My Thoughts: One of my favorite Mandopop songs, I discovered this randomly like 5-6 years ago and I ended up loving it and some other songs from Jolin. This is the first time I've ever included a Mandopop song and well I am not entirely surprised it didn't perform well, here's to hoping Magician by Lexie Liu does a much better job than this did lol. Congrats to Kyle on being the only one to get a perfect rank for the last place song!
My Thoughts: One of their classics, Mr. is such a fun bop but this marks the 2nd time KARA has been robbed in one of my rankdowns. Sorry for your loss fearlessarrow !
My Thoughts: A bit surprised this is so low, I thought it'd at least escape bottom 10. Anyways this is a bop, not as good as In For The Kill or Bulletproof but still good stuff.
My Thoughts: Definitely expected this to be all the way down here, anyways this is a bop and its a shame this and Long Way 2 Go did not be follow up hits to Me & U. I never really cared for Wayne's feature on the song tho to be completely honest but it doesn't really affect the song.
My Thoughts: I forgot where I heard this back in like 2009 but its a fun lil bop. Though I've in recent years discovered she has better songs (Stuck On Repeat and Face To Face) but the nostalgia is strong with this one.
My Thoughts: I discovered Esperanza after seeing she collaborated with Janelle MonΓ‘e on her song "Dorothy Dandridge Eyes" and ended up checking this song out among some others afterwards and I ended up liking it. She makes some very nice and chill vocal jazz R&B/pop music.
This reveal and the DOMi & JD BECK song in WTM Seed 4β¦
Iβm not familiar with Esperanza Spaldingβs catalog but βI Know You Know" is nearly mesmerizing.
I would definitely recommend checking out the rest of her self titled album where "I Know You Know" was pulled from, though all her albums of what I've heard are very consistent in quality so you could even start with her debut record Junjo.
My Thoughts: The way I discovered this because of Just Dance 2 over a decade ago truly is something ain't it. Anyways this is a fun electro banger and was robbed.
My Thoughts: I knew this song back when I was young but it took me forever to figure out who it was by and it happened to be by the 1 Thing songstress Amerie. This truly is a pinnacle 2000s R&B song, it just feels so nostalgic and happy. Alright that wraps up reveals for today, thank you for following along so far!
Digitalismβs Idealism is an album that I have listened to not long ago, and I feel like I havenβt spent enough time listening to more of this kind of 00s electro music that sounds refreshing compared to a bunch of recent EDM hit songs. I have at least listened to Boyz Noise and Justice.
Will's Top 10 28/4 1. Wave of Mutilation - Pixies 2. Sadness As A Gift - Adrianne Lenker 3. Gouge Away - Pixies 4. Going Underground - The Jam 5. When the Sun Hits - Slowdive 6. Alex Chilton - The Replacements 7. Like That - Future & Metro Boomin ft. Kendrick Lamar 8. Cinderella - Remi Wolf 9. Breed - Nirvana 10. Debaser - Pixies last.fm
I love that we are always finding ways to try to get someone to listen to our flop faves. No YOP thread, RT theme, or Games section stone will be left unturned in our mission to get somebody, anybody to validate our taste in music. That is when you know the love of the music is real. Like "LISTEN TO THESE SONGS THEY'RE GREAT DAMMIT PLEASE GIVE MY FAVES 0.0000002 CENTS ON SPOTIFY FOR THE LOVE OF GOD." It's the modus operandi of Pulse so much at this point.
My Thoughts: One of my favorites from MCR since I remember hearing it a lot since my brother was a fan of their stuff back then. Just a very vulnerable and somber song that tackles the subject matter well.

The way I completely missed the fact that the first set of reveals happened lol
Completely expected "Mr." to go out early but nostalgia + the recent reunion release from KARA left me with no other choice but to put "Mr." at #1. It was such an iconic moment. The song wasn't even a single from the album but became super popular overtaking the popularity of the actual single from the album "Wanna" and also became their debut song in Japan. The hip dance alone slays for days.
My Thoughts: Top 3 off it's parent album for me next to Overprotected and ofc I'm A Slave 4 U, the fact that this was a bonus edition track and has never even been performed live is a crime.
My Thoughts: I am a latecomer to her work outside of the iconic Murder On The Dance Floor but anywho this was an immediate favorite, I also just love the music video as well.
