Honestly, it's sad that Drake is not credited on SICKO MODE...his biggest hit and he's not credited.

How do you know? It doesn't show up on Miley's page. Just an estimation I'd be surprised if it wasn't in the top 25, I can tell you that much.

How would these already show, given the 2010s charts aren't done yet? Apparently they stopped on the week of Sept. 28, 2019 Weird. Oh well, I don't have much stakes in the decade-end list, not a fan of most of the top artists.

What's the #100 song? If it's not Teenage Dream, Just Give Me A Reason, Set Fire To The Rain, Truth Hurts, Shut Up And Dance, OMG, Starboy, Stressed Out, Lights, Stitches, Starships, Gangnam Style and Good Feeling.

I know Drake hates doing interviews, but I really hope he gave Billboard a cover story for this Artist of the Decade announcement since they've known he was gonna win for months.

God's Plan spent more weeks at #1, has been streamed more times, sold more digital single copies, and is certified higher than Sicko Mode. Surely, you knew what I meant when I said it wasn't his biggest hit.

I doubt they’d do that to be honest! They didn’t when Mariah Carey won AOTD in the 90’s, or with Eminem in the 00’s. That said, it’s the 2010’s and things have changed completely. Billboard just releases the lists for the fans and goes about their day. If anything, Swift seems like the person to perhaps give an interview. Drake, Rihanna, Bruno.M, Adele etc. could care less! 😂

If Apple Music and Spotify release decend-end lists for artists, Drake will top those also, easily. I'd like to see Apple Music's decade-end list for albums.

I'm holding out hope because he extends a leaf branch to them by attending the BBMAs and they could use that relationship to ask him for a magazine cover. Drake fans don't get to read interviews and this is as good a moment to do one.

I guess Billboard didn't do a Canadian Hot 100 decade chart?

Also, is the airplay chart based on audience impressions?
I'm amazed at how high "Blank Space" is - it became her biggest airplay hit (although "You Belong With Me" is probably her biggest - just got caught between two decades)

For instance, Alessia Cara's "Scars To Your Beautiful" only peaked at #8 on the Hot 100, but managed to make the decade radio chart at #41 because it was still a huge radio hit - spending 4 weeks at #2 and 25 weeks in the top 10.

Are you sure it's not just entirely based on Radio Songs Chart positions? And yeah, You Belong With Me should still be her song with the most cumulative audience. I think Blank Space is closing the gap thanks to higher recurrent airplay but I'm not sure if it'll ever fully catch up. After those two, Love Story is #3, and #4 is probably either Shake It Off or Style or possibly even Delicate.

Are you sure it's not just entirely based on Radio Songs Chart positions? I'm definitely not 100% sure, but it would make the most sense to me. Especially since the digital songs list isn't based on song sales of the decade, if that were the case "Perfect" wouldn't be #1.

It can’t be based on real sales.
Keep in mind how well the digital market was doing in the first half. No way this is about numbers. Then again, it’s not like Perfect topped Digital Songs for a record 17 weeks either...

These charts are entirely based on chart position using the inverse formula.

Billboard are obviously using an inverse point system to calculate the top ‘Radio’ songs and obviously not listener impressions. (How would they even calculate the latter when most of these songs are still receiving big recurrent airplay irrespective of their peaks?)
That explains why “Girls Like You” and “High Hopes” are in the top ten, at number #2 and #8 respectively, when both songs have the lowest peak AI total compared to other songs in the top ten (and even some in the top twenty) through both Nielsen BDS and Mediabase.
That said, they’re both two of the top five longest running number one radio songs of the decade and both spent well over two dozen weeks in the top ten etc.
👌🏿
