This song jumped to #42 on the rolling chart on today's Mediabase update. It's going to be interesting to see how high this actually debuts. I'm going to enjoy this week because we all know what happens once this deal ends.

I really like this. Definitely some tempo-fluff, but out of all the songs released so far, this was definitely the right call for radio. Just a feel-good, simple song. It’s got that bar band jam vibe that made them famous 25 years ago. Darius sounds really good and I like his delivery. The guitars sound good too. Curious as to how high it can get on radio.

This song jumped to #42 on the rolling chart on today's Mediabase update. It's going to be interesting to see how high this actually debuts. I'm going to enjoy this week because we all know what happens once this deal ends. It was somewhere in the 50's and jumped up to #42 today. Essentially, debuts like this (Thursday at 5 p.m.) get roughly 24 hours of hourly airplay on iHeartMedia stations. "I Don't Know About You" will go recurrent tomorrow and that means all this one has to do is pass one more song by tomorrow's final update to debut top 40 on Mediabase. It'll debut higher on Billboard -- likely top 30. We've never seen a Hootie & the Blowfish single at country radio, so we'll see how much higher this gets. It'll see a brutal 8th and 9th day update though and I wouldn't be surprised if it never recovers and its debut is its peak. I know Darius will be back with new solo music in 2020 and Hootie's album drops in November, so I'm not sure if Capitol Nashville has plans to push this through the holidays and well into 2020.

This is solid. The chorus is a bit weak to me though. Should be a hit. Today's country = 90's rock lol

This is really bland. It'll be interesting to see how this does on radio. Some of country radio's audience used to listen to Hootie and like their songs. My mom enjoyed hearing them back on the radio. This may not connect super well with country radio listeners, but it'll do what the label needs it to do: promoting the album. Maybe a top 15 peak.

Only gave it on listen so far, but I was really underwhelmed, and I tend to like Darius' country singles about 75% of the time. Not a big fan of him overall, but he's usually fairly reliable and has one of the stronger voices on the male side of the country spectrum imo. My initial reaction this was that it felt pretty meh though. Glad to hear that he's apparently working on returning with some solo country material in 2020, because I was thinking the Hootie reunion might be more of a replacement to that than a temporary deviation, so that's good news.

I'm liking this on repeated listens very nostalgic track which harks back to their 90's hits
Can see it going top 10

already dropped out of the top 50 ? Today, it's at #49 on the Mediabase rolling chart. "Hold On" suffered both an 8th and 9th day hangover from its Thursday evening hourly debut (the 17th) and its hourly debut during the first part of Friday (the 18th). That's the side-effect for hourly debuts -- once the song clears that first week, those hourly debut spins are no longer reflected in the seven-day bullet, so you see massive losses in spins and audience.

Hopefully this can rebound and have a nice run. I don't expect it to get to #1 or anything but it would be nice to see it have some success. I said it earlier and i'll say it again...this is a way better listen on country radio than having Bieber infecting the country airwaves, thats for sure.

I loved Hootie when they were big back in the mid 90's. This song is so good and better than the Trent Harmon version. I hope this is a #1 single for them.

If Hootie started out today, they’d be 100% country. If anything, Nashville has moved toward the 90’s bar band type of sound.
I hope they send out “Miss California” out too. That’s the real hit on the record.

The album is predicted to have around 15,000 pure sales and 17,000 SPS.
