Got a good laugh when this song was introduced on Big Time With Whitney Allen and they just said HARDY & Lauren Alaina with absolute zero mention of Devin Dawson, which is understandable since it is very hard to hear Devin Dawson on the song where as Lauren Alaina is much more distinguished backing vocalist (helps she is the lone female). I honestly have no idea what Devin even sings on the song.

genius.com/Hardy-one-beer-lyricsAccording to this, he sings the 2nd verse. I don't know if that's correct because I don't even know how he voice sounds like. But there's a complete breakdown of who sings each part, including the background vocals so I think it might be right.

This one seems to really be hitting a stride right now as it closes in on the top 20. It always looked like it was destined to be a pretty big hit, but its radio gains were very hot and cold for awhile despite it always looking like a pretty high-impact single (strong streams/sales position outpacing its airplay #s). It seems like its starting to take off more like a major hit now on radio looking at its current bullet on MB (375).

Talk about the surprise of the year for me at least, considering how much i absolutely despised rednecker, but this has grown on me to the point where its become one of my favorite singles of 2020.

This song is going to be a pretty big hit and probably will put Hardy on the map. His tracks sell and stream well so his follow up may do well too. Good for him. Don’t think he has the best voice but he’s a damn good writer and that’s half the battle lol. Expect to hear a lot from him.

It’s funny that both Lauren Alaina hit collaborations were the first radio hits of the main artists. Kane Brown always had a huge fan base and songs that connected well, but he only got a radio hit (that ended up being one of the biggest country hits of the decade) with “What Ifs” after a few failed singles. And now Hardy is getting a hit for the first time with a Lauren collaboration as well.
Just wish radio would get hits out of nowhere for her career as well...

Both radio singles mentioned above are huge hits, and the streaming for "Thinkin' Bout You" with Dustin Lynch, "Town Ain't Big Enough" with Chris Young, and "Are You Happy Now?" with Rascall Flatts speak for themselves. And, agreed.

HARDY’s first official full-length “A ROCK” dropped on Friday. I’m a rock guy at heart so I’m loving his country songwriting combined with the rock based production courtesy of Joey Moi(this is right in his wheelhouse).
As far as other singles are concerned, I could see “Boyfriend” working at radio. I really want “Give Heaven Some Hell” to be a single but idk if radio could fully embrace it with the title(though you need to listen to the hook once to get it). Other than that it’s a solid listen all the way through and I’ll be a fan of his for a long time.

Definitely hoping "A ROCK" will be the next single. Love the song, but you think it would work? It’s most likely going to be “Boyfriend” though “Give Heaven Some Hell” is the best song on the album imo and would be huge if radio doesn’t mind hell being in the hook.

Kinda surprised this has poor callout (third lowest net positive). It did break him out so good for him I guess.

This song is still being promoted so #1 is not out of the realm of possibility.

His album debuted at #4 on the Country Albums chart. Hoping this gets to number 1 so they can release “Give Heaven Some Hell” as a single; such a great song.

His album is hanging in there on the country album charts Top 10 as well. I have to give their label Big Loud props; they know how to find solid songwriters and market them to the masses as big acts.

Is this song still climbing?

Is this song still climbing? There’s a thread for daily Mediabase updates stickied at the top of this forum. I suggest taking a look at it, as it’s a great resource and you won’t have to be constantly asking this same question anymore... I don’t know if you know this already, but you can tell if a song is climbing by looking at the bullet (positive means it is climbing).

I'm excited for this to hit #1 and get Lauren and Devin another chart topper (and HARDY his first). I really hated "Rednecker" and I find this song catchy but just okay -- but HARDY's album is absolutely great. So many great singles to come from that project, I hope. Mix the great energy of Luke Combs with just stellar songwriting and you get HARDY.
"A Rock" is excellent along with "Boyfriend" and "Boots".

Interesting to see if this can pull off #1. I love all three artists so I'm rooting for it.
I also randomly stumbled upon this entire concert on YouTube and assumed it was pre-COVID times, but I saw the bodyguards wearing masks. Since when are we having unmasked indoor concerts? Are people insane?

This song is just sort of there for me, I’m very indifferent on it, but seeing Lauren earn another hit always makes me happy.

I won't be upset if this hits #1 because it gets Lauren Alaina another #1 on the charts (and technically Devin Dawson also gets his first, who I love but tbh I can't hear him on the song so it really just feels like Hardy f/ Lauren when this comes on radio), but man, I just can't stand this awful song, and so far I don't feel very enthused with Hardy potentially blowing up at the format based on the few songs I've heard from him (all mediocre, as is his voice). Meh.

Like this song really different idea. But Hardy cannot sing. In person he is awful. Lauren is the only thing that lefts this song to a hit IMO. Hope they get the number 1.

1st Career Number One single for HARDY:
1 HARDY One Beer f/L. Alaina/D. Dawson 8003 7396 607 43.78
When I first listened to him; I wasn't a big fan of his voice, but he's a great songwriter and the rock fan in me loves that influence throughout his debut album. Really hope "Give Heaven Some Hell" gets a chance on radio because that is the jam of the album. Well deserved Number one for all the artists involved on this one.

This song failed to hit my top 25 before it started falling and left the chart after 23 weeks. I am not a fan of these types of songs.
