Didn't it only chart because YT preroll ads were still counted toward the Hot 100 at the time and it was in a car commercial or something?

That was pretty surprising, yes. Same with Marilyn Manson, given how huge he was in pop culture.

Through Glass peaked at 39 and Bother peaked at 56

Of note is that Judy Garland did have hits on pre-Hot 100 Billboard charts. As an aside, she's currently charting on the Dance Club Songs chart. :)
