Side-eyeing a few of these "Oochie Wally" top 25 rankings from people who regularly tank high-quality hip hop in other rankdowns...

Mystikal screaming like he was about to get run over by a speeding truck was definitely a memorable sound from this list.

When I was doing this rankdown, I accidentally listened to this song first and ranked this, then realized my mistake before submitting and listened to the right one. Regardless, both of them would have probably been around the same spot on my ranks, so it wouldn't really have made a difference.

Fitting #50 I guess, Aaron's kid pop era is ehh... whatever. Shame that he was already on the slippery slope when he released his 'Love' album from 2018, 'cause his music at the time was pretty decent ('Sooner Or Later' should've been the launch pad for his career as an adult). But then he fell off the deep end.

I guess I can see why this isn't everyone's cup of tea. Some people can say it is boring, cheesy, but I love everything about it, especially the English version.

"Who Let the Dogs Out" being bottom ten and out before "Butterfly" would be is extremely disappointing. That being said, I don't particularly care for the verses, but the chorus is catchy and iconic.

I guess I'm not surprised. Maybe a little surprised that this is the highest SD. I mean I did think it would have a high SD but not the exact highest.

Haaaaaaaaaate 'Who Let The Dogs Out'. Good riddance. Mikaila deserved better though, her album sucked but that song is a teen pop bop with some nice remixes by Hex Hector and Jonathan Peters.

to put this fact into perspective, here are some other bands that formed in 1977, the same year that Baha Men did: Def Leppard Dire Straits The Human League INXS The Police Simple Minds Toto

Itβs that Rugrats In Paris nostalgia manβ¦.
Which begs to mind why they used it to promote that film, outside of how they were in every single kids movie soundtrack.

The chorus is nice, but the auto-tune in the rest of the song is just overbearing.

Surprised that Butterfly and I Like It escaped the bottom 10. Not disappointed though at those.
I am however surprised and disappointed that Get Over Yourself escaped the bottom 10.

Mikaila deserved better though, her album sucked but that song is a teen pop bop with some nice remixes by Hex Hector and Jonathan Peters. Loved both of those. The Cibola one was played as the single version in my market so that was what I knew for a while and then Hex and JP turned it out.

50. Aaron Carter - "Aaron's Party (Come Get It)": Aww at this being last but not totally surprised. This was my #39 so I thought this was a fun guilty pleasure song. I enjoyed this when I was younger but yeah I can get how this got 7 #50 rankings. 49. Billy Gilman - "One Voice:" Ooof the young boys are not doing well here. I'm kinda surprised I had this higher at #37 over the Aaron Carter song. This is objectively a better and more heartfelt song but I thought I was more familiar/liked Aaron's song more but oh well. Nice and pretty song but not one of my favorites. It's nice that he did so well on The Voice though he should have won over Sundance. 48. Drama - "Left, Right, Left:" Ooh I had this ranked at #47 so danggg I was just one spot off from a perfect rank. :'( This was okay. I like the chorus but his voice was harsh in a not so pleasant way for me. I can get how this got a lot of lower rankings. 47. J-Shin feat. LaTocha Scott - "One Night Stand:" Ahh darn, this was my #28, so kinda the first tough loss for me as I did really like this. :( I didn't really remember this when it was out but if I was more familiar with it, it would have been higher for me. Both vocalists were really good on this. Shocked that J-Shin released 15 albums. 46. Nas & Bravehearts - "Oochie Wally:" Ahh dang, this is an even harder loss as this was my #17. :( This is such a fun song and is one of my biggest guilty pleasures. I just love this song and it cracks me up. Yikes at the 4 #50s and all of those Bottom 5 rankings. Gahh I am not surprised. Also not surprised this has the 5th highest SD. I'm just glad it wasn't ranked lower as I saw this ranked lower in other rankdowns. 45. 504 Boyz - "Wobble Wobble:" Oooh this was my #35 so this was a song I did enjoy but it wasn't one of my top favorites. This was a song I forgot about but totally remember it back in the 2000s while re-listening to it. Fun rap song here. Oooof, yikes I did not know this stuff about C-Murder or Mystikal going back to jail... yikes, terrible. 44. Son by Four - "Purest of Pain:" This was my #36 and I thought this was a nice, pretty and enjoyable song. Not a huge favorite of mine but still a really nice and enjoyable track. 43. Baha Men - "Who Let the Dogs Out:" OMGG whoaa at someone losing their #1 and this song having both #1 and #50 ranks, as well as this being the highest SD. SO curious on what this could be. *looks* Oooh ok, it's "Who Let the Dogs Out." Ahh okay, I'm not too surprised that this was the most polarizing song as.... it always is that. Oh wow I forgot I ranked this as high as #20, lmao oops. But yeah I do love this song and think it's such a fun song. So I got no shame in liking this as much as I do, haha. 42. Mikaila - "So In Love with Two:" Ahh kinda sad to see my #26 showing up as this was a fun re-discovery. Really enjoyed this song. I forgot when this was out but this was a fun catchy cute pop song. I feel like she could have had potential to be a big (or at least mildly) successful pop star but guess it wasn't in the cards for her. 41. 3LW - "No More (Baby I'ma Do Right):" Awww noooo, I'm sad to see my #10 of this just missing out making the Top 40. :'( This was such a cutesy fun pop/R&B song from 3LW. I always remembered this when it was out and had such fond memories of this. Ooh yeah count me as one of those being surprised about Sammie's "I Like It" escaping the Top 10.

I donβt mind certain sex songs as raunchy as this, and yet this is still kinda uncomfortably gross, and it hurts that THIS was Nasβ peak at some point. Surprised this didn't get out of the bottom ten. Having grown up with 2 Live Crew, yes this takes it to a whole nother level. But it was catchy as hell and well produced. Once Sammie is out, my bottom five is cleared out. That doesn't typically happen this quickly in rankdowns.

The Cibola one was played as the single version in my market so that was what I knew for a while and then Hex and JP turned it out. I'm pretty sure I've heard the Cibola mix, don't remember caring too much for it. Also, have you heard the Ted The Dillinger remix? It was originally on a super rare vinyl promo until someone found and uploaded it to YouTube.
