Yes! This is the right choice. It’s something different and unique from them but sounds a lot safer for radio than “Mr. Lonely”. I can see this one doing better in the callout scores. I absolutely love this song and the chorus is just so infectious.

I love this. Probably my favorite song by them to date.

Good choice, but I would have preferred “Put the Hurt on Me”.

It sounds exactly like that gosh darn song. Been bothering me since the day it was released. I wanted Put The Hurt On Me or Fast Hearts and Slow Towns. Playboys. Lot of better choices

I really wanted Playboys, but I'm okay with this.

Good choice, but I would have preferred “Put the Hurt on Me”. Yeah, this is where I'm at. That's the smash of the album. This is a good choice though. It's catchier than anything they've released since Drinkin' Problem. If radio is willing to play them, then this should do just fine.

Easily their best single since their debut. Great choice.

Love this song!
The fact is, when you have an album full of great single-worthy songs, it's really hard to make a bad choice lol

Absolutely love this song lately; this was definitely a great choice and I'm glad to see it hit Top 40 on Country Airplay.

This looks like it's gonna be another one of them should be top 10 songs that's only gonna peak in the 20-30 range. I feel like these guys, Brothers Osborne and Ashley McBryde are under appreciated by country radio.

I feel like these guys, Brothers Osborne and Ashley McBryde are under appreciated by country radio. If it does, it'll be because of poor testing and interest from the general public, because country radio actually seems to love these guys. This song got into the top 40 in only a couple weeks, so it actually got off the ground pretty damn fast. It seems to have slowed down in the past few weeks though and it remains to be seen how high it gets, but I feel like this song would go over a helluva lot better than the lead single did, so I'd say give it time.

Officially Top 40 on Mediabase as Midland moves up 5 spots to #36 which means "Cheatin Songs" should get CT40 spins this upcoming weekend which is a nice boost for this song.
This song is actually done pretty well, making the Top 40 less than a few months after going for adds, country radio loves Midland so much on impulse, their problem unfortunately is that due to how traditional their music is, they are more prone to terrible callout scores which limits how high they can peak, but this song is off to a very solid start.

Little under 2 months later and this is now in the Mediabase Top 30 at #29 which means CCUSA spins in a couple of weeks which should be a nice boost. Unfortunately Midland has a pretty mediocre bullet at a meek 31, which besides Eric Church "Monsters" (which looks to be in freefall) is the lowest bullet in the songs below the Top 10.

Surprised this one did worse than "Mr. Lonely." It sounded a lot more radio-friendly than that one. That said, radio seems to take to most of their songs fairly quickly out of the gate and then they slow down probably due to poor testing and a lack of commercial impact. I wonder what their next move will be, because I think they need another high-impact release like their debut hit soon or they might be in trouble.

They released a new, stripped down version last week.
