This is one of several new tracks Offer has worked on with Maya Simantov. It was premiered recently. This one is a remake of the song "Happy People" originally by Prince Ital Joe featuring Marky Mark (aka Mark Wahlberg). Watch/listen to the original song here. Here's a live video of a little bit of the song when Offer played it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGV3AurekNM

I'm really enjoying this track. I can't wait for the album to get released.

yay but ugh just release the album already! i dont think anyone will want to buy it once all the singles are old and people are tired of them! "first time" worked so well bc it preceded the singles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The next album is going to be a mixed compilation a la Forever Tel Aviv. The working title is Happy People and it is supposed to include the few Offer/Maya tracks, Christina Aguilera, Shirley Bassey, Jean-Jacques Goldman, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Erin Hamilton and Sarit Hadad.

my fave part is maya humming with the organ that reminds me of "on my own" The beginning part is really beautiful. The organ sounds very similar to the one used in Kristine W.'s "Feel What You Want." There is a dub mix going around that is 8:36 in length. It's just the backing vocals. No Maya ones. It's nice too.

This is the supposed tracklisting of the new Happy People compilation.
CD1 Why (Original Mix) - Offer Nissim Featuring Maya Happy People (Original Mix) - Offer Nissim Featuring Maya Wish You Were Here (Original Mix) - Offer Nissim Featuring Maya I'm In Love (Original Mix) - Offer Nissim Featuring Maya Love (Original Mix) - Offer Nissim Featuring Maya Everybody Dance (Offer Nissim Remix) - Deborah Cox Cha Cha Cha (Original Mix) - Offer Nissim La Passione (Offer Nissim Remix) - Shirley Bassey Que Hiciste (Offer Nissim Remix) -Jennifer Lopez Eye Can See You (Offer Nissim Remix) - Suzanne Palmer
CD2 Intro Ze Sheshomer Alay (Offer Nissim & Yinon Yahel Remix)-Sarit Hadad Candyman (Offer Nissim Remix) - Christina Aguilera Petra (Offer Nissim 08' Reconstruction) - Dana International Billie Jean 08' (Offer Nissim Remix) - Michael Jackson Change (Offer Nissim Remix) - Ohad Heim More And More (Offer Nissim 08' Reconstruction) - Captain Hollywood Shine (Original Mix) - Yinon Yahel Remember My Name (Original Mix) - Offer Nissim Featuring Symphony Extreme The Flame 08' (Offer Nissim Remix) - Erin Hamilton La Vie Par Procuration (Offer Nissim 08' Reconstruction)- JJ Goldman Bonus: Wild Is The Wind - Offer Nissim Present Assaf Amdursky
On CD 2, the Intro that opens the compilation is actually the new intro for "Ze She'Shomer Alay" which has the male vocals that come in during the middle breaks. "More & More" is basically that "Gimme More & More" medley he had been playing during the last few months. It loses most of the Britney samples though.

i wish one cd would be ALL MAYA and the second be other artists. will jennifer lopez REALLY let him use "que heciste?" I'm also dubious of "billie jean........." Maybe it's easier to get those cleared for release in Israel only. I don't know how all that works. The mix he did of "The Beat Goes On" was supposed to appear on the compilation too. On another board, I read that he approached Madonna's people and they would allow it only if the compilation would be released after Hard Candy has been. I don't know how much truth there is to that. But I guess he went ahead without it. I was curious about the "Cha Cha Cha" one because the one released on the Star 69 website, Amazon, iTunes, etc. didn't have any of the Santa Esmeralda samples in it. I know this one does, but I wonder if that was cleared too.

i think "cha cha cha" is super boring without the santa esmerelda samples. it's like the same sound over and over and over and oer otherwise. i find it super annoying how star 69 does these mixes and then they can't put them on their cds to they just take all the vocals out and use that(see "sexy back" and "tell me" for other examples.) it's like they're biting off more than they can chew. sometimes i think peter should just quit djing and go work for playstation nintendo or something, doing their soundtracks! The "Didn't I Know It (Divas To The Dancefloor)" sample in the middle of Peter's NY mix was a nice touch, but it would have been better if he had used it more. But it just made for a good transition/filler track. I noticed they have had to release the instrumentals of those mixes instead. I worry about that sometimes. They also did that with his Duran Duran mix. Although it had very few vocals to begin with, the version on the mix CD and the website just had the Fierce Ruling Diva ones.

I love "Love Me".
What happened to the days when Star69Records would release singles on CD and release different remixes to the song. In Offer's case it's hard to remix his productions because it's already perfect, but I would love to hear what a remixer would come up with is work.
In any case, I'm glad they're available :)

^^ The single "First Time" must have had 50+ mixes. There were tons and tons of mixes. And I still see new ones popping up. And the proper acapella was available. After having heard hundreds of them, the Hector Fonseca and the When I'm With You Part 2 mixes were the ones I still come back to aside from the original. I got really burnt out on that song.

My favorite track on this is "Petra" followed by "Shine" and then "Why" I love the new "Petra" also. I like that most of the vocals were used on this version. The one Offer was playing a few months ago had slightly different production and less vocals. The one I really love (aside from the new Maya tracks) is the intro version of "Ze She'Shomer Alay." It gives me chills everytime.

If it's a general concern, you could contact the PeterRauhofer.com webmaster since it seems like the same person maintains all that stuff.

According to an interview with Yinon Yahel on Mexican radio, the full version of "Shine" will be released in the U.S. via MasterBeat and Beatport in the next couple of weeks.

i've heard that peter has remixed "happy people." can anyone confirm this? Either he has completed it or will be completing it. It was listed in the April News/Tour section. Maybe he'll premier it at the next big event. Both Peter and Offer will be spinning the afterparty for the Madonna Roseland gig on April 30. :)

David Morales has remixed "Happy People" also. I wonder if that mix will be released. He reportedly played it at an event that him and Offer spun at.

The edition being sold on the Israel-Music.com site has a different tracklisting from the version that surfaced a earlier this month. The Michael Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, and JJ Goldman songs are no longer on the compilation. The Jamie Lewis/Kim Cooper track "So Sexy" and Tony Moran's "Something About You", both remixed by Offer have basically replaced those.

i think its really annoying for them to get everyone all revved up with these super famous people on the cd only to not get the rights and have to do last minute changes. that's no way to handle things True. But at least he didn't just leave the songs on there and change the artist and title to something unknown like some of the other DJs have on their mixed comps. Same with leaving the instrumentals/dubs of certain remixes without the vocals that couldn't be cleared. Although, I wonder if the "Cha Cha Cha" one that's on there is the Peter NY Edit that loses the Santa Esmeralda vocals. I'd imagine that one being a bit harder to clear.

Other than the songs you can purchase on their website, this compilation has nothing to do with Star 69.
