Does this guy realize he’s 43? Him and Garth are the college graduates who still go to high school parties. Grow up. Be artists. Show growth.

Does this guy realize he’s 43? Him and Garth are the college graduates who still go to high school parties. Grow up. Be artists. Show growth. Why? What if this is the music he wants to make? Why does he (or anyone for that matter) need to change it? Yeah, I’m all for artists who grow and evolve but have no problems with artists who find their niche and stick with it. Can’t deal with that? Then you should, “Grow up. Show growth,”

And so is the soon-to-be-30-year-old Taylor Swift, and she loves it. I love it too. I can understand wanting a bit more creativity, but no story is ever truly original. It's how you tell it that makes it your own. And if it makes them happy, and they love the music and are proud of their music, then I am absolutely here for it. Also I saw no high schoolers in the music video

Entered the Billboard Top 20 last week and tonight Luke Bryan enters the Top 20 on Mediabase as "What She Wants Tonight" moves up six spots to #17 and a bullet over 400. Definitely seems like this song is moving at a faster clip than "Knockin Boots"
Also I am just gonna say I actually kind of like this song, maybe it's the fact that Luke Bryan sounds comfortable and the melody is pretty catchy. Also, because it does not sound as hokey as "Knockin Boots".

Also I saw no high schoolers in the music video I certainly see both sides to the argument. I think what we should gather from songs like these is that not everyone is trying to be Picasso, and that even the ones that are sometimes feeling a little more free of themselves and want to break free. If you want to look at it like he should be Picasso (and honestly Luke definitely has some beautiful hits that would allow one to feel a need for such a benchmark), then yeah this song should disappoint. It's pretty generic and so many songs talk about "hands on my body," "drink every drop," and "she gets what she wants." If you want to look at Luke as an artist you love to casually listen and jam out to, this is another one added to the list. You are the kind of person that believes an artist can make music that makes them happy at that time even if they have the potential for more. It's the equivalent of letting a student express their creative side while sacrificing the logical side. I think both perspectives are slightly flawed and that we as humans and expressive artists are so much more complex than that. You don't simply teach a student logic without some creativity. In other words, Luke Bryan shouldn't always be compared to the best of his best, nor should he always be thought of as the lazy lyric guy that is fun and good at performing. Sometimes the point is just to have fun. Write what you want. But the point in the end is, though you may never lose your childish self, you do in fact "grow up." You do write those songs that are heart wrenching, heartwarming, or just continuously exemplify maturity and genius within one's own music and lyrics. Whether Luke Bryan is a man-child that only shows glimpses of maturity or one who is having fun but ultimately is mature enough to be taken seriously is up to the listener. The fact that these both of these perspectives are both so popular simply reveals the notion of what we knew all along: he is one of the most polarizing country artists of this generation.

This is the best single he's released in years. It wasn't a hard list to top though.

Luke Bryan is expected to go on tour this summer with Morgan Wallen, Runaway June, and Caylee Hammack (Caylee Hammack on the first half of dates and Runaway June on the latter half I think)

Luke Bryan did NOT just tag the wrong Caylee Hammack account... It seems like it is her by the Tweets! Maybe she had another account but deleted it at some point.

Anyone else absolutely cringe at his attempted high notes/falsetto on this? The one during the first verse is particularly awful. Ruins what minor interest I may have had in the song. "Knockin' Boots" got old fast, but it was better than this.

"Knockin' Boots" got old fast, but it was better than this. The falsetto at the end of the song is one of the most unpleasant things I’ve heard in a song recently. Definitely cringeworthy. I may be in the minority here but I think this is worse than songs like “Knockin’ Boots” or “That’s My Kind of Night”, which are at least sonically interesting and amusing even with bad lyrics. This song is not creative in any way to me. The songwriting reminds me of what would happen if a student came unprepared to a songwriting class and wrote something at his or her desk for 10 minutes before getting called upon.

I loathe "That's My Kind of Night," but I 100% agree with the rest of this. "What She Wants Tonight" is just such a lame song. The lyrics, production, everything is just so weak, and his vocal performance is like... hilariously bad. Those tragic falsetto attempts leave me legit questioning how the song left the cutting room floor sounding like that, lol.

I agree and I don’t think you are in the minority. Songs like “That’s My Kind of Night” and “Home Alone Tonight,” while bad, at least have a pleasing melody or some kind of relatable imagery. This is just downright garbage in almost every aspect that you can define a song. The other thing that blows my mind is that Luke keeps singing about “clubs” while I’d venture to guess that 90% of his listening audience has no clubs within 50 miles of them. It’s like he tries to be cool but doesn’t know how. He doesn’t need to be. Just sing.

Obviously this song should hit #1 on both charts. Also I really hope the label goes for "One Margarita" as the next single as it has sold very well since being released and is the perfect summer single, than and I am not going to lie it is very catchy.
Here's the song since no one posted it btw.

I’ve always liked this song more than it seems like others on here do but “One Margarita” is better than both this and “Knockin’ Boots”. I hope it is next!

Is this the first time 2 singles have hit #1 before an album was released?

Coming from Cody Jinks, Tyler Childers or Turnpike Troubadours this is kinda funny.
