It is indeed called Heartache Medication, which will be released on June 3rd. Song is written by Jon Pardi, Natalie Hemby and Barry Dean. Album of same name will be released on September 27th.

Label must be pretty happy with Jon's recent success if they are letting him release a song with a fiddle opening as lead single. Can't wait to hear the studio version. The snippets have sounded awesome.

Studio version is up now on all platforms. Heard a 30-sec snippet at work. It sounds great. More detailed listen on my drive home

It’s really good and that fiddle is glorious, but it doesn’t seem like a lead single. Was just expecting something a little more dynamic and eye popping personally.

This is terrific. Sounds like a natural progression for him and it's a good mix of sounds from both his albums. Can't wait to hear this on the radio.

Keep being you Jon. This is great, though I don't think it's quite as catchy as Head Over Boots or Heartache on the Dancefloor. Still, the production is fantastic and that fiddle is pure ecstasy. Can't wait for the new album, I just hope this keeps his momentum going.

For the more throwback style he does; this is terrific. Now whether or not radio will push this all the way to hit status remains to be seen. Plenty of fans want to hear something like this on the radio, so I’m optimistic

It looks like the label's willing to go all in with staking out the role of Nasvhille's leading traditionalist. If there is a big revival of traditionalism in the mainstream he will be hugely rewarded. Even if there isn't, he will still stand out. This may not be the best option for getting the biggest hits, but they are playing the long game. Like, the being selected for the country music hall of fame in 40 years type of long game.

Not sure whether he should be called traditionalist when Dirt On My Boots and Heartache on the Dancefloor exist. However, his traditional sound feels like more complete than others e.g. Luke Combs or Midland, which is definitely a plus.

Doesn't have as good of a hook as I was hoping for, some of the other new songs he's been performing sounded stronger in that department. This is still really good though and I love the fiddle lead! Hopefully radio takes kindly to this.

Looks like I'm in the majority here as the lyrics will have to grow on me and the hook is pretty mundane. However, the production and instrumentation is SO DAMN GOOD. Jon Pardi is going to do it his way and I'm thankful for that. I enjoy this one good enough, don't know how it will do as a first single on the radio but I'm glad this is his direction.

I wonder if this will be getting a big debut considering his last album got a lot of award nominations?

I love this song and it’s COUNTRY! Having said that this might peak around #20 .....I really can’t see this getting massive air play. I hope I’m wrong.

I really love that fiddle, but otherwise, I don’t see myself purposely revisiting this one. His voice is a tough pill for me to swallow unless I really like the song and I find this melody to be pretty weak.

I actually find the melody to be one of the strongest aspects. When the chorus hits, his delivery really tracks well with the beat and the background fiddle. Each time I listen I enjoy it more and more.

Does anyone else hear "Fool Hearted Memory" when they hear this?

Does anyone else hear "Fool Hearted Memory" when they hear this? I hear that in some of the instrumentation and even the fiddle, which is why I like that aspect of the song, but melodically this is nothing like it IMO and is far, far, far inferior to it.

I like this one quite a bit, I hope it can be the song that brings him to the A list and helps him to have quicker chart runs. I liked 'Night Shift' but I had known the song and listened to it for years before it peaked.

Third most added song with 41 adds. 44 total stations. Solid start especially given competition from Jake Owen and Brett Young.
