Great job. I still think Billboard should have an infographic like yours released every week that shows song positions and extra chart information per week for the Hot 100.
I'm looking forward to reading what your infographic on older acts reveals.

Thanks, Bill. For the act's five biggest hits, you're going by Billboard's released lists, I gather?

These look really cool! I never would have expected Needed Me to be Rihanna’s longest charting song.

It would be cute to do a PDF magazine with every chart week in a year, and another magazine showcasing all the specific artist based ones.

I did Ariana's chart because it was the most requested on Twitter. I personally would have waited a bit, but it's all for fun anyway. Everyone wants the current artists they call legends. haha. If you see something suspect - holler. I know, but let's keep it to just "Legends of the Hot 100". Rihanna was a perfect 1st choice. Nicki? Well... Ariana? Not even close. LOL. Love your infographics anyway.

Wayne and Drake are totally killing the cute factor with their obscene amount of entries. I'm going to do a few of the pre-digital era big shots next, but those two beasts are already on my radar, and I'm already thinking about the logistics. Also, Jay Z - but his will use Nicki's template, so that's smooth sailing. As for Drake, you can take your time. By this time next year, he'll probably have charted 15-20 more entries. There's a bucketload of other artists you can work on in the meantime.

I don't mind Ariana here, not everyone has 50 entries, 2 #1s and 13 top 10s in 6 years...and top 3 spots in the same week.

kierz7 Ariana is a Hot 100 "legend" in her own right. She debuted in 2013 and look at all she's accomplished in just 7 years.

I’m waiting on Katy Perry!

kierz7 Ariana is a Hot 100 "legend" in her own right. She debuted in 2013 and look at all she's accomplished in just 7 years. She’s accomplished a lot but when I think of ACTUAL “Hot 100 Legends”, artists that come to mind are Rihanna...Madonna...Mariah Carey...The Beatles...Janet Jackson...Michael Jackson...Usher...Whitney Houston...Drake. These are artists who sit in the upper echelon of Hot 100 success. Ariana? There’s just no comparison (yet). To each their own though! Either way, bill.bored’s illustrations are amazing and I STAN!

50 chart entries is crazy, Ariana still seems like a newer act to me but I guess she has really cemented her spot as a hit making artist. Looking at some of those stats it's quite impressive.

Bill, please explain the pink gradient breakdown… The darkest pink are top 5 hits? Lightest pink are top 40s, no shading is bottom 60? I ask because there are some inconsistencies throwing me off!

Got it… Hell, these are the best chart layouts I've seen professional or otherwise in the 45 years I've been following this stuff. Just amazing.

mariah didn't have a #1 in 1994 so she doesn't have 11 straight years of #1s

Britney please. I know she’s not a hot 100 legend but would still like one please or billboard 200 one.

Britney please. I know she’s not a hot 100 legend but would still like one please or billboard 200 one. She may have 5 #1’s, but her Hot 100 stats. overall are TRAGIC! Now, as you said, a BB200 article would slay!

Bill these charts are amazing.
I do think, as someone who is a UX/creative director, I echo the point someone made about the color shading. It would be great if it had a consistent meaning for everyone. You could base it on peak (e.g., top 1/5/10/20/40), and maybe use bolding for longevity (maybe songs >10 weeks)? Or if not peaks, could you apply it based on some sort of point total per song?
But honestly these are so well done. If Billboard was smart they’d commission you to design a book for them.

^Indeed.
When you see the modern acts and their number of entries laid out, it enforces how large number of entries don't really matter too much in the grand scheme of ranking acts, especially in the digital/streaming era. See Glee for instance, or James Brown, who had 90-something Hot 100 entries and doesn't even rank in the top 50 of Hot 100 acts. Not to mention acts that have had a lot of featuring credits )as they receive lesser points than the lead act).
Grande probably has not racked up enough points to crack the overall top 100 as of yet- she wasn't top 60 among females as of July 2018, and No. 25 and up on the list were top 100 overall.
