So awesome! I was at the show last night but didn’t hear what he said at the time. Nice to watch it back!

He had no problem standing and clapping when Garth won. Seems like a chickenshit move to me. 🙄

Did the label drop this song, as "Monsters" lost over 70 spins today and 300k in audience on Mediabase? Of course this could be a one off update, but when a song loses that much audience and spins in a single day, that tends to indicate the end. Obviously this song has had a slow go at it the last couple of weeks (only gaining 422k in audience last two weeks on Billboard) and I imagine the release of "Does To Me" was gonna naturally slow this song's chart run down but I am shocked if this is the end of the road for this song and I would like to imagine this is a one off update.

This really has me wondering if the rumors of new music are true. He did say “to the fans, we’ve got news coming soon” on his show last week....Roller Coaster Ride-Mr M 2.0?

His profile picture on all social media has been changed to a studio pic with the caption “Mountains of North Carolina- Coming Soon”
Travis Meadows, Joanna Cotten and his photographer all with posts talking about the amazing experience of making this album. Interesting.

I'm surprised nobody has posted it yet but he sang a new song more than likely from his new album called "Jenny" at CRS.

Enters the Top 20 on Mediabase at #20. Very interested to see how much longer this song has as since the new year "Monsters" has never really had a strong week of gains and it does seem like Eric Church has new music ready to go.

I’m torn because I love this song and want it to become even bigger but if he has new music that is fine because I’ll probably love that song too.

I wonder how much longer they'll promote this before moving on to new music. While "Monsters" hasn't been setting the charts on fire ever since reaching the top 20, it hasn't been moving too slowly either. I think that with another 10-15 weeks of promotion, this could be a top 10 single (and a 45 week chart run isn't unheard of for Eric–see "Round Here Buzz"). But they could just as easily move on to new material like "Never Break Heart" which, from the ACM performance, sounds like Eric's most radio friendly lead single ever and would likely be a better investment than holding on to this one.

I think this is one of the best songs that Eric has ever put out. As much as I would like a new album's worth of material from him, I want this song to go as high up the charts as it possibly can.

Wonder how much this ones got left.
For premium EC members, there’s a tribute to a fallen tour crew member with a snippet of the studio version of “Never Break Heart”. Sounds like song of the year material

This song only gained 10 spins and got passed this week by Maddie & Tae, Chris Janson, and Luke Bryan on Mediabase falling back to #18. Out of all the songs in the Top 20 this is the definite weak link of the bunch and I do think the end is drawing near for this song given how much this song has been spinning it's wheels the last few weeks.

This one has connected like I had hoped it would. Unfortunately, I feel like this one might be too deep lyrically for the average radio listener, and I imagine the meaning flies over the head of many. Probably best to cut ties with this era and move on to some new music. Eric could really use a radio friendly upbeat tune, one that doesn’t lean too hard into rock music territory. I feel like he hasn’t had anything like that in a long time.

I feel like he hasn’t had anything like that in a long time. From the 2 studio short clips I’ve heard, it appears he may be reverting to a bigger, ‘Chief’ -like sound. Supposedly the albums done, only a matter of time. His photographer said it’s ‘mindblowing’ and the ‘best music he’s ever made‘

I really like this, but this feels so old now. I actually forget that it is still a 'current' single since I haven't heard it in weeks. If Eric has something new ready to go, I think it would be in his best interest to switch to it.

I have to imagine the ed of the road is near as this song lost 34 spins today and audience wise has lost almost 500k since Monday. Unless this one has a solid rally on Billboard it will probably go recurrent Monday night on that chart. Happy this song made the Top 20, but it is quite clear country radio has let this get as high as they are going to.

I'm also inclined to think that the time has come to pull the plug on what happens to be be a very unorthodox single from a gentleman whom I've always enjoyed, as well as someone who's definitely among the most unorthodox superstars in the history of the format. His body of work has certainly made him an outside-of-the-box format outlier and IMHO worthy of inclusion into the Waylon/Willie/Dwight Yoakam outlaw wing of country music as well as someone whom I've always admired just for being very content to make his type of country music without giving a you-know-what regarding what anybody else thinks, so here's hoping his next single continues that trend.
I'm still ticked that Terri Clark's wonderful rendition of one of his best compositions (The World Needs A Drink) wasn't a flat-out smash, but that's show biz as the saying goes.
