I listened to this five times and the only line I remember is “I want to introduce you to my kinfolks”
This song has no substance and isn’t memorable at all.

Another song that will certainly be a solid candidate for my top 10 worst country songs of the year. I like the chances of this song making it there. Seriously, whats the appeal of this guy? I don't get it AT ALL. House Party remains the only song from him that i kinda sorta didn't mind. To each their own and of course, I understand why you might not like this song or his style. But do you really don't get his appeal? I mean, not to be rude, but it's pretty obvious. A good looking guy, with catchy songs that are relatable and fun. Again, totally cool to you (or anyone else for that matter) not being your thing. But it boggles my mind how people can't see why others might enjoy him. As for the song, it will be huge. Basically for the reason I listed above.

Another pass from me, I do like that the production is more country than his past singles but that's about all I can be positive about it.

I should hate this, this is very similar to the style of modern country that I detest, but... I love it. Ugh.
I mean, I've always loved Sam Hunt and his voice, so that helps too, but this song is a total ear worm. Even though I might have some issues with the production and the bro-esque elements in the vocal arrangement and instrumentation, it's overall a very pleasant and enjoyable listen for me. A huge step up from BLABR and DD. Sounds like a hit too.

This is a pleasant listen but doesn’t showcase any progress from ‘Montevallo’. Not bad but not massive either. The title line is the only one I remember as well.

I like this but I agree that it sounds like it came straight from the Montevallo sessions so it’ll be interesting to see how radio responds to it 5 years past that era.

I am the type who dislike San Hunt songs - just that they were not relatable and connect with me. All of his including BLABR which I really hate but this one, such an earworm and really diggin in upon first listen. Agreed with someone's post, that last 30 sec with rapid fire banjo is 🔥🔥

Up to #2 on iTunes US and #1 on the "Hot Country" playlist on Spotify (aka the biggest country playlist there).

Sam's been one of my favourites since I first heard "Leave The Night On", and this one is no exception. I hope it's massive, and returns him to the top of the charts in a big way.

I like Sam Hunt except for a few misses. This one is middle of the road for me, but I do see it being a big radio hit for him. Overall, it's OK.

I’m so glad this debuted well! I think this will be pretty big for Sam Hunt.

I don’t really see the universal optimism for this one that you guys have. Musically it has a very similar taste to “Downtown’s Dead” and lyrically it is essentially just a combination of Chris Lane’s last two singles.

Yeah, this sounds nice enough, but it doesn't even touch the greatness (for me) of his songs from Montevallo.

This is alright, but I think I prefer almost all his previous singles.

He is very drunk in that picture, and driving the wrong way down the expressway is dangerous stuff. Very lucky he was pulled over and did not cause harm or loss of life to himself or others.
Hopefully he learns from this mistake.
