Oh this sounds AMAZING. I’m perched for it! Definitely hope this strikes big for him and gives him some momentum back.

Plus that was probably the only other radio friendly option off his album. This is an awesome blend of what he does best though and if his label and radio support this one; he’ll be set.

He tweeted this a while ago.
So the Country Aircheck Summer Special is a lie and it should have said early August.

Probably because they deliberately left his most radio-friendly song to date ("Young Man's Blues") off his debut album for some dumb reason. 🥴 Everything I've heard from outside of YMB has been largely underwhelming. Hope his music will improve if he's going to be one of the ones who sticks around.

Definitely curious to hear how he balances what his original fanbase enjoys while getting hits on the radio. This latest single sounds like they found that balance.

Best thing I've heard from him since YMB, easily. This is actually... really damn good. I'm impressed. It's got a strong melody and the traditional flourishes to the production are a style that I'm glad he leaned into. It's definitely the direction he needs to go musically imo.
Also, I'm fucking living for this line:
I tell myself that I should quit But I don't listen to drunks

This is really good. The chorus melody is fantastic, and the production is on the traditional side, which I would be looking for in a Texas country originated artist, like Parker. His best radio single so far, and I hope this smashes. This jam totally deserves to have more impactful chart run than the last two singles.

Yeah I agree this is really good, and the first single from him I have enjoyed. I could see George Strait singing this.

In fact, I’d go as far as to say the King would be proud. This song is utterly fantastic. Parker’s vocal is quite solid (as his vocals tend to be imo), and the melody and production are simply to die for. If you ask me, this song has the same thing that “Young Man’s Blues” had: everything it takes to be a #1 hit. It’s been too long since “Pretty Heart,” so I really hope this one sticks around long enough to find solid ground at the format and take him to the top again.

Most added with 49 adds this week (55 total historic adds).
Edit: Debut at #51 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart.

Very happy to see this off to a strong start. It's got such a great throw back sound and yet feels really fresh! The 90's style wave coming in is wonderful to hear, I hope it becomes even stronger going forward and this songs reception shows promise of that possibility!

This is outstanding in many ways. I didn’t hate his other singles, but I didn’t seek them out. They were enjoyable.
But this is next level good. I hope this is indicative of what he is going to release going forward. Does anyone know if this got some sort of very small release airplay deal? It rocketed up into the MB top 50 and has a huge bullet right now.

This is taking off like a major hit so far. I’m so glad to see it. I’m very excited to see how the chart run for this one unfolds, and I’m intrigued to see if the success of this song leads to Parker’s next full-length studio effort. An entire record from him in this vein would be to die for.

I liked this from the start but it’s grown on me even more now and I can’t wait for this to hopefully become a big hit. Though I can’t help but feeling pissed off after reading that Jon Randall ditched the fiddle that was in the demo Parker gave him lol

Doubt "Stoned" gets sent to radio but it would be awesome if it did because man it is a good song.
This ("Handle On You") should become Parker McCollum's third Top 20 hit on Mediabase gaining 331 spins and nearly 1600k in audience. This song is only 17 weeks old but is already at or near the Top 20, definitely look for this to be a future #1 hit and I definitely think it could be his biggest hit.

Debut at #69 on Hot 100 this week. Interestingly it's only #19 on Hot Country Songs chart.

Just heard this for the first time today, and it is mind-blowing. Best thing he has released in my opinion, and might be the best song on country radio right now. Rooting for it to be a smash. Shame they took the fiddle off of it though, this idea that country music should not have a fiddle in it to be successful today has sicken me.
