It's wild to me that Fast Car still hasn't been officially released Last Night wasn't at first either. I know, but after 5 weeks on the chart, they had officially released it. Especially would have expected them to get on it already with how fast it’s climbing and how Sony said a few weeks ago they were intentionally going to push multiple songs at once

This climbs to #3 on Billboard, and #2 on Mediabase this week. Assuming it can outlast Jelly Roll and make it to #1 (on either chart), I think this would be the first case of an artist's lead single hitting #1 after the second single does.

0.219m audience difference betweem this and Need A Favor on Billboard's Country Airplay chart this week. Pretty confident that this can go to #1 next week.

Glad this is likely to reach #1 next week! As for the next single, I think he should go with “You Found Yours”, “Where The Wild Things Are”, or “See Me Now”.
“You Found Yours” is just such a joyful uptempo that will sound great in the fall/winter months.
“Where The Wild Things Are” is a fantastic story song! It isn’t a typical Luke Combs song but I think radio would embrace it (streaming is already strong).
“See Me Now” is sorta “Even Though I’m Leaving” but a few years later so it would be cool to have that be a single about 4 years later.

I’d be shocked if “5 Leaf Clover” isn’t the next single. It was almost the pick over this one.

5LC had its fun making it to the top 40 album release, but I hope they don't return back to it for a full-fledged single. One of the weaker cuts on the album imo, and he's got lots of great stuff on this record to choose from that would stack his career with better, diverse material.
I would love to see "Where the Wild Things Are," "See Me Now," and "Joe" all be singles at some point.

This is the most boring and tiring song I’ve heard from Luke. Agreed. "5 Leaf Clover" is the most creative hook I've heard from Luke. Its all around such a great song. LYA is a little sleepy to me, and after listening to it on the radio for a few months, I can't change the station fast enough. I wish they would have just leaned into "Fast Car" and pushed "5LC" as soon as it peaked personally. Really hope that one is on deck

I love “5 Leaf Clover” but I love “Where The Wild Things Are” more. So I hope it’s the next single.

Hope there will be a great story music video this era, and the plot for Where The Wild Things Are wrote itself.

While I love "5 Leaf Clover", I feel he's in dire need of an uptempo single so it can wait a little bit.

I love See Me Now and You Found Yours, so I would be happy if he ended up going with either of those. Definitely the highlights of the album to me. However, he did not include neither of those songs in his setlist in his tour, while Where The Wild Things Are was one of a few album tracks that were in the setlist, so my money is on that one. It is more up-tempo than many of his recent singles, and it has an interesting writing, so I would not complain with that choice either.

HeyHeyHey if this does reach #1 on Billboard this Friday it will be his 17th #1 and he will pass Carrie Underwood and Florida Georgia Line on the Country Airplay Most #1’s list.

Also "Fast Car" moves back up to #2 giving him 2 solo songs in the top 2. Has that ever happened before?

While not entirely the same thing, Luke Bryan was at #1 with Play It Again, while FGL’s duet with him This Is How We Roll was at #2. I think in modern chart history that’s the only time that’s happened, but this is a bit different as both songs are Luke Combs as opposed to one Luke Bryan song and another song featuring Luke Bryan

If I were to guess it did in the 50’s or 60’s. onebuffalo is an excellent person to ask this. I saw this question several hours ago at work. If you were to take a look at the number ones in country music, the last SOLO artist to replace themselves at the top would be Buck Owens with his double-sided hit, My Heart Skips A Beat/Together Again from 1964. Now, if a SOLO artist were to release a single and blocked themseves from the top since 1964, I do not recall. Here is a chart and TWO videos: BILLBOARD TOP TEN FOR WEEK ENDING JUNE 13, 1964: 1. TOGETHER AGAIN-BUCK OWENS-CAPITOL 2. MY HEART SKIPS A BEAT-BUCK OWENS-CAPITOL 3. Wine, Woman, And Song-Loretta Lynn-Decca 4. Burning Memories-Ray Price-Columbia 5. Keeping Up With The Joneses-Margie Singleton and Faron Young-Mercury 6. Understand Your Man-Johnny Cash-Columbia 7. Sorrow On The Rocks-Porter Wagoner-RCA 8. Love Is No Excuse-Jim Reeves and Dottie West-RCA 9. Memory #1-Webb Pierce-Decca 10. Baltimore-Sonny James-Capitol

"Where The Wild Things Are" is getting played on K102 a lot the last few days so I'm guessing that's the next single as they are usually a few weeks or so ahead on what comes out next. But they are also playing Old Dominion's "Ain't Got A Worry" so they're not always right on future singles.
