It’s like he wants to kill his radio career...

Well there goes the rest of Tim McGraw's radio career, doubt this makes the Top 30. I don't hate this song like a lot of people, but it is pretty mind numbing stupid.

I’m afraid Tim is at that point in his career now where radio is over him. Radio would rather play the newer generation of acts than a more established artist anymore. It seems when they get to age 50 Radio is through with them. Tim was 49 when Humble And Kind his last #1 single topped the charts. The only exceptions to having a #1 solo hit over 50 in the airplay era that I can think of are George Strait, Kenny Rogers and Reba. Before the airplay era in the 80’s that’s a different story.

Welp. RIP Tim McGraw. Ya had a good run.
I'm just ready for Faith Hill to get back in the studio.

Well.... it has a great beat. That's about all it has going for it, and I can't believe this is going to country radio lol. I'm not at all upset to see Tim's radio career end, but I am shocked with his blatant disregard on preserving it lol.

This release wouldn't surprise me in 2014 but I thought we were over these kind of tracks, if I'm being honest. The lyrical content and beat are certainly cringe-worthy.

So disappointing. When this was first made available to listen to, I thought it was pretty bad, but was optimistic when no single announcement was made at the time. I'm really disappointed that they waited this long to now release this anyway. I can't see this being successful at all and, at this stage of his career, he may not be able to bounce back from a bomb like this at radio.

What a joke. This song is absolutely horrendous. Also, why does the label keep releasing songs that have been available to download for months and months? They did it with "Thought About You" and now they're doing it again with this trash song. Going with something that hasn't been heard yet would have a much better shot at being successful. I'm completely flabbergasted, so incredibly disappointing.

I had to bail out of this dreck after the first verse; I never thought he'd release a single so bad that it makes 'Truck Yeah' or 'It's A Business Doing Pleasure With You' sound like masterpieces by comparison.
Going from the most played artist on US radio from 2000-2009 (congrats to Luke Bryan on succeeding him) to this excruciating mess is really disheartening, and I agree with previous sentiments expressed on this and other threads on this board that he's done at country radio.
I have no idea who wrote this but Tim has no business putting his voice and singing skills to a dismal pile of crap like this.

I couldn't even finish this song...that's bad. What an absolutely horrendous song from every angle. HARD pass. If I end up reviewing this in the Pulse Monthly (assuming lady𝓐fan will be cruel enough to make me listen to it again lol) it will 100% receive an F grade. And this is Tim McGraw His radio career is officially over and Faith Hill oughta come out with Album 9 soon. I miss her voice (and it's only been 2 years since new music)

I have no idea who wrote this but Tim has no business putting his voice and singing skills to a dismal pile of crap like this. It was written by Craig Wiseman, Shy Carter, and Tommy Cecil. And Tim McGraw co-produced it with Byron Gallimore.

The lyrics are horrendous, lazy. I'm disappointed to see Craig Wiseman's name on it.

This thread has had me scared to listen to this and I finally did... Hideous.
We need to mass tweet Tim and tell him not to release this steaming pile of dog shit.

I haven't listened to this song yet, but this is scaring me for real... how bad could it be?
*listens*
Ok... I'm going to be honest. I don't think it's as bad as some of y'all are talking about this song. Now it's still REALLY bad. Would I listen to "Truck Yeah" or "Lookin' for That Girl" over this? Hmm I actually don't know, lol.
But seriously, I don't get why Tim's team continues to make the same mistakes of picking wrong singles. He's at a point where he can't afford to do that anymore - "Thought About You" must've suffered a bit from "Neon Church" too but at least "Neon Church" was decent. This is just actively trying to tank his career...

This for one, Hell Right for another, and my guess is they won't be the only ones. I mean it's not even a new thing, I'm just saying we're going to see another spike in artists trying it.

In fact isn't there a line in Hell Right that shades Old Town Road? As for Way Down, Keith Urban did collab with Shy Carter in Ripcord so it is not that new. And you didn't say the obvious answer which is The Git Up.

"Hell Right" sounds much more like a retread of Blake's own songs like "Hillbilly Bone" and "Boys Round Here" from years ago, long before "Old Town Road" was ever a thing.

This won't do much on radio, but Tim's career was already over before this. Since he signed with Sony and released "Speak to a Girl," he's been struggling to maintain consistent airplay. By this point, I guess they're just releasing whatever they feel will incite the most consumer response.

Lol @ people saying Tim's career is over. Maybe from radio. But his whole career? Give me a break.
I don't like this song. But with that said, Tim has been chugging out radio hits since I was in middle school! And I am almost 40 now. If he wants to try to do something out of the box, more power to him. He has given us so many classic songs I can forgive him.

I'm with you matty005. Many artists from the last 30 years faded away from radio but still put out great music. Mark Chesnutt for one. Tim will be just fine regardless of radio.

Of course, I actually like this. It's catchy, and that's really all that matters. I doubt it'll make the top 30, though. As for Tim's radio career, it was already over anyway.

I’m pretty sure those are just tour stops, since they’re coordinates.
