Because of her immense number of songs in the Top 30/40, I guess this will go recurrent. Does anyone know? It's projected to land somewhere from 43-46 I think, it was #13 last week so it'll be safe. If her album is stable though, that's a different story.

Slightly off-topic but tangentially related - anyone here an expert at how the Spotify "recommended" algorithm works?
The first 2ish days after TTPD was released, whenever I got to the end of the album, Spotify would start playing August as my next recommended song. I didn't think anything of it, as I love the song, have played it many times on Spotify, and have it marked as "Liked". But what I found interesting was that August received a larger than normal boost on the overall US Spotify numbers that came out on Saturday. It usually only gets a boost that big the end of July/first week of August. Which made me wonder if everyone listening to TTPD automatically got August played as the first listen after finishing the album.
On the 3rd day, whenever I finished the album, it started playing Is It Over Now? Every single time I finished TTPD, it would start playing.
Now, since the 4th day of release, it starts playing Cruel Summer as the first song, followed by Sabrina Carpenter's Espresso. The 3rd song has a bit more variety (sometimes Too Sweet, sometimes Greedy, sometimes something random). But it's been pretty consistent. TTPD -> CS -> E since Tuesday for me.
Is this something Taylor's label can influence? Is it happening for everyone or just me? If it is something they can tweak, I could see it being an insurance policy to try to save CS from her own album bomb.

I think that song is one of my most played current (2023-24) songs of the last few months, so that makes sense. I think since Monday I've gotten "Espresso" each time after the album is finished, which is odd because I don't stream that song nor do I really ever stream Sabrina's music. It's odd that I haven't gotten any Taylor songs immediately after yet considering she's my most streamed artist ever. What I got after just skipping after "The Manuscript": Espresso Fortnight Good Luck, Babe! Training Season bye We Still Don't Trust You I LUV IT My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl Illusion

If it is something they can tweak, I could see it being an insurance policy to try to save CS from her own album bomb. spotify paid autoplay was a feature that was released right before flower's release and flower was the first major release to use it. good chance expresso is getting boosted on autoplay since her label paid for nonsense to get that treatment. boosts in autoplay so far have only been happening to new, promoted singles for a few weeks to a few months but not indefinitely there is no way taylor's label is paying for august, cruel summer, is it over now when they fortnight have the currently being promoted single. unlikely that they will use the feature since it reduces payouts to taylor for the songs stream. so that pattern is likely just due to their reccomendation alogrthmin.

Not easy!~ I really wish they’d throw out the CS (Eras Tour) performance as the MV so it could pick up streams from YouTube. One of the biggest singles of her career and easily one that will have longevity, would be nice to see them promote it again this summer.
