Interesting how she says the Bloom EP is the first half of the Bloom project, meaning we’re going to get even more Kimberly music later this year! LOVE Ghosts and Burn the House Down. She always delivers with the melodies and impeccable writing.

Incredible!!! Hopefully that’s a good sign of radio being willing to give this sequel song the matching #1 that it deserves. That’d be really cool to see.

This getting more adds than Luke Bryan is just unexpected and delightful. Great to see some hype for this out of the gate seeing as the majority of us assumed that if The Band Perry ever came back, they may not be received too well given their tumultuous downfall.

This getting more adds than Luke Bryan is just unexpected and delightful. Great to see some hype for this out of the gate seeing as the majority of us assumed that if The Band Perry ever came back, they may not be received too well given their tumultuous downfall. To be fair Luke Bryan's song goes for adds next week hence why it didn't get as much (45 adds by add week for an unheard Luke Bryan song less than a week ago would be a bit too low for him imo). I suspect that this week is an outlier when it comes to the two getting adds as Luke Bryan will probably have a faster start with his song when it's all said and done. I do agree there is some hype for this song and could see some success as I do think radio always liked The Band Perry to an extent, but the material after Pioneer was just not radio friendly at all ("Live Forever" and "Comeback Kid") and this song having a solid showing out of the gate I feel like is proof of that. However, I do have some reservations for this song moving forward as it getting 58 adds while good in theory feels off to me luckily this does have some buzz to it, so I feel a bit optimistic, but in terms of songs that got hourly debuts so far this year (this, Cole Swindell, Brothers Osborne, Darius Rucker, Tim McGraw, Old Dominion) this add date feels a bit on the lower end of said songs.

I wasn't aware that Luke Bryan's song technically goes for adds next week instead of this week, but it pulling in 45 adds seems to indicate that radio just went ahead and treated this like the adds date, which is what I expected. I'm sure he'll get plenty more next week, but for someone like LB, you just kinda have this expectation to go for immediate adds with a brand new song like this really. Also, the artists you all listed who got more adds for their hourly debuts are all current stars at country radio. This is the first thing released to country radio from The Band Perry Kimberly Perry in like 8 years, and there was a lot of talk on Pulse during their transition to pop that seemed to suggest that they were burning bridges on their way out of the country scene, which made more than a few of us suspect that they may not be welcomed back with open arms even if they did eventually come back. It remains to be seen just how this song does at country radio, but the start is WAY more promising than I would've anticipated honestly.

I am quite happy to see such a positive reaction to the record and Kimberly's return to Country Music. You can say that again. The Band Perry's last big hit was Chainsaw (#10 in 2014). Does anyone know what Neil and Reid are doing these days? Gracias.

This is incredible. Her voice... she's still got it, man. I've missed her vocals so much, and they pair SO well with this style of country music. I understand that maybe she/the band needed to experiment a bit and get all that out of their system, but I'm thrilled that she's finally made the full circle back to where she belongs imo. This song captures everything that made the OG so magical, but with an updated freshness. I can't fully put into words how enjoyable a listen this is. Love, love, love it. Welcome back, Kimberly. 👏👏👏 I've been thinking about this ever since the video of her performing this surfaced but this was such a smart move on her part. Given how The Band Perry alienated their fanbase with "Live Forever" and the referencing of "If I Die Young" in "Comeback Kid" but in a "how dare you forget where I come from" way (which seemed more like flipping off the fans that didn't really like their new direction), returning in a sincere callback to "If I Die Young" is the best thing she could've ever done and like you said, she nailed the song and came back swinging. I don't think completely new material would have captured people's attention as much as this one is doing right now either, but now this song is giving people reasons to check out other material from her when the Bloom EP comes out. Honestly I'm in awe at how smart this was.

Honestly I'm in awe at how smart this was. Agreed wholeheartedly. I don't think she would've gotten this splashy debut and 58 initial adds if she'd just dropped some random country track. There would've been some interest, but there's a fervor to her randomly resurfacing with a sequel to one of the biggest crossover smashes of the 2010s. So many nostalgic comments flooding social media about her being "back" and it honestly almost seems like a bunch of people had no idea what happened to them and probably thought The Band Perry just took a hiatus, as not everyone pays attention the way we do on Pulse. Definitely a smart move all around on her part!

We didn’t need this song at all but I’m glad we got it. It’s a nice mature retrospective look at the previous smash, in ways it reminds me of Taylor re-recording “Fifteen” with more life experience. Kimberly sounds great and the new lyrics are good!

That’s incredible, especially for her first appearance on the country charts in literally almost a decade. As others keep saying, it’s so nice to see Kimberly be welcomed back with such open arms considering the way she and her siblings went out, burning lots of bridges along the way and whatnot. Hopefully the adds keep pouring in throughout the chart run, so that this can climb as high up the charts as possible. It’d be amazing to see Kimberly be able to have a great solo career going forward.

Did people forget this got an hourly debut last week so of course it was gonna see a setback? This song is still so young and seems to be doing fine so far.

That blows! "If I Die Young, Pt.2" is such a beauty, I hope it can rebound! I have no doubt that it will. Hourly debuts like this song had always end up inflating the first-week airplay numbers to get as high a debut on the charts as possible, and once the deal wears off, those extra spins drop and cause the song to nosedive in total spin count. The song started off with close to 60 adds, which is simply exceptional for an artist who not only seemingly burned bridges with country radio on her way out but who has also pretty much not been heard from on the radio in the near decade since. Whether it’ll eventually become a chart topper remains to be seen, but this song is starting off marvelously.

It takes songs upwards of 35 weeks to peak nowadays so I wouldn't worry much about it.

I'm not sold on this becoming a hit. I feel like a lot of the early play was nostalgia for an artist who hasn't released anything in years.

Plus, radio has been against playing solo female artists for decades.

This to me seems unfortunately like “Hell yeah” by Little Big Town. I think the debut will be its highest position and it will just bounce around in the 40-55 range for a while.

It at least avoided going recurrent this week on Billboard by re-bulleting.

I doubt BB would let it go since it has only been out a few weeks. Tim McGraw's song debuted weeks ago then disappeared for a bit but is now trudging along. It can take songs 30+ weeks to finally start moving on BB.

It can take songs 30+ weeks to finally start moving on BB. It all depends if they follow their own rules. Their rules state that a song will be removed in the third consecutive week of audience loss. “Standing Room Only” never disappeared from the chart nor qualified for removal based on that criteria.

Really disappointing to see this make no gains on Billboard this week and almost fall off of the chart. I really am surprised it has been doing this bad given a strong add day and chart debut.
