it feels jumpy, and not in an intentional 'mimicking the album title for atmospheric purposes' way. I'm sure there are lyrical reasons she laid the tracks out in the order that she did so this effect may grow on me later...or I may make a playlist later to rearrange to my liking. We'll see. Currently predicted to debut #2 with 185k-210k sold! Manic also debuts with 17,278,931 streams on Spotify in it's first day! I was not expecting these numbers considering the performance of the singles! I'm proud of her! The #2 debut isn't that bad. She’s up against Mac Miller. That’s almost double the sales of last weeks #1 album. Wish she dropped a week earlier. There's no way her team could have anticipated that she needed to pick a different week though. Mac's family announced his album with less than two weeks' warning and Eminem came out of nowhere. Part of me wishes she would have pushed back one or two weeks when Circles was announced, but really it's just kind of a bum hand current pop stars have to play with right now. Their fanbases don't consume the same way hip-hop fans do so they'll rarely have the numbers to be able to defeat whatever sneak attack lands on them in any given week and it's difficult to plan for that if you're not lucky enough to be signed to a label with the inside scoop (in retrospect this is probably why Selena picked the week she did). But they can't try to plot a sneak release date themselves because their fans aren't conditioned to expect or even want a 'surprise' album. Pop fans want leading singles, traditional rollouts, and announced dates. This is all the more reason why people shouldn't put so much emphasis on being #1, but I know that will never end.
