She confirmed it was released to country radio today, so it's a single. It will be released on digital platforms on September 27th.

I'm still kinda bitter how ladies in the 90s was treated. Sure hope her DWTS appearance can help this out. Looking forward to hearing this.

Can't wait to hear this. Title makes me think another uptempo, and I love those songs from her, but I keep thinking Lauren should give us an epic power ballad and that might turn the tides for her at radio. It's clear that releasing catchy, strong radio fodder isn't good enough, sadly (as evidenced by the graveyard that currently contains "Doin' Fine," "Ladies in the 90s," and "Next Boyfriend"). She has the pipes to deliver a power ballad in ways that most of the new females can't, and I feel like that would be her angle/niche that could separate her from the Kelsea/Maren/Carly crowd.
Either way, I'm excited for new music from her and will be on pins and needles praying for her to succeed with something.

I will always wonder what would have happened if they had released Same Day, Different Bottle to radio. I think it had a ahot

This is not an upbeat song like “Ladies in the 90s.” It’s a mid-tempo/ballad song. Really good song.

Wow. Looks like we're getting our first ballad since her debut single. Excited and super nervous for how it does.

Oh wow, I'm even more excited now! She better come hard with this one, because with those vocals, she can absolutely murder a ballad and make it hard for radio to ignore her with the right song, imo.

The last verse of the song is amazing. I’ve had this on repeat since it was released to radio.
“I’m afraid of both my parents dying I call my dad, he answers right away and I didn’t hear a word ‘cause I was thinking wasn’t happened yet, but will someday”
We hang up the phone before I know it I’m crying over the conversation my fear took I’m thinking once I learn to soak up every moment I’ll realize my life’s already good”
Emily Weisband wrote the song herself.
This is is my favorite single ever from Lauren. Seriously, the lyrics through the whole song are terrific and the melody matches. Very impressed. Everyone here will love this song.

Lol "Eighteen Inches" is nowhere close to being a ballad though. Definitely excited to hear how this one goes too!! That description of the lyrics has me perched!

I really like this one, lyrics are something most 20-somethings can relate to, and I really want radio to give this a chance. Hopefully the DWTS will help getting the word out

This is absolutely gorgeous. Hopefully switching it up (she's almost only released uptempos to radio thus far) works for her here. She has the voice to really command a great song like this and get people to take notice of her immense talents. None of the new crop of female stars out there right now can deliver a vocal in the way that Lauren can. Really rooting for this one.

This song is gorgeous.
... Just waiting for this girl to blow up because she's the total package. Consistently delivers stellar music, and continues to grow. The falsetto bridge is stunning! The ending had me in tears, lost my dad two years ago and that last verse brought me back to a place when he was still here and I could only imagine life without him, now on the other side of things the perspective is so much deeper... Thank you, Lauren.

Please, please, please country radio play this. We need Lauren on radio and this song is gorgeous. And real. And relatable.
Almost already top five in sales too.

Bawled my eyes out on first listen. Country radio always seems to drop the ball with her, but I hope they use some common sense this time.

This is excellent, and if this can't get her back into the top 10, nothing will.

It's already top10 on iTunes all genre. #2 and close to #1 on the country section as well. It's doing really good. Amazing song.
edit: it just beat Old Town Road and it's #1 on the Country iTunes y'all. her first #1, not counting What Ifs.

I don’t know if Lauren has ever had a number one on iTunes, so big congrats to her! EDIT: according to Twitter, this is her first solo #1 single (What Ifs), so this is a big deal for Lauren. Congrats!

Good start for the song; obviously being received well. I don't know anyone who can't relate to at least part of the song... We always want more money/material things, but it's never enough. We all want someone to love, but often they're not right. And for the most part, we all want our parents around forever; and I know when I was younger I used to think about how unimaginable life would be without them... This touches on it all. SUCH A GOOD SONG!

I somehow remember Like My Mother Does being #1 all-genre for a split second right after the Idol finale. This was 8 years ago, so that could be a foggy memory. But wow, the performance this song is showing. Especially considering it had almost no promotion other than a brief post yesterday.
This song is much more accessible than her last two singles, in my opinion. "Doin' Fine" sometimes felt too specific and "Ladies in the 90s" proved to be polarizing. I feel extremely good about this single.

I don't like this as much as "Ladies In The 90s" but I will be interested to see if it can fare better for her.
