Ugh. "Bad Boy" was the obvious pick for the next single but they pick this garbage.

I thought the flop on chart that is We Back would tell him otherwise...

You’ve got to be kidding.
There’s 5-6 damn good radio tracks on this album and he picks THIS. Arguably the worst song he’s ever made. His radio career might be over. Fire’t Up will be to him with Houser’s “Fired Up” album was. The end.

Yikes, what a horrible choice. These type of songs simply just aren’t popular right now. This is fine for a show opener at his concerts, but nobody wants to hear this on the radio a million times. Big mistake passing on “Bad Boy”, that was the lone song on the album I could have seen becoming a big hit.

Even if they didn’t want to go “Bad Boy” they could’ve gone with “Tough Town” or “Laid Back Ride” for radio.

I’d be shocked to see “Bad Boy” as a single. It’s probably gonna be one of those songs that gets missed out on as a single. This doesn’t surprise me that it’s the second single. Although I was leaning more towards “Not Like Us” being next if they went with a upbeat song. I figure this era will only go 3 singles deep with “She Ain’t Home” being my choice for the final single.

Got to the end of the first chorus and mentally checked out for a bit. "Country queens do ya thing"?!?!!? LMAO Brantley! Bro-country is dead sir. Maddie & Tae ended y'all over 5 years ago. Speaking for women: we country queens will not do our "thing" to please your sex drive. You wanna see us do our "thing" ya might as well close your eyes and use your imagination because that's the only way you're gonna see it. My God, everything including the title (how cookie-cutter can you possibly get? Not to mention it's just awkward sounding and I bet radio DJs are gonna have a wonderful time trying to say it Fire't Up) is utter trash. So many far better options for the second single and the label went with this? lol. But he'll go straight to #1 anyway yeah that's right, I waved that flag. This song deserves that flag. Yikes all around. I CAN'T at this following the incredible WHIAST

It’s a shame because I really like BG. Great writer who’s got plenty of great material.
Sending songs like Fire’t Up, The Weekend, and Small Town Throwdown to radio instead of songs like 17 Again, Halfway To Heaven, Bad Boy are what ultimately ended his A-list chances

Since lyrics and melodys are what I gravitate towards first it’s always a shame to see someone who has the talent for really great stuff waste it on songs like this.

Lol, wow this song sounds like a Brantley Gilbert parody. It's so cliched and been-there-done-that for him, and he has such low momentum after the weak performance of his last album. I'm surprised radio let his last single climb all the way to the top of the charts with how poorly it moved the needle, but I don't see "Fire't Up" being much of a hit for him. His single choices really hold him back as others have mentioned upthread. He looked poised to become one of the biggest players in the genre around the time "Bottoms Up" was hitting it big, but instead he's been on a steady decline after that. He clearly still has a sizable fanbase that will allow him to keep being a strong touring draw, but he's stopped winning over casual listeners.

I can't with the title. So grammatically incorrect that it sounds like a big fat nope from me even before listening to it.

Ugh. "Bad Boy" was the obvious pick for the next single but they pick this garbage. That can be single #3. I wanted him to go with something more upbeat and 'rock' this time around, but "Fire't Up" wasn't what I was looking for. I like it okay, it's catchy as an album track but only an album track. I wanted "Not Like Us" or "Breaks Down" as the next single, and then "Bad Boy" after that.

Look how long the 2 singles took from his last album I definitely think it could depending on how long the chart run for “Fire’t Up” is and how long it will be after that until he releases the lead single from his next album. I could see a 3rd single released as a way for him to have something at radio while he works on new music.

A 3rd single is not guaranteed though, especially when your radio friendly lead single took almost a year to peak. His momentum and place at radio is a little shaky, which is why its nonsense to release an aggressive and brass rumble of a song that radio will be hesitant to play. "Bad Boy" is the most streamed non-single song on the album, is original for Brantley, and actually seems radio friendly. It makes no sense to pass on it at this point in time.

Yeah I mean I could see Fire’t Up failing to hit the top 30. I’ll be floored if it makes any kind of dent on the charts. It’s just a horrible song.

Second most added song this week with 29 adds. Solid but modest start, if this song is going to be a hit it will probably have to be a marathon chart run like usual.

29 adds for a Brantley song to start off with is pretty abysmal. I already envisioned this one struggling, but now I'm feeling like that's even more likely now seeing the tepid start from radio to add it.

If this one makes the top 20 I’ll be shocked. I think a top 30 peak is stretching it. Terrible choice for a single.

If this fails they deserve 100% of the blame. It’s not radio friendly, and certainly not good. Like “Bad Boy” feels like a hit, and even like “Never Gonna Be Alone” could have done ok. This is maybe the worst possible choice and I hope it flames out fast enough for them to correct their error.

Enters the Mediabase Top 50 at #50 with gaining 35 spins.
This song is honestly doing better than I expected so far since it has made it as high as #44 on Billboard in 12 weeks which is not a bad pace to be at. Very interested to see how high Valory is able to get this song.

If this song even hits Top 30 I think I'll probably be physically sick. What a god-awful song and absolutely terrible single choice.

Like I myself don't really care for this song, but if this song turns into a minor hit, I am not gonna dwell on it and let it ruin my mood.

I was being facetious which I thought could be read but go off I guess? I know for a fact that he's gonna probably hit the top 30 (which is why I could care less about country radio anymore) and I'm not gonna like it at all because imo the song isn't even deserving of Top 50 but it's not like I'm gonna run to my mom and cry like a little kid.

I didn't say you said that though, that was an example of a song's placement on the charts ruining my mood. Anyways the song is likely going to do a bit well for him. Not like the last single but probably somewhere between Top 10-30.
